now there was a really beautiful moment pregame tonight here at the MCG it took place in Melbourne's president's function and it was 1982 BR low medalist Brian Wilson he was reunited with his medal which he misplaced a few years ago you can see Gary P the CEO of Melbourne handing it back to him I don't know how the D's found it but they did you can see Brian Wilson super emotional there and Mitch clear caught up with him or is with him and his family now Mitch n incredible moment pregame Brian Wilson the 1982 Brown low medalist you've got Charlie back in your hand how does that feel it's an incredible feeling it was gone 10 years ago never to be found again and Melbourne football club they found it for me and I can now give it to my beautiful family uh and leave a legacy you've come to the footy tonight with your two daughters did you expect this to happen what did you think coming to the footy tonight no because I play with foots gray in Melbourne the club because I don't go to many games they invited me and I thought they alluded that it was something to do with both clubs but then I got there and uh I I I'm still in shock and it's just an amazing privilege to now be able to give it to my eldest which is Riley I can now give my brown to my beautiful 24 year old and his sister Riley how does that feel feels amazing we're as a family we're super happy to finally have it back and to know how much it means to Dad it's just incredible to have it back and Brian 10 years ago did you think you'd ever see it again no I didn't and for me it was uh an embarrassment each night to be a brown Low Middle the only one that had lost his brown low um um but to get it back is you know beyond belief and I truly thank you know Gary Pur and the team um and whoever handed it in we're still got to find out how how did we get it amazing they have it Brian Wilson 1982 Brown low medalist back in his hand it's the D's leading here at the MCG
