I'm Attorney Ben Crump along with attorney Tony rammen NCI and judge Ernestine dois we have the honor of representing the family of Tyrie Nicholls his parents roon and Rodney will are here with his brothers and sisters and grandmother cousins and uh whole community of supporters here in Memphis and around America from the very beginning tyr's family has prayed for justice and accountability and now that a jury has been selected his family continues to pray that the jury will receive all of the evidence and that they will render Justice for Tyree they put their faith in God that as roon well said something good must come from this tragedy something something good must come from this tragedy because the trial has began we're not going to comment on any of the proceedings or any of the evidence we're going to follow the lead and the temperament of roon and Rodney Wells and that is to pray and lean to God for understanding and so with that we're going to have Pastor Earl Fisher and Pastor Andre Johnson lead us in prayer as they will join with the family we ask Faith leaders all across America to pray with the family daily as they go through this trial Pastor Fisher join me in the attitude and posture of prayer we pray to the God of Justice we pray to the god of Truth we pray to the god of love we pray to the God that holds the whales family and the Nicholls family in the hollows of God's hands God we pray that your will will be done in this place and in this case we pray that Justice Rose down like Waters and righteousness like a mighty stream God we pray above all that you would continue to comfort and cover this family we pray for their sanity we pray for their strength we pray that your spirit will give them a peace that surpasses their own understanding God we pray for every angle and aspect of this case to reveal your truth yes may the members of the jury see with your eyes hear with your ears feel with your heart and moved by your spirit May Justice be done in your name yes in this case and in this place and for this family yes Lord May Ty's Spirit reign in this place yes may we hear his voice may we stand in solidarity with him and the ancestors we pray these things in your name aay and amen amen amen amen Pastor Johnson may we pray God we are still here we are still here yes Lord because you showed up yes Lord we're here today because you showed up yes Lord through the ins and outs you showed up yes Lord through the ups and downs you showed up yes Lord so our prayer is to continue to show up yes Lord show up and show out yes Lord may you lift us all with your love and grab us now with your grace yes Lord may you show up yes Lord and may we be open to New Revelations and thoughts yes Lord help us to understand what it is we need to see and to hear be with us all especially this family Lift us all now we're here we're still here because you showed up yes Lord be with us now yes Lord your name we say together yes Lord amen and thank God amen we uh Miss Roan and Rodney and their family have been praying so hard for justice yes and they've been praying for whole Justice uh this weekend they're going to attend the congression of Black Caucus conference in washingon Washington DC in the midst of the trial to remind America don't forget about Tyree nipples to remind America don't forget about the George Floy Justice and policing act that and they know that a part of that George floor Justice and policing uh bill now has the Tyreek Niel duty to intervene because they still pray not only Justice for Tyrie but they pray that nobody else child has to be taken from this Earth in this manner and so they understand prayer without works is dead that's right right re that's right and so they're going to continue to pray and to work for justice and they ask that you all would join them each and every day of this trial until they get Justice for Tyrie and his legacy will be worn as roon Wells said that something good comes from this tragedy yes thank you want to say anything excuse me what's your biggest hope Miss ran throughout this trial it's not who he is ask your question again I was saying what's your biggest hope during this trial our hope is that they found guilty um and to show the world that my son was a good person wasn't the criminal that they're trying to make it out to be and I'm just going to leave it at that right now
