yards through the air it's the Falcons in the Saints and it's all just aead on Madden NFL 25 what better way to start off the afternoon than with some football so here are the Falcons on offense for their first drive and amidst the veterans it's this rookie quarterback leading them out a 400 plusy passing day it takes everybody it takes protection it takes your eligible Playmakers to make those catches and gain your yards but it also takes a RedHot quarterback playing with tremendous confidence in belief in what he can do now his teammates will count on him to do it again we get a look at his rushing numbers from last week here what he was able to do in support that win only two yards and it brings up second and eight here we [Applause] go another carry for Robinson and he's going to be brought down at the 28 yd line call it a gain of six and they need only two now on third down this is a guy who man when he is in a group when he is feeling it you're just not going to bring him down with an arm tackle you better buckle up you need a textbook tackle on this guy R grab some CL and drive him to the ground with all and he'll push this up field andn that set it down that's what we call situational football you spend all week working on theel passing game package to take advantage of third Downs just like that they'll run here on first down he's brought down after a modest gate up to the 46 nice 6yd pick up they're going to have second and [Applause] four staying with Robinson he grabs the tackle he's going to go down right along field strike four yd pick up and they're just inch sh as we reach third [Applause] down from Midfield now that one's complete to London and he's tackled with the first down yard you know they call that the money down for a reason because you're just simply not going to last long in the NFL if you don't convert a good portion of your third Downs it's the money down and nice to see them roll the dice and continue the series on first down they'll run and he's going to run this down to the 36 yd line it's a solid seven yd pick up on first down now they're going to have second and three you know that's a good run right there keep the offense on schedule if he can average that type of yards per carry this guy's going to be more than all right with letting him lead the show and off on second and short and the defense gets there to force a small loss this is one of those situations where I watch the body language of the running back because it'd be very easy for him to raise his hands up look to the sideline in his old line and go what am I supposed to do there there was nothing no time at all to try and Escape react instead it goes backwards he runs this to the 25 before being brought down get a pick up of 14 y as the chains reset good offenses okay good play callers know how to utilize their personnel they know where they wanted them they wanted them on a route in space where he could make that will play comfortably but then go to work [Applause] after a hand off for Robinson running right and he's able to take this down in the Red Zone he's sto at the 17 good rip on first down that brings up second and two back to back carries here and he's brought down for a loss K it's amazing how fast these guys are on the field and how fast your fortunes can turn second and short run you're feeling good about yourself with a negative play well now comes a critical third down let's go now throwing now off play action and he just gets rid of this one but unfortunately that means fourth down coming up you know third and short is difficult one to call do you want to run into the teeth of a defense looking for that hand off or try to throw it to him and use the element of surprise evidently well that's one they the Falcons and their quarterback ready to take over once again they aren't even quite sure what this team is going to settle in as this season Brock but already this is an important contest for him that could have postseason implications down the line [Applause] they'll throw on first the shot to the end zone is incomplete that throw doesn't lead to six and now they face second down here we go go going right side Robinson with it he's got a nice G down inside the 10 yd line they get him out four there need a little more than that now on Third and six up [Applause] third he look to throw that one is incomplete couldn't hang on through the contact timeing is everything in life the timing is everything defensively that throw was just a little bit l the Falcons ready for their next series let out on offense by their quarterback and this an interesting game for both they and their Rivals across from a brock on the inside G and he's tackled for a short game give him a few yards on that run it's second and seven 23 y back to the well again he loses the football and the Saints grab it well sure you're looking to try to get a first down on second you're trying to create a manageable third down but I'll tell you what you're not trying to [Applause] do the Falcons headed back out on offense their [Applause] [Music] quarter and the gun they give it to him inside and he's going to get up to about the 33 but no more three yards on the first down play and that brings up second and seven I think one thing you learned C when you transition from college to the NFL not every run is going to be a big play some of them well they're just destined to end in a minimal game and some of them will set up that critical and the saintsing home and they dropped him and that pushes him back third down coming up loss of nine on the play brings up third down let's go now looking to throw for defensive play to J loose incomplete that one intended for Drake London and now they're staring at Fourth and long you know that was almost a nice chunk play before he was able to recover and provide the the home teams are being led back out there on offense by their quarterback and they take over down [Applause] 103 set up this is Robinson and he's tackled after gaining a handful around six that's going to make it second 3 yd ayd Pi BRS up from the 36 splits a couple of Defenders and completes it he has them a first down which they will tackle on the other side of this two-minute warning it's a pick up of n yards and it's good for an Atlanta first down [Applause] looking for a throw here got a man Robinson has it he's going to be across Midfield close to the 45 going out that's what you call efficiency exactly what you're looking for in first down it sets up second and very manageable then creates that space if you want to take a shot down field P brings it in and he's able to reach the 40 on that play that one gains seven and the Falcons will have a first slated Downs to approach here from the 40 let's go now shotgun snaap looking to throw here's a throw on the out complete he takes it across the 30 before heading out that's an 11 yd pickup and it gives them the first [Applause] down go throwing again here finds his Target Robinson and this one does not go far that's a pretty similar result to a first down Run play moves It Forward keeps you on schedule makes second and third down a whole lot easier to manage able to hit Robinson complete he's brought down at the 17 yd line he come through with a nice gain there gain a 10 first down at that down in distance this group was pretty confident in the screen get him enough yards for the first and a did so long as it keeps working like that I bet you it'll be a go-to play for them when they need it the next time he'll dump this one off to his running back complete that's a g of 13 and it sets him up with first and goal after year the best offenses multi it's not just the receivers or the tight end that can make play through the air when you get running backs that can ATT the middle of the field like that man of difficult on the defense can only yard took a couple of guys to haul him down near the line we'll pause now for an injured player and it looks like he's worse for wear after handling that last carry second chance at six here it's second and [Applause] goal they give it to him up the middle and he's caught behind the line for a loss this is one of those plays that I wish we had the Huddle miked up Kate cuz I can assure you that offense align in their own way just telling that running back sorry we did not give you any chance third down from the gun and will go it's an Atlant touchdown the Falcons a chance to tie before half Kyle pits with a touchdown well Brock you know this better than most sometimes these dudes can be a quarterback's best friend finding the tight end in the end zone for six has been that way for decades when you think about it Kate from John this offense and their quarterback making their way back out there ready to take over once again they really had the passing game clicking on that last touch down Drive partner we'll see if they stick with that or if they mix things up a bit on this series back to throw on First and 10 he's going to get this complete to his running back and he's out of bounds beyond the 35 y that is a textbook first down completion sets up second and very manageable and creates space to take that shot down [Applause] field running for the marker on second and nothing doing on that R Defenders bottle it up quickly nothing gained or lost on that run and now it's third and three you want to see the term read and react with the little video in the football dictionary that's it all plays on the table here for third and three set up throwing off the play fake here he has the first elimin they get there to take him down right around the 41 they manage 22 on the rip and a first down you know K will'll find teams go to this Crossing route concept sometimes a dozen times a game a lot of times it's for shorter yardage but sometimes things breaking the right coverage for a much bigger impact play it's a nice gain off a really good effort there just to stay upright minute on the play bringing up second and four and [Applause] back to throw now it's London and they stop him he's marked down along that 18 yd line they're calling for a stoppage now looks like we had somebody injured on the play oh and this is notable here it's Drake London who's hurting all set up now for first and 10 here we go here we [Applause] go they'll run it with be and he'll have a short pick up down the 17 just a gain of one and that brings up second and nine [Applause] up let's go now another carry [Applause] for flag game they were pretty goes away via the penalty we're going to wait to see how they respond everyone's prepped it's second down now go running it after the penalty and the defense gets there to force a small L this offense may want to try and disguise their run a little bit I don't know if it's the old lineman stance I don't know if it's a Cadence I don't know what it is but after two straight plays going backwards this defense is all over them third and long for him here and there's a man there it's intercepted picked off by Howard by [Applause] Saint the offense being led back out by its quarterback as they get geared up for their next possession they'll look to KN up this game right now the here's Robinson up the middle finally they bring him down he shook off a couple of Defenders there on a nice pick up first down play Nets him five it's going to be second and five BR up and five they give it to him again that's good there with a new set of downs to you know coach gets in that QB's headset P told his offense his QB listen I don't want to see a third down on this possession or something kind of like that whatever version he told him it worked Open complete and he breakes into enemy territory before being stopped on a huge game we always hear about a tight end quarterback's best friend that play is so indicative of it Kate you love a big Target and you know if you can hit him in stride he's got a chance to get some big yards after the catch and he's brought down for a loss these stops they don't always make the endend of game highlight re but they Absolut Le should the coaches and players know it offenses are always counting on yards on that type of run and anytime that results in a loss it could be a potential drive he has it down to the8 yd line on the that's a defense go right just get us to third down so we can have a chance to get off the field that was a good adjustment on that stop in particular the touchdown the Falcons cut it to one late in the third so they punch it in for six Brock and now a conversion away from tying this game back up this one just has the FI doesn't it the makings of a one [Applause] up they'll come out throwing into the hands of PS and he's short of the first after a mile game it appears all that work and studying that you quarterbacks love to do in the build up to the game Brock it is certainly paid off this guy has picked apart this defense much of the contest this is one of those games you appreciate there's going to be Peaks there's going to be valleys going to be mountain tops just like pitchers don't have all their stuff every time out well when you do and you're electric the nearly an interception on that play and it'll be third and five coming up he'll throw it rifles it and it's caught this one brought to a halt at about the 36 yd line a gain of only a yard it's fourth [Applause] down that's the two-minute warning here from Atlanta Falcons losing by seven offense looking confident but they need four here on fourth down here we go here we go looking to throw he runs him beyond the marker and he'll get it up to the 44 that's a clunch seven yd pickup and it pays off the call to go for it on fourth down on the 44 yd line now first and 10 let's go now to throw he goes back to him yet again complete and he's going to be Dr looks like at that 37 yd line it's a gain of 19 on the play and it's good for an Atlanta first down markers reset follow the 37 here he is to throw short pass caught by his tight end he pushes this down to the 22 yd line the end result there 15 yd and a first I think my favorite part was the magic he worked after catch the way he took the completion so much more out of it adding all the extra yardage now to throw close to the eight 14 yds on a nice play there and it gives him first and goal they BN this 12y op combine well all the way back to last century when I had to throw in this throw this a Big Boy Throw it's a differentiator can you make that deep out throw on time on RM and accurately that was teaching tape right there get a few on the forward up and it's second and goal [Music] [Applause] [Applause] looking to throw it Defender arrives right as the ball does and the hit knocks it free incomplete think that was a throw cake that just came a little bit too late what it did is it gave that defense time to come up and deliver a pop and knock the ball loose or he could secure it bullly and will go it's anant touchdown the to a on the scoreb all right so the offense does it's job Brock now they need their defense to give him a chance to overcome that big deficit the momentum in the building's clearly changed we can feel it here in the booth but you're right it's now to the defense to make a stop and give them a chance throwing now and this is C oh he gets the two points with those [Music] [Applause] [Music] FAL earn the win in this one and it could have gone either way down to the very end but they were able to come up with a clutch plays take the victory for for e we going out tonight
