[Music] Isaac Freeman 3 born August 6th 1971 better known by his stage Nam Fatman Scoop was an American rapper hype man and radio personality noted for his booming raw vocal presence on various hip-hop songs he was best known for his guest performances on the 2005 singles lose control by Missy Elliot and it's like that by Mariah Carey and for his 1999 sleeper hit single be faithful featuring The crookland Clan which topped the UK singles chart in 2003 Freeman had an estimated net worth of $5 million at the time of his death he died on August 30th 2024 at the age of 53 early life and personal life Isaac Freeman 3 was born in New York City where he grew up in Harlem Freeman had two children he married twice once to Shanda Freeman they divorced after 13 years together career Freeman adopted the stage named Fatman Scoop from the nickname given him by his uncle jack as a child because he loved ice cream he was known as a rapper but also performed as a hype man and radio presenter as well as appearing on television Fatman Scoop first came to prominence with the release of single B fath F featuring The crookland Clan which topped the charts in the United Kingdom and the Republic of Ireland in October 2003 for years after its original release and peaked within the top 10 of the charts in Denmark and Australia the song had been a favorite in clubs around the world for years but it took two years to clear the samples from Jay-Z Black Sheep Queen pen the beat nuts and Faith Evans throughout his career Fatman Scoop collaborated with numerous artists including John Janet Jackson Whitney Houston Pitbull Skrillex Timberland David geta and the situation he became well known for his guest performances in 2005 he guested on Mariah cares it's like that and on lose control by Missy Elliott and Sierra which reached at number three on the Billboard Hot 100 in the US its video won the Grammy award for best short form music video and the song was nominated for best rap song in the Grammys in 2004 Fatman Scoop was featured in the UK TV series chancers broadcast on Channel 4 mentoring six British musicians trying to achieve success in the United States in 2007 he had a role on the animated television series The bondu appearing as himself in season 2 episode 5 The Story of Thugnificent and episode 15 the story of gang delicious part two from the same season in 2008 Fatman Scoop and his then wife Shandon Freeman hosted a reality show and podcast on MTV called man and wife the show covered topics such as jobs finance relationships and sex on August 27th 2015 Fatman Scoop entered the Celebrity Big Brother 16 UK versus USA house in the United Kingdom as a contestant on September 14th he was the third housemate to be evicted on day 20 where he finished in 11th place in July 20 8 scoop featured on the remix to Sierra's single level up which also featured Missy Elliott the single remix was the first song to feature all three artists since 2005's lose control during the covid-19 pandemic being unable to travel he had to give up being hype man so he started up other businesses including Trucking and an ice cream company in July 2024 Fatman Scoop collaborated with Tech 9 on the single no popcorn on August 30th 2024 the same day he had to collapse which led to his death scoop released two new singles Let It Go with dice peso and our house alongside Dutch electronic music act Bingo Players and American DJ team Disco Fries death on August 30th 2024 Freeman collapsed during a performance in hamen Connecticut and was rushed to a hospital the following day it was announced that he had died rest in peace Isaac Freeman you may have gone but you will never be forgotten thank you for watching kindly subscribe like and share this video to family and friends [Music]
