the 2023 season was a historic one in Oxford for Lane kein Squad breaks in the clear he's in the end zone touchdown oen has won over LSU 55- 49 this the game you dream about man I love it to tie it no good no good the Rebels win it anyway re it up and get out of here oh my goodness cuz what we do to Bob we do to Bob prescor is all by himself catches it at the five takes it to the house yay pror the tight ends did it culminating with an oxonian Takeover in Atlanta you can do something that's never been done right this right in front of you right you got to grab it he's got prescor down on their Sidelines caught it the 15 to the 10 to the five touch down oh miss he's hit the ball comes out it's on the turf and the rebels recover it pass to Dart and a first down to the 31 well that's the most impressive fourth down conversion we've had this year man I'm so proud of these guys man I'm so happy for the seniors uh I mean this is what we play for playing the biggest in the biggest stages and and play with your best friends that's what it's all about and winning more next to you Jackson was like the QB was presented with the opportunity for one more go around from the head ball coach a last dance so to speak he was having discussions with me Trey Jordan JJ ji I mean Kaden a lot of the guys that were kind of on the fence about leaving for the draft and he kind of put it all together put the term the last dance and we thought it was super cool and I think it was something that we kind of bought into D he was doing a good job convince me to come back and things like that so you know me and him just kept talking and just kept talking about it until eventually it L on to JJ this is supposed to be the year that we do big things so like I mean why not make it the last day and make it like Michael Jordan go out with our faith it was kind of the general consensus you could kind of feel it that we just haven't done enough I think we all just wanted to leave every stone unturned yeah that's that's that's the plan and and uh that's the last dance with the core of the first 11- win team in school history returning all eyes turned to the ace recruiter in the transfer portal Jackson Dart I felt like I was a part of the recruiting department um as probably like the lead recruiter especially this offseason yeah he he was on my not going to lie uh he was just you know making sure you know hey what's going on with this guy you know how how we feeling about juice Wells you know is he still coming talk to me about Nate and Juice you know the two linemen from Washington like how's your trip in Seattle going so I mean he was as vested as you possibly could be as soon as my name hit the portal he's already texting me in where you know I'm asking him where he's from and you know we're just chopping it up getting to know each other didn't stop like once I was committed once I was here every other guy that we're trying to Target he's sending me their Instagram and he's telling me you know hit this guy up and you know tell him about your experience try to get him here so he's definitely a big asset for us recruiting wise we recruited a lot of defensive players a lot of portal guys and there wasn't a dinner uh that we brought an official visitor in here that Jackson Dart wasn't there and it wasn't cuz there was an offense player there cuz there wasn't but I think he had in his mind I'm going to come back and and we know we got to be better on defense in order to win a championship I was out at about every day and it was like it got to a point where I was getting no sleep I was just recruiting recruiting recruit recruit but that was come with it if you want a team like we have now I thank Jackson for everything he had to sacrifice and he had to do I mean he could have been training somewhere doing other things and he would text me every night you know somebody else would hit the portals the coach you seen him yet and uh so he worked his off in December to really help improve the roster uh not only on his side but more importantly on our side and uh he's been a huge asset to us I kind of took that role upon myself just because you know I I want this place to be special you know I want to do things that never been done here in a very long time and I want to have a legacy that that lives on with the pieces in place kein and the squad look to build chemistry the only way they know how we create our own box here we we create a new atmosphere and we create things that people have never done before I think with this day and age of college football I think it was a really cool opportunity to have a lot of fun it just was an ideal on the wall and then we kept talking about it then you walk out there and you got a slam dunk contest that was just very awesome and unique I think that's going to change how spring games are done in the future because you know we work so hard all year round and then it's kind of like a little fun day where you still get to compete not only did the event bring out the competition but also the Stars it means everything to come back this is a place I call home who be home you know put smiles on people fa man it's a great event you know I just want to support the kids in here and you know just have fun ear I missed the school man I miss the memories and just being being here with AJ and a couple of my other guys Cody and seeing the young guys is a true blessing you know it's really all that I wanted um oh miss always going to be in my heart you know red and blue and white Forever you can just tell there's a lot of pride in the guys who have played here at Old Miss and in the program how it's doing and and where it's going in a day full of surprises the man under the visor had one more trick up his sleeve we have a secret weapon coming when you're down you call it a secret weapon get out the way let's go let's go Joey let's go Jo that's insane that's crazy OG gzy Goin Hot Dog King like literally like he I don't you know what I mean like he just eating them yeah that was pretty neat ultra competitive guy obviously so it was neat having him around and neat for the fans to see in the players I don't think he gets any better than that like as in uh he's really a players coach like players want to play for hey yay just give me my money told me you going to clap the environment in the Manning Center is second to n hyperfocused on competition and fun and we just spent all day together we'd go straight from the facilities working out we'd all go out to the pickle ball courts and it was just a lot of fun competing and it it it gets intense out there for sure he's a good player he's a really good player you know I'm a little bitter uh cuz I was his original partner you know for the tournament we we had a good run and then I got fired uh for for sawer uh who was the best player on the team recruiting like the portal you know you win with good players you win with the best pickle ball partner you got someone that carries him his teammate's backs hurting a little bit they scheme every match up so you're going to see two different pictures you know every time you play against them and they're going to strategize and and try to do whatever it takes wi Jackson pick can you rate his game um great serve um but average net play and poor at the Baseline in returns uh he's very kind of has one speed do his game not a lot of touch we play football with each other but we're also like best friends off the field I mean we're always with each other doing a lot of activities with one another I think at the end of the day that just makes a stronger bond between uh you know your brother and ultimately just helps you out on the field it is these types of moments that you see from a team meeting that make people I think that have been in a locker room or been on teams before go ooh that team likes each other that team seemingly all in I think the biggest thing is our coaches did a great job of recruiting the guys that really wanted to buy into our program and really believed at heart what we have going here and and the potential that we have for especially this season they're here for the same reason they want to win and I think when you get all guys that want to compete and want try to win a championship and take their ego out of it and they're selfless they're going to look like they get a loss because they all got the same goal right they're not worried about at 25 plays or 50 plays did we win the damn game [Music] when two record setting QBs get together the first topic of conversation isn't X's and O's but instead it's their hairstyle what do you call this what do you call this hair cut what do you what do you what do you ask for well I used to always do the little patch like right here and and then I just wanted to do something different so I was like I was about to do my whole head and I was like nah my mom didn't let me do it so I just did something simar different like I like to hang out I had a little hair hanging out to help little you you had you had some lettuce little lettuce have a little lettuce you to do now yeah thank you got good the appearances shaking hands and kissing babies appreciate yall coming like your jacket absolutely appreciate R you want to put a hand on the baby you can but when you pair up two signal callers you got a talk ball that drive against the Patriots we talked about that Super Bowl 42 against The Undefeated uh Patriots so the mindset is we're about to go win a Super Bowl and we had this secret play they we we had not run all year we practiced it where basically the offensive line doesn't block anybody and I scramble around and I throw it right in the middle of the field field around three Defenders and Tyrie comes down off his helmet yeah and it it it never worked in practice but we we felt good about it in that situation yeah I was in third grade and I was pissed on that one thank you thanks Tom Brady fan huh I was I'm I'm your fan now a fan I feel the love great honor to be up there with Eli um obviously coach kein but um know we we appreciate all the support that we get um you know we wouldn't be the team the program without you guys and and the impact that you guys have made is is tremendous we really appreciate it hoty after a communion of quarterbacks took place a tournament of tight end so your worst player their putt if they are the first one to make the putt for your team it counts as an extra like stroke off okay so Quan's mine s's y''s quiet okay that you cannot change that that setting St good luck man fair game captains I appreciate you guys all hard work all right we'll uh we'll reconvene later kden can play seen it in person yeah he can for sure all right my putter he's holding a putter for the first time in his life right now so yes I have the best player on my team but he is hands down going to be the worst putter I so that's kind of fair so I think it's when Tom doesn't miss a fairway all day sometimes people start talking trash before they start and trying to get the game down I I'm not as good as they Heart frames on you know some slight Chrome Heart little bracelet you know got some little alligator medine shoes going on tonight little Ox blood going on but know we going to hold hotti totty fit right now right now that's what we going on right now going with school colors hotti totty repping hard right now tell us about the what are you wearing today uh hotti ttty that's what we going right now that's the biggest that's the biggest thing right now shout out my mom shout out my mom helped me out shout out my uh Taylor her bati you know they they got it down pack you should do a shout out to any nil involved in that deal or nothing he didn't take care of you on the suit of me come on going be kid me like how did you know that you were going to be a player rep for Old Miss football at media day what was that what was that process like that was all my mom to be completely honest um she she just had a a great idea she was just like you know what um we just going to go ahead get you a suit made you know yeah say if they don't we just wear for the season so I'm glad that we that she started out early you know got a head start and everything everyone knows a fit isn't complete without the proper accessories yeah this is my first cowboy hat I swear waa yeah my head my hair all over the place okay not too bad just a little too tall that's about it got a cowboy hat let's go a great time out here in Dallas but it's about time about to come to an end and uh I can't wait to get back to Oxford get back to working I'm super excited for this season how to with the summer break officially over the 2024 Rebels gathered for one final meal before fall Camp number four four down one to go this the last one down he got two he got two years left one more only one more if y'all remember this my old friend he he left us for the hurricane but he came back yes sir man got to be back man what's the play for this year man run the ball run the ball put it in the end zone whole lot of N More none less sauté green beans with a side of roll that's QB creb say shut up I got to shut up it is what it is knowing when to be quiet is important but that's not where QB 1's advice stops uh hydrate that's it hydrate get good sleep time management it's important the best ability is availability so as long as you around and you able to go you'll be ready man you'll be well prepared get your rest get off the game and get off FaceTime with your girlfriend go to sleep Aiden prescor is on number 12 he is on Fall Camp 12 don't let him fool you he's red shirt he's done Co he's done I mean he has done everything you can think of medical I don't know he's 12 year of college my boy I'm best friends with a 35-year-old he's not paying attention he's got to worry about academics he's almost graduated 12 years later finished up with our first te- Mill excited to get going in the camp we've been looking forward to it all offseason so let's get to it I hit I think I hit four four what four to be right there you're not going to have it 100% % of the plays that's the goal all right but I want to point out the guys that are in this group when we watch film tonight that do it the way we talk about doing it that's what we got to have all right there's going to be some we wish we had back there's going to be some things that we got to correct that's why we practice nobody's mad about that thought we did a good job of taking what we did all day yesterday it's a long ass day all morning and did a good job assignment wise now we just got to clean up the details right hydrate get your
