Golf Academy members and guests welcome back for today's episode and we've got a recommendation from Innovative program School 7979 gave me the option said let's do Cory Connor or Lil AV Vu but you know I don't like options so we're going to do both and if you see this Majestic Angelic glow on me that's actually a fire over the other side of the hill so I'm doing this under Fire to bring you education on the golf swing so if you do like just hit that like share subscribe really helps us out it really helps promote the channel to give you some more education so for today let me move my big head out the way here let's look at Lilia Vu and we're going to watch her swing and her swing is very unique just because it is pretty simple when you break it down except when you start looking at a couple things she does if you try to emulate the swing it can become complex just because her arms and her body do get disconnected at some point and she has to rec connect but she does a fantastic job doing so and that's why I love looking at these gol swings over and over again and bringing you this education because the more you watch these the more you'll start to see that the great players share some things in common but they're also unique that none of these swings are the same but you can start to break down balance footwork rotation they all share that in common but how they hit the golf ball they are all very unique so let's just break down and I accidentally hit stop so let's just break break this swing right away and what we're going to do is go straight to her driver's swing face on and what we're going to do is draw a couple of connection lines just to show you how she is connected in her starting position obviously we all would like to have a good triangle set and my opinion on triangles is they do have to run right through your hands the sense of the triangle which is is great and it actually connects with her golfball which is really good in my opinion and I strive for my amateurs to set up this way because there is less things to time if you start getting those hands ahead now of a sudden you're starting to increase an angle so in other words if your hands are here and they're forward pressing all of a sudden you have now a created a new angle here that you have to try to carry down through the golf ball or manipulate your body to counteract that angle so you want to limit any motion that you can now the great in the world that seen for presses and there up there in the world I've seen back presses I've seen neutral presses like this and they all hit the ball incredibly well which again once you start getting to the elite level they're outliers they're just they're there for a reason mostly because of pure talent but let's take a look at how she carries this angle and more importantly how she rotates around that right pivot joint so we're going to leave that bra brace line on the right side and you'll see she doesn't shift over as much as some other professionals and she is actually creating some gap between her hip joints and where it was that just shows that she's rotating but at the top of her swing we're going to stop it right where her body stops to turn bam right there so if you take things in relationship we're going to leave that triangle up there for now so you have to forgive all these lines but if you take this in relationship if you look at that shoulder turn and that hip turn we can see that the hip turn is probably half of the shoulder turn at the very least sometimes it's the third with these ladies because they are very flexible and she's developing a lot of xfactor stretch but what a cool thing that I've noticed and I want you to start looking at this for your swing at home is at the top of your swing wherever your shoulders stop rotating that's basically where your shaft should be it matches that shoulder turn if you start getting that shaft much longer that either means that you are not turning enough and your hands are trying to make up for that turn or you're trying to steal some distance and in order to steal some more distance get that clip to go back now you are inviting timing now these great in the world can do this because they have really good timing let's see how much more she gets her arms involved so she extends that angle without moving her shoulders you notice her shoulders didn't change much she extends that angle a lot and now all of a sudden she's created uh you can see that angle over there that's now carrying that extra potential energy down to the golf ball but that also comes at a cost because you now have2 seconds to reconnect to where she should have been plus she's turning through she does a great job though let's clear up some of these lines so we don't get too confused and let's work our way down we can start to see there's that one piece turn she's not pushing to the left side she's still maintaining her spine angle she's not leaning left you don't see any motion this way she's actually staying in her spine angle which is something that I recommend that you do because you want to stay behind the golf ball now if you notice her golf ball position to her Center of her chest is met up right there she won't move anymore towards the Target now she rotates through now if you take a look at a triangle here let's redraw that triangle and see which side it is favoring it is all of a sudden favoring that right side so it's a right shoulder action from this point on so now she has to do two things she can either tilt back and try and shut that club face down with some extra turn or she can maintain that motion and get her hands involved so watch as we clear all these lines up and let's do that watch what happens to the hands the hands now have to start to make up for that room and look at that shaft I mean that shaft is kicking this is another important thing I want you to make sure you have the correct shaft because if it doesn't kick correctly it's going to change a lot of your impact positions now take a look at the hands the hands have now have to move back around in front of the chest you notice how they catching up there so this is the is the timing I'm talking about where I've seen other tour professionals other really good players get to this position naturally in terms of one piece so the whole body and the hands move together and that's how you can create a lot of force with your body turn but if you're getting here now you have to close that Gap pretty quickly and she does a really good job and I notice her misses do she does tend to miss both sides and that would explain why because in this short action you can miss both sides pretty quickly but I hope that helps you but let's take a look at one more angle because I think I've got a really cool angle here to show you uh let's see if we can fast forward and find it this one right here okay so this will show you what I'm trying to explain as well is right before she gets down to impact so we see the body turn look at how much the body will rotate together with those hands hands are rotating fine with the body they're keeping up right about here the body's going to stop turning and watch the hands so the body stops right there watch the hands and the hands have to now make up and reconnect so this is the timing I'm talking about now for her to become one of the best in the world she has to have phenomenal timing and that's just a god- gifted Talent most of us don't have that plus it also helps that she can probably hit 3 or 4,000 golf balls a week if needed to maintain that timing so this view I just wanted to bring this up to you and show you that this is really helpful to see it from this angle to help you understand that disconnection has to be reconnected somewhere or you're going to suffer so make sure you look at your back swing and see where your arms are in relation to the shoulder turn and you want to try and connect them together so now let's bring up let's see if I can find him here Cory Connor let's bring him up and this is a another beautiful swing let's Zoom this in so we can get a little bit closer here probably should have zoomed in the other one but oh well okay so now let's look at Corey and we're going to watch this swing boom a little different there so obviously a little bit taller a lot more body rotation and the hands keeping up a little bit better than what we saw with the other swing but let's take a look and see the difference with this weight distribution because we see a little bit more upper body distribution of the weight we're going to still draw that triangle and also the right brace line just to show you so again we're going to look at where do they start the center of the chest goes through the hands and and right to the club head in his case so the golf ball is sitting slightly ahead a little bit up helps him hit up on the golf ball which is fine but look at that setup this is a setup I want you guys to start to emulate because it is a lot easier at the time now as we take that club back we're going to leave the triangles there we can see a little bit more weight distribution than what we saw with the other swing the other swing is more turning around that right hip this one is Shifting to get the weight distribution and then turn so now we see a little more exaggerated tilt line let's draw this and our favorite Barney purple bam so what he's trying to set up is he's trying to set up an increase of tilt so when he drives through if we do 90 degrees from that that'll just give an eyeball so basically he is trying to swing up on the golf ball and any more tilt under you will only make that go higher so let's actually do an arrow which makes more sense so I don't have to draw this again so let's say he tilts further back on the way down now he's going to be able to swing higher and higher and higher that's a little bit too extreme but you get my points but let's take a look at what he does let's erase those lines too and see that so he's at the top now keep in mind look at also the same thing here the shoulder turn and then also that elongated arm position notice how high the hands are it really helps to get hands high you notice that 99.9% of golf ball Strikers that hit it a long way get their hands high and tigers noted that too he said you want you you want to hit the ball hard get your hands high because they have to get high get long and create the room you need room and if your hands are stuck on the too low they're going to get stuck to your body you can't create the gapping to turn and tilt he's got the perfect gapping we take a look at this first motion here so you can see that it is all down he's pulling those hands down to shallow him out he's driving the weight that he stored up on the right side to the left side he's still staying in that posture that he changed on his back swing so as he strikes it now look at his tilts his tilt is increased again so let's draw this new Tilt in red let's do Arrow so there's his new Tilt here and what does that help him do hand path will be higher so watch after he hits the golf ball notice the hand path the hand path matched that spine angle tilt adjustment so the more you can get your shoulders to tilt back and hang back the hand path will escape higher it's just natural unless you have super long stretchy Gumby arms it's it's going to work its way up so he's able to drive the golf ball up but take a look at this clearance after so let's clear all these lines up here and look at these spacing between his forearms and you can actually see spacing right there you can see the little daylight there you can see the background so if anybody's watching back there you can probably see his face and take a look there so now he releases the pass impact but what's great is look at the quiet lower body he hasn't fired a lot he is using his tilting and his driving to strike this golf ball and that allows his hands to stay more out in front and work their way up so two different approaches both great golfers I would I would would kill to have a gol swing like this if you saw my you can actually see my gol swing it's not that pretty it works on occasion it worked a lot better many moons ago but we all have to adjust as we get older so if for my older viewers out there just watch this don't try and swing like this you're going to be in a hospital and we don't have any sort of insurance policies at the lion Golf Academy YouTube channel you're on your own take my tips with a grain of salt because this is all education I'm not saying that you need to go out and swing like them but some things that you can learn from today's two videos is their setup you notice how their setup was about the same in terms of their triangle their hand position matching the golf club matching the golf ball there's no for pressing anybody that for presses is inviting chaos because you have to now change your body position to align that angle that you've created at the start of your swing so grain of salt again hope that helps you if you do like this please hit the hit a quick like for me really helps promote the channel really helps grow if you know anybody else that whiches to get educated on the golf swing in a light Airy matter send them this way I appreciate it if you also have any recommendations on who to do it on I'm going to try and do these daily they're not going to be edited they're just going to be straight up raw so hope that helps you I'll see you next time ferah and greens
