filters so they don't usually suck in dirt or sand but when they do then their body builds what's called an acre around it which is like a protective bubble and then uh every time that that oyster sucks in water and the goes to spit it back out it goes by that nacre and twist it and turns it and the proteins and minerals in the water build up and layer after layer after layer become a nice
