there's this book called Power of Habit by Charles dck Charles dck talks about Michael Phelps in the book so 2008 Beijing Olympics gold medal final and he wakes up at the same time that he wakes up every day has his breakfast at the same time comes for the race wears his suit stands on the pedestal he listening to the same music that he listens to every day and then takes it off his name is called off and looks at the pool and jumps in and then after lap three or four he realizes that there is some water droplets in his swimming goggles but he keeps on swimming because he knows is so used to of doing this that he knows that after how many strides he's going to reach the other end of the pool so keeps on doing it and by lap six or seven or eight maybe if I'm not wrong he's blind pretty much so he doesn't know what others are doing he's doing this thing at his own pace after a while he knows that this is the 20th stride and then this is the 21st stride he touches and he knows okay I'm done with it and then he takes off his glasses looks at the scoreboard and the scoreboard says WR world record
