Davis Fire Update 9-13-24 - Tahoe Tonight

yes indeed the Davis fire um has been playing just just harassing the area to put it lightly uh 5800 Acres have burned I think I me I said 37% contained we're at 58% contained uh as of right now um the perimeter map shows the evacuation area right there you're looking at it right there thank you so much Natalie she's pulling up our director right there and the yellow of course is the evacuation warning area now some of these road closures I want to keep I want now this is just so you know this is recorded a little bit earlier in the day so I'm watching this seeing this from a watch Duty app it's so good so comprehensive um here's the evacuation map I mean orders right here road closures also Mount Rose highway from Timberline Drive to Fair viiew Boulevard it is still closed and Davis Creek Road also is still closed evacuation shelters still you can see this from the map um may have them some of on there different part of the uh the app right there uh Neil Road recreation center is one of the evacuation shelters and the animal shelters uh if you haven't got the uh Insight Fuji Park and Fairgrounds the the small animal shelter right there at waso County Regional animal services and then un and our equestrian center for your larger animals as well so they've been taking care of people uh we're taking care of you here I'm going to give you some also I was explaining to you some of the forest issued emergency closures that are happening um these areas are now closed the Gina Creek Regional Park and Visitor Center the Mount Rose welcome Plaza is closed Mount Rose Campground uh T Thomas Creek Trail head and the Jones White Creek Trail head and the uh White Creek Trail Head ofir Creek Trail head and the Tahoe meals trail head um these are expected to go through September 25th until notified otherwise this comes from the US Forest service right there in hum Hol toobi National Force issued this yesterday so keeping you up to date those things are closed but I want to tell you the firefighters who are out there doing this day in day out keeping it away from the uh um the mountain there as much as they can from the ski resort they are working tirelessly
