college football is almost upon us and on Saturdays Evon might be the place to be if you can get a ticket that's the thing we'll see if Northwestern can duplicate its surprising success from last season without a doubt the wild cats will have the most picturesque home field in college football while Ryan Field under goes a makeover our Jory Paris takes us on a tour of the lakefront Diggs in Evon the cats got their first impressions of playing on the newly named Northwestern Medicine field at Martin stadium and while it's still an active construction site excitement is building for David Brawn and a team coming off of eight wins for the first time in 5 years but it fits Northwestern you know and and I think that's what's what's so cool about it I mean I I would challenge anyone in the country to get a bunch of people together to to be this creative this solutions based to to pull something off like this the cat's temporary home for the next two seasons holds about 15,000 fans compared to just over 47,000 at ryanfield but players feel that can create a unique home field advantage they're worried about the stadium and and you know not about the game so I mean that's that's going to work in our favor so U no but it'll be good it'll be fun um I'm sure they're going to be amazed just like you know we are I think there's just been a buzz around campus you know within our program within our community as far as you know this being our home field you know it's right here on campus you know students can easily come to the games and you know it being here our home field where we played played and practice on for years now up to this point it makes it that much more special to us and crws continue to work quickly as the first of five home games that will be played here for Northwestern is just over two weeks away on August 31st against Miami of Ohio in Evon Jory Paris CBS News Chicago
