plenty of questions surrounded Colorado ahead of Thursday's season opener against North Dakota State but one thing was certain if the Buffalo are going to win games this season they'll need to rely on their offense that's exactly what they did in their 31 to 26 victory over the Bison North Dakota State and Colorado traded blows in the first half with shador Sanders throwing for over 250 yards in the first two quarters however the formidable bison carved up the buffalo's defense to take a halftime lead it looked like it might not be Colorado's night when a pass from Sanders deflected off a player's calf and was intercepted by a North Dakota State Defender early in the third quarter however the buffalo's defense quickly regained control setting up the offense to take a lead that they held on to for the rest of the game the Bison made it interesting down the stretch cutting an 11-point deficit to just five and giving themselves a chance in the final minute but cam Miller's hail marry pass was caught just four yards short of the end zone Miller had an outstanding night throwing for 277 yards and rushing for 81 yards while scoring two touchdowns but it was Colorado stars who posted the eye-catching numbers Sanders threw for 445 yards and four touchdowns while Travis Hunter racked up 132 yards and three touchdowns the last of which came on an incredible catch Sanders and Hunter weren't alone as Jimmy horn Jr exploded for 198 yards and a touchdown largely thanks to a huge first half Colorado's defense likely needs to make adjustments if they want to have the season they're aiming for but it's clear that the buffalo's offense will be must see TV again when Dion Sanders and his team traveled to Lincoln to face Nebraska in week 2 if you enjoyed the video please like And subscribe
