it's that humidity that will get you be smart out there next seven days. Coming up next. First up here at 6:00. Students and parents are on high alert this morning after Lamar Louise Curry, middle School's principal, sent out a message overnight about someone making a threat through social media. We want to get out live to NBC 6's Julia Bags. She's outside of the school in West Kendall with the latest on what we know about this threat. Julia, that message came out overnight. What did the principal say? Yeah. So it alerted parents to some kind of threat? Wasn't very specific. Just saying it was a threat on social media. We have been speaking with a mom about her concern for sending her daughter here this morning to Lamar Louise Curry Middle School. Now, we know parents received a phone call with a recorded message from the principal. Here. We also have an image of what appears to be the threat in question. We've blurred the image, but you can see the words at the top in a cryptic message that appears to inform readers. Don't go to school tomorrow. And then it has the initials of Lamar Louise Curry Middle School. Now, as for the principal's recorded message, parents are told the school was informed of a threat made on social media and that the school immediately alerted Miami-Dade Schools police. It goes on to say officers are now investigating the incident and taking appropriate security measures. The recording even mentioned legal consequences for threats against schools, no matter how large or small those threats may be. Now, as for that mom who alerted us last night about the threat, take a listen to what she's thinking this morning. As a point out. Rather deal with the school option. Then lose my child because their life is priceless and nothing can bring it back. So you're hearing those thoughts from that mother about keeping her child home today. However, she did point out classes are not canceled here at school today, and we are working to get details about this incident from Miami-Dade schools. No word just yet, but stay close. We'll let you know new information as soon as we get
