former NFL star Jason Kelce isn't planning to leave Philadelphia anytime soon as he transitions into a new career as an analyst on ESPN's Monday night countdown Kelsey opened up about his family's plans and why they're staying put in the city they've called home for over a decade during ESPN's media day 2024 held on August 28th at ESPN headquarters in Bristol Connecticut Kelsey spoke about his deep connection to Philadelphia where he spent 13 years playing as the center for the Philadelphia Eagles you spend so much time as a player being on the field with the fans Kelsey explained to a room full of press including people I was fortunate to be in Philadelphia for 13 years and it's where my wife and I have chosen to live Kelsey who retired from the NFL earlier this year shares three daughters Wyatt Elliot and Bennett with his wife Kylie the couple who have been married since 2018 even tied the knot in Philadelphia further solidifying their bond with the City we want to keep living in Philadelphia Kelsey emphasized the Kelsey have given fans a glimpse into their home life through social media showcasing their daughter's cozy playroom which they redecorated with help from Pottery Barn Kids the memories we're creating now are things we'll talk about later much like how our parents tell stories about us Kylie shared with people we hope this space allows our girls to grow up as a strong cohesive team even the decor in their home reflects their love for the Eagles with a color palette that nods to the team's iconic green Kylie humorously remarked shockingly enough we big fans of green referring to Jason's former uniform color their garage humorously dubbed the Kelsey landfill also received a makeover thanks to a partnership with The Container Store Kelsey described the transformation to people you would open the door throw something in and close it we couldn't ever find anything but now it's an actual functional space as the 2024 NFL season kicks off Kelsey is returning to the sport but in a new role he's joined ESPN as a pregame analyst for Monday night countdown under a multi-year agreement Kelsey will be featured on the show each week from 6:00 p.m. to 800 p.m eastern time leading up to Monday Night Football throughout the regular season and will also contribute to ESPN's coverage of the super wildcard divisional round playoff games and the Super Bowl one of the most eagerly antici iated games he'll be covering as the Philadelphia Eagles home opener against the Atlanta Falcons on September 16th reflecting on his new role Kelsey shared his excitement about returning to the football scene in a different capacity being at the tailgate in Philadelphia is going to be hard for me I'm looking forward to participating in tailgates for the first time in a long time he said recalling his memorable Antics at a Buffalo Bills game in January 2023 aside from his new ESPN role Kelsey recently Inked a $100 million deal with Amazon for his new heights podcast co-hosted with his brother Travis Kelsey looking ahead to the Eagles home game Kelsey said it's going to be wild it's going to be fun to be back there for week two I'm looking forward to being home Kelsey a passionate Eagles fan himself expressed his excitement not just for the game but also for the pregame festivities it'll be a very fun experience to be out there he said hinting at plans to broadcast Monday night countdown from Xfinity Live a popular venue located in the parking lot of the stadium which is in the parking lot a bold decision ESPN during his media day panel Kelsey joined longtime Alabama head coach turn sportscaster Nick Sabin and host Laura rage for a Q&A session where he discussed his duties as a father to three young daughters I'm dancing with my girls every single day Kelsey shared describing their Lively household whether it's on the TV or just keeping them occupied they're always moving and grooving to something he playfully added Wyatt she'll dance to anything Benny's my favorite one to dance with right now because she's in that toddler stage where she looks like she's just wobbling around not too sure of herself it's a lot of fun for more updates on Jason Kelce and other news sign up for the people newsletter
