but between now and then a civil case has now been filed uh from the family of Jon O'Keefe they've filed a comprehensive wrongful death lawsuit against Karen Reed along with two establishments CF lawsuit alleges that Karen Reed who was in a uh deteriorating relationship with O'Keefe struck and killed him with her SUV after a night of heavy drinking at the defendant of the bars on January 29th of 2022 also alleges that after hitting O'Keefe Reed left him outside in a snowstorm leading to his death from hypothermia and blood force trauma the OE family also accuses Reed of not only causing the death through Reckless Behavior but also attempting as we get crazy with it or interesting covering it up by her actions by fabricating a false narrative the family seeking damages for O'Keefe's wrongful death emotional distress suffered by the family members and punitive damages against both Reed and the establishments involved uh
