*** gorgeous summer weekend here in the
Granite State just before the kids are heading back to school. We're sneaking
in more great weather, more sun, more warm temperatures for late August
standards, mostly sunny today. Lower eighties for many another warm one
tomorrow. Just *** low risk of *** passing thunderstorm in far northern
parts of the state. It's that weak cold front sitting north of the Great Lakes
that may spark that thunderstorm late tomorrow. Otherwise high pressure, the
boss of our weather all weekend long in Concord, mostly sunny skies.
Temperatures running near 80 this afternoon, there may be some hints of
valley fog this morning as especially over western parts of the state. Give
it until about nine o'clock or so and that fog should dissipate great weekend
to be at the beach. Really one of the top beach days all year. If you ask me
south easterly winds today at the coastline, keeping temperatures there
in the seventies. Just *** little bit of *** chop waves, 1 to 3 ft UV index
running at an eight though. So grab the sunscreen. We're gonna have *** lot of
bright skies all day long and high tide. Just after 330 this afternoon, up in
the White Mountains, really an awesome day to be hiking. Clear summit views,
light winds and temperatures quite comfy. Sixties. Once you get above 4000
ft tonight, temperatures back in the fifties to near 60 nice night to open
up the windows and let some fresh air and again, slightly more humid on
Sunday. But still very pleasant temperatures, upper seventies north and
at the coastline, but low in mid eighties. Elsewhere, there again will
be *** slight uptick in humidity levels. And certainly by the start of the work
week, it will be noticeably more humid. Tomorrow morning, we'll see *** mix of
sun and clouds during the afternoon. You see what happens in northern parts
of the state. There may be *** pop up shower or downpour. This is mainly for
areas north of the lakes region and those will fade away as the sun sets.
Few more pop up thunderstorms on the way for Monday as that front draws ***
bit closer. Some storms later Monday afternoon and Monday evening could be
strong with downpours, gusty winds and small hail. Not out of the question as
well. Just *** very low risk of *** spin up on Monday afternoon, Tuesday,
partly sunny and mild with highs around 80 more showers possible in the time
frame of Wednesday, Wednesday night into very early Thursday. Otherwise the
pattern looking pretty pleasant for the final full week of August with
temperatures in the upper seventies and lower eighties.
