all right back from my Hiatus back with the Eagles thoughts of the day right here on lock on Eagles and today's has to do with safety I think in an Ideal World Behind chony gter Johnson at the end of the 2024 season you would want Sydney Brown to be your second best player at safety the guy that is second in snaps at this position behind cgj look Reed blankinship the last two years proved he can be a very reliable player in an awesome story as an undrafted rookie in 2022 last year was really your only reliable safety he earned that contract extension I think he's going to be a big part of this defense for a very long time but there's something about Sydney Brown ceiling with that range speed tackling Power Ball skills I think you want Sydney Brown to be better than Reed blankin have to be featured more in this defense because he has a higher ceiling he's got a lower floor than blankin chip but Sid overall is the guy that you hope would emerge and it's him and cgj with blankinship as the third safety to me that's the ideal scenario for the Eagles defense this year and for the future
