Friday's extended Cleveland weather forecast: Summer returns this weekend to Northeast Ohio

hi everybody and happy Friday to you you made it to the weekend I'm senior meteorologist Matt wiy at Channel 3 I appreciate you taking time out of your day to join us on our YouTube channel let's dive into the forecast big weekend out ahead of us today sunshine beautiful conditions continue we've got some high wispy clouds that's about it we're up near 80° this afternoon tonight Friday night football kicking off maybe you're just heading to dinner out in the town it looks good we'll fall from the 70s back into the 60s during the evening hours and then overnight we're back into the 50s I think we're done with the 40s so we're not quite as cool tonight as we're starting to warm that atmosphere up tomorrow lots of sunshine to Kickstart your weekend we'll be up into the mid 80s for highs just a few high clouds ought to do it as we go throughout the day beautiful Saturday out ahead of us and then by Sunday we're starting to really warm things up so in terms of the weekend 86 for a high Saturday sun with high clouds will reach 88 on Sunday and then we introduce isolated showers and thunderstorms especially during the afternoon as we're building that humidity we're building that heat and we've got a frontal boundary to interact with and we're not done with the heat after that we're up near 90 Monday in Tuesday of next week and that humidity is going to soar in fact we're going to go from very comfortable Saturday morning to humid by Sunday into the tropical category next week it looks to be just an uncomfortable week next week in terms of temperatures especially compared to where we've been this week what a turnaround Long Ranger forecast Keeps Us high and dry until Sunday there's your isolated storm chance just a week front will settle and stall and kind of wash out over Northeast Ohio by Monday still an isolated chance most of the moisture should be off towards the east and then Tuesday and Wednesday that's when we change this pattern up a little bit we'll see daily storm chances as we're kind of in the train track so to speak of where the storms will be going that will last all the way through Saturday next week and in terms of the drought it's pretty bad especially down state most of Northeast Ohio with the latest drought monitor has had Improvement we could still use some rain outside of those areas that saw flooding but tusar Carroll County you get drier as you go from north to south through the county in fact we've got severe droughts other portions of those counties and look down state south of Columbus as you get into the Circleville area Hawking Hills Athens all dealing with either severe or extreme drought down there they could use some serious rainfall and we do have rainfall chances coming our way that's the great news Union Union Home Mortgage 7-day forecast shows the weekend you see the isolated storm chance on Sunday and Monday better storm chances arrive Tuesday and then again on Thursday but the hot and humid air will be here we're up near 90° every day next week we've got your next update on the TV side of things coming your way at 4:00 everybody enjoy your weekend we'll see you then
