[Music] hey how's it going guys welcome back to another broadcast of the weekly with me nef I got some really cool articles today so I'm going to be sharing those with you I'll probably drop two uh weeklys today and then maybe one tomorrow but it just depends and if I get these uh videos up in time but this first article was really cool it's from World of real Ridley Scott claims Gladiator 2 is the best film I've ever made Ridley Scott is going full I Pur with this latest claim and maybe it turns out to be correct who knows I take it all with a major grain of salt but it's quite the statement speaking exclusively to the Empire Scott is telling the magazine that Gladiator 2 is his greatest achievement yes better than Blade Runner and alien this is a quote from Ridley Scott it's the best film I've ever made Scott T's Empire though he does admit he's made several other great ones one of the best things and I've made a few good ones Scott has now fully boarded the Gladiator 2 hype train do you blame him the cost will be over $300 million for this film and a botch trailer launch that was ridiculed for its usage of a rap song they should release a new trailer to clean the stench of that one let's see there's a little more here it's not like those who've seen Gladiator 2 have been saying negative things about it deadline was told that it's fantastic and Oscar worthy it test screened very well in April and Buzz has spread throughout the industry about Scott potentially having a major Awards player here so that's basically the gist of this um article right here you know I am going to see Gladiator to in theater I uh made my choice on that one and actually I uh I heard about the film coming out obviously this year but I wasn't super interested in it and then when I actually saw the trailer it made me more interested in going to see the film so yes I'm going to be seeing Gladiator 2 in theater that's going to be coming out Thanksgiving weekend I believe rley Scott says this his best work do I think it's probably going to be his best work probably not but I do think it is going to be a spectacle you know when it comes to Ridley Scott The visuals are always on point the guy knows how to tell a story through the way he shoots um so I think the film based off that is going to be awesome I actually like the trailer I actually feel like the song that was used match the theme of the um the the movie I don't believe that song's actually going to be within the movie so I think people were kind of uh you know overexaggerating about that song being in the trailer and I think people were just crying about nothing as usual uh but overall I thought the Gladiator trailer 2 was actually really cool I actually reported on the Gladiator 2 trailer I believe it was like a couple months ago when it actually released and I put the link down in the description for that but I will put the link down in the description for it as well with this weekly that I'm going to be dropping for you guys what do you guys think about this have you guys seen The Gladiator 2 trailer are you guys hyped for Gladiator 2 do you know anything about Gladiator 2 have you seen the first Gladiator I'm really interested to see what you guys think about it I wonder if they do put out another trailer the movie does come out in about two months I wouldn't be surprised to see another trailer for this film although the first trailer did give a lot away it wasn't too much but it was a bit much you know Gladiator you pretty much know what you're getting even though this uh sequel is about 20 to 23 years out from the original release with Russell Crow starring um you know the the trailer was still giving up a lot of information so I don't know if I'm going to watch the second trailer if they decide to release a second trailer for it I think I'm I'm cool with the first one it was sufficient it told me everything I needed to know I like the visuals I like the people that are actually in the roles within this film I had no gripes with that at all and I think this film is going to do uh well from a a standpoint of quality I don't think this film is actually going to make its money back because the $300 million budget is a little too bloated remember I've told you about this guys $300 million budgets it's no bueno in this economy right now and on top of that this is coming out on Thanksgiving weekend A lot of people are not going to really be concerned with going to the movies on Thanksgiving weekend they're going to be concerned with being with their families and most people are going to be traveling so I think the release date window is not good for this film I think the budget is uh bloated but I think as far as quality I think the quality of the film is going to be good and we have seen this before we've seen films that are quality not perform well it could be for a multitude of reasons I think this will be one that you don't see a lot of money made on it but I think it will be seen as a quality film I'm actually happy to see that Ridley Scott is uh enthused about it obviously he should be he's directing the film so that's what you'd want to hear from your director you wouldn't want to hear anything negative like I said as far as he's saying it's his best film film you know rley Scott can say that he's made the film So based off his opinion he can judge what he thinks is his best and what he doesn't think is his best and then you know for us the people that are going to be watching the movie and the critics we can watch the movie and then we can judge for ourselves what we think about Gladiator 2 but that's really all I got for this specific uh broadcast guys let me know what you think about Gladiator 2 let me know if
