all right here's your Birdland minute for July 6 2024 Orioles lose 19-8 against one of the worst teams in baseball the Oakland Athletics pretty shocking game here kind of an embarrassing performance But ultimately comes down to K poic the second he got out on the mound he was really uncomfortable just did not have it he couldn't throw a strike over the first two hitters was looking down at the mound like something was wrong and then he gives up at a three-run homer immediately to Brent Rooker everything he threw was either a ball or it was getting absolutely demolished by Oakland hitter um I'm willing to give him a pass on one bad start but um obviously one more like this and he's going to have to go back down to Triple A we're running out of options at this point maybe it's Tucker Davidson maybe it's Chase McDermot but um you know the second you think the starting rotation is in good shape you know not so fast um Dyan Tate and Cole Irvin also got shelled so the bullpen is in questionable shape but um you know hopefully this is just a bad game we'll go on to the next one offense did score eight runs but um yeah we'll see what happens on Sunday hopefully the birds can take the series
