[Music] so my guest today is Jennifer Youngblood and Jennifer is a USA Today bestselling author of over 80 clean romance sweet romance romantic comedy and romantic suspense novels what are some of the challenges that you might have encountered when you finally stepped into it how did you overcome those the biggest challenge for me was trying to figure out the business aspect of it I had to learn really that there there is a difference in writing commercially versus just writing what you want to write and I do write what I love but I do approach it more of okay let's make sure there's an audience for this instead of spending all this time writing this book and then saying oh now let me find my audience which is the natural tendency is and that's what I did too so I I get it I understand but but I guess that's one way that I do uh look at it differently now so this this is your career it's not some hobby on the side or something I mean so you have to look at the market and study it and see what that's selling
