small change to the practice squad Brad bigs reports the Bears have added four players to the practice squad we already knew a couple of these Scott Daly or di Sam Roberts sore T and the new one Chris Glazer offensive lineman Center guard uh from the Jets released from the practice squad were safety quindell Johnson who we claimed off waivers last year and defensive tackle undrafted free agent deshun mallerie Kevin fishbane reports the same thing how that changes it now it's down to the 16-man practice squad we've got the same guys except the bottom there you've got Chris Glazer H and we still have the rest of everybody else that we already had on there minus quindell Johnson and minus um Deshawn malry had to go back and get his name sorry about that there will be additional changes that come this has never set last year this changed several times uh so I'm waiting to put out my salary cap video Until the Bears make their final changes they could still make a trade there still could be things that happen within the next week so I'm waiting on that right now the Bears have roughly $1 million in cap space that should go up a little bit after some of the releases after injury reserve release as well so that should go up a little bit we'll see if the Bears make any moves but here's a little look at Chris Glazer uh really a developmental player after the Bears did so well with Doug Kramer over the last three years this is just a player that's done really well on the pass block so if you look there at the top this is this pre-season two pressures on 64 total pass blocks and in all three preseason since he's been in the league he hasn't allowed a sack in the preseason again I'm going to preface that in the preseason so we can only go so much off the preseason uh but his run blocking needs a little work good sized good boded 6'4 306 with some Center experience so I think it's a solid pickup to be able to continue to build the depth it's not someone you're going to see elevated to the 53 man roster anytime this year it's someone the Bears want to continue to work with see if they can develop him see if they can get something out of him as we continue to build on this offensive line make it look stronger and stronger so not a needle mover move but it is a change to the practice squad so we'll report it here and then we'll show you what the practice squad looks like and the Bears are getting ready for the season 10 days away we're getting close closer every day short video just to give you that update until next time Bear Down du bears
