Intro [Music] thank you hey guys welcome back to flicks2s thank you so much for joining us my name is Nick this is my mom Jen hi guys and today we will be watching Jerry Maguire so this is a patron request from Red Dwarf thank you very much thank you and uh yeah it's funny we actually own the DVD for this but neither of us have seen it oh that's weird no I've never seen it but you must have bought it years ago yeah we used to we'd stop in at like Walmart or the clearance bin or something and grab movies yeah over the years yeah so this is Tom Cruise I think the Box said it's like 1996 this came out I think Renee Zellweger might be yeah 1986 96 oh 96. wow yeah um the only thing I really know about it is you know show me the money I've heard yeah I've heard that one I think like Dr Evo made like a couple of references because I just remember like Seth Green but like you know uh yeah ass you know Jerry McGraw will come up for another 30 years or something like talk to the hands they still want to hear you no more okay or something like that I just know like those couple jokes but I don't know like what it's about I want to say maybe comedy just from the quotes I've heard but yeah I don't know I don't really know yeah that's good brand new adventure yeah yeah we're watching on DVD and on prominently displayed is a widescreen feature back in the days when you can choose widescreen or full or just and you should mention about the subtitles right yeah for some ungodly reason on this disc the only subtitles are Spanish I'd love to speak Spanish I would yeah I might know like the odd word or two just I've studied Latin so I I'm familiar enough with that but yeah but uh yeah it should be a brand new adventure I always love a good Tom Cruise film and uh yeah let's let's check it out so this is the world and there are almost six billion people on it now closer to 8 10. out as one page became 25. oh she yeah that describes most of my writing what's that I have a plan and it ends up being like 10 times as long yeah the key to this business is personal relationships suddenly it was all the answer was fewer clients less money probably not going to be very happy with less money less clients right yep makes the world go around I entitled it the things we the days when you had to go to a like a store to get stuff printed yeah oh God he's changed his mind things that you think of in the middle of the night I don't know there they are okay oh is that Renee kind of ponder what he feels exactly why he feels it yeah like he just can't be alone so he just makes the best of it whatever he's in yeah he fell for him how could you not exactly that kid could Regina King did fantastic she's great like that just that her one performance great chemistry those two they they really did yeah they were such a cute couple yeah and I like her that scene with her on the phone like that just you know broke me I think the most yeah just sitting here just not knowing what was going on and yeah my family's everything and he's it's nothing without him here so yeah yeah and then just you know Renee Zellweger Tom Cruise they did very good I mean I mean like you know Tom Cruise he is like the best personification I feel for like the duality of man on the one hand he is insane but on the other hand he's one of the best and most dedicated performers in all of Hollywood like it like the thing I appreciate most about him is just his dedication to the craft because I get back like a year or two ago I think it was for mission mission impossible or something else but there was a leaked kind of like audio recording of him like uh yes crew members they weren't abiding by the rules or whatever he was like laying into them saying look people are counting on us we are setting an example yeah without us you know people don't have jobs you know we need to do the best we can yeah and just put stuff like Mission Impossible and whatnot with like his you know like he basically has to like have his own insurance company to ensure himself for the crazy stunts that he does no nothing in here right because it was no but just like very safe physical world but like his like pure just like professionalism and dedication leaves me in awe all the time and yet he can still be insane in terms of his personal life but like as an actor like if he really gave up he gave it his all in this performance like it was just so physical yeah like he was very just and every dialogue he was just giving all he had yeah it was really good that way it was very good yeah really good and oh my God that kid was so cute oh God Jonathan Lipnicki oh we looked it up he was in Stuart Little yes but like he he was just so adorable and he was such a special actor such a good actor just that moment when he's like just go like it was all kind of like just the like that was like heartbreaking because being the child of a single parent it must be it's awful right I should say it's awful but yeah to have you know your your mother or your father if you're on the other side date somebody and then they're out of your life right away so usually I've heard that they kind of wait a while to bring somebody in which is yeah that's just for the sake of the child sure right it's hard for them especially one so young here because just you know stuff like this will be like you know he's old enough that he'll remember all of this and it'll be the like core memories like for his entire life he'll remember this stuff and just like like moving on its own is a very rough thing into a new city and whatnot make new friends and all that and it's never so easy but but no he was really adorable there's like a lot a lot of good you know performances in this movie and then like I just was not expecting to try show me the money scene just as like a top ten whatever yeah what not but just like let's say like funny or just like interesting or whatever just it was his last hope basically right yeah put all into the yeah no no I like their sort of whole relationship and whatnot and yeah yeah but but yeah that was Jerry Maguire folks that was a lot that was good it's better than I was expecting you know uh but not it was a lot of great performances really good so thanks once
