An impressive tornado surprises drivers crossing a bridge in Lisbon, Portugal

A tornado formed this Thursday in the Tagus  estuary, next to the Lisbon metropolitan area,   causing several trees to fall and partially  damaging some homes and businesses,   according to the Portuguese emergency  services, which have no record of victims. The spokesman for the Portuguese Emergency  and Civil Protection Authority Pedro Araújo   explained that the tornado It started in  the early afternoon near the Vasco da Gama   bridge and that, for about 30 minutes,  it was felt on both banks of the Tagus,   although it mainly affected the  side furthest from the capital. The commander specified that this  atmospheric phenomenon left in its   wake some fallen trees and communication  poles, which affected homes and businesses   and that some buildings were forced to  evacuatebut without causing victims. The tornado was captured by several citizens,   who recorded it and shared  the images on social networks.
