All right. Here at meteorologist Karl Roberts, we're talking about the weather. It's Labor Day weekend. Gosh, there's so many lucky people out there that have tomorrow off you can just enjoy today. It's, it's a nice day. Yeah, it won't be too bad. I mean, you know, it could be way hotter for this time of the year. Uh, you know, today is officially the, uh, start of meter logical fall because remember we do, uh, you know, the months of June, July and August are meteorological summer, uh, September, November, October are all meteorological fall. So, you know, the astronomers, they think summer starts or, uh, fall, fall starts, the summer ends about three weeks from now. But we consider it today. Yeah. And to be honest, the reason why we do that is, it's just easier to calculate averages and, and it actually does kind of line up with the, the, uh, the actual temperatures and the seasons and things like that because, you know, I mean, if you, uh, consider December, you know, fall ends, was it like December 21st or something like that? And, and winter begins, uh, December 21st. And, yeah, I mean, the early part of December, I mean, come on, that's definitely winter. And so it's anyway, not gonna get too technical on you, but just know today is the start of meteorological fall may not necessarily feel fall like today, but actually have maybe some fall like weather at least more so than anything we've seen recently on that 14 day. We'll talk about that in a 2nd 76 on the campus of UN T and Denton. A little cloud cover over Dallas Baptist University where it's 78 rain not falling there. Only rain that's falling in North Texas is, these showers have kind of bubbled up across Southwester, North Texas. Those are drifting off to the south at the moment. So nothing pending for DFW right now. But as we hit the heat of the day, more of that activity will bubble up. There's what the radar could look like at noon. There's what things look like around three o'clock, higher coverage potentially across western North Texas, kind of like we saw yesterday. But I think there's a little bit better chance that a passing shower storm in and around DFW today compared to what we saw yesterday. But like we saw yesterday with pretty much anywhere in North Texas. It's just a passing shower storm rains for 1015 minutes, maybe a little longer than that if you're lucky and then things move on. So I would continue to encourage you not to cancel any outdoor plans today, but just have an indoor backup plan just in case you need to put that in practice. One of those showers or storms bubbles up overhead. It's not a severe weather today. It's just a chance for any thunderstorms will have some heavy rain and lightning, maybe some gusty winds. But the overall severe weather threat is very low. There's what I was talking about. A little higher coverage across western areas. DFW. Uh, coverage. It's about 40%. That was actually the wrong graphic. That was for yesterday. Don't tell anybody, but it's basically the same for today. If I put in a, I made a mistake and just put in yesterday's graphic instead of today's anyway, what I know is correct is the forecast for tomorrow. I believe on my graphics coming up here in a second, a little rain activity may be around in the morning tomorrow across western North Texas and look tomorrow how it's a little bit more steady and widespread rain across western southwester, North Texas compared to the rest of the area. DFW still has a chance at a passing shower storm, but rain may be a little more constant across Southwester and Western areas. So there you go. It's a higher coverage. Maybe a little steadier rain during the day. That's where I'm concerned with. Maybe your outdoor plans, having some problems tomorrow. Most likely that your outdoor plans get wet, still possible for the DFW area. Pretty unlikely. For eastern and northeastern North Texas tomorrow when it's all said and done. We're hoping for about a half an inch to an inch across the area and some higher, higher totals to the west where that rain might be a little steadier, not only, uh, tomorrow but in a Tuesday as well. That cloud cover helped keep the temps down. Eighties. Monday, Tuesday, Wednesday, Thursday, eighties next weekend too. And we actually kind of get a reinforcing shot of cooler air and look at those morning lows. So mornings in the sixties, Sunday, Monday, Tuesday of next week, it's been a while since we've seen that and that is definitely more fall like than anything that we've seen recently.
