hey guys welcome back to Dish Nation I am here in Sydney Australia getting ready to speak with White Lotus star Jennifer Coolidge but first let's check out a little bit of what I've been doing here in New South Wales [Music] can we first talk about where we are right now because this does not look like downtown Burbank no yeah no it doesn't and it does like whenever I'm looking at it I always feel like there's like if I walk up close it's just a screen right one of those beautiful those screens that looks like you're you know you're in front of some place that isn't it's just it is real yeah I just like that it's real and um it is this good it's this it's this good you guys um I went out last night and I there's an unreasonably level of Attractive people in this country this the other day I everyone I meet in Australia is like out of a movie their personalities are big and animated and bigger than life and maybe that's why their films are so good and obviously White Lotus let's kind of talk about the success of the show but why Jennifer why why do you think it has struck that chord I think there's been a show like White Lotus is it very uh unique Mike White is one of those guys that can remember great dialogue that he's heard at fancy parties and stuff and put it into a script [Music] that's what I'm talking about Jennifer you've been in this business now you're having this amazing windfall your career is on fire there's a lot of kids out there that want to do what you do but you know it's a struggle it's it's it's it's it's a race but kind of talk to me about advice you'd give to people out there 17 years of my life I was working in restaurants and um I was always waiting to be discovered in these restaurants like I was sort of I sort of thought like my dream was to be an actress but that someone would you know someone would that I was waiting on would say oh I'm making a movie or something like that I feel like now the world is is I think girls are girls everyone is more Savvy and I think the whole key to getting a career is it never occurred to me to like create my own thing it never occurred to me instead of sitting around waiting for someone to like you know offer me something I could have created something you don't have to have hoods but if you create your own thing I think it's like that sort of waiting you know letting everyone else decide what's going to happen to you is the wrong way to go I think you you decide what happens to you that's what I think yeah well that's a wrap here from Gorgeous Sydney and New South Wales I'm gonna try to not fall off this boat
