hey everyone the Leafs have officially signed Yanni Haw andpa to a one-year contract Max petetti PTO Steven Len PTO a lot of Leafs news coming out we're expecting a trade or two coming up so we're 1.47 I don't mind it I mean even if the guy's not healthy LTR there's been a lot of conversation around his knee injury but the guy 67 an absolute beast on the penalty kill two things the Leafs need size thank you Trey living penalty kill abilities thank you Tre living now you have four guys dedicated to the Penalty kill and there's no conversation about it right if Simone benw is in the lineup your four penalty killers are Chris tanv Jake mcabe Simone benoa Yanni haena have a great time right you can have your top penalty kill be mcabe TANF and then hawen paaw is a great penalty killer it's not going to be a bad thing if hawen Paw's going in as the third penalty killer on defense so that's the strength you get here with hawen paaw again he's 67 absolute Beast and the thing that's so valuable now with the Lea defense group is no one and correct me if I'm wrong but I don't think there's one guy below 61 on this defense group for the Leafs I believe Riley's 6 foot 61 around there tanv 61 62 mcab 63 pushing oel 61 62 benoa around there 63 hakaw 67 like all these guys L grin 61 even though L grin's not physical I mean Conor Timmons I think he's like 6'2 6'3 so you see a trend here thank you living there's a couple mobile guys in there but there's the size as well playoff Style hockey big defense groups win we know all these things so that's huge right uh but Kevin also tweeting about Haw and Paul patch ready Matt Murray Nick Robertson Conor Timmons Joseph W Chris tan of all injury-prone guys based on recent memories so the Leafs medical staff we know they're going to have to be on their game uh specifically with a couple guys because of age whether it's hawen paa or patch ready but obviously we're hoping for the best and T of too we're hoping for the best for guys like Joseph W and Nick Robertson to have big bounceback years in terms of health and in terms of performance we'll see what happens with Nick Robertson maybe you're watching this video and he's not even aaf anymore we'll see what happens but looking at this defense group is kind of what I have right now shout out to Corey Riley TANF benoa mcabe oel Haw and paaw L grin Lil grin hawen paaw I think it's in and out for me maybe you give lren an opportunity in the top uh top four with McCabe they've had some success in the past so I wouldn't mind Riley tanv mcabe lren oel Haw andpa and Beno is the seventh some nights so I think you could do a cycle of Beno hawen paaul and lrin but the four guys that probably should be in the lineup every night Riley Tanana McCabe oel I think oel needs to be sheltered so you put him on the third pair I've been pretty like adamant on that because I I don't want oel to be kingberg 2.0 but oel just won a cup I think he's clearly more healthy than kingberg ever was there with the leaf so I don't want to compare that ever but oel there's going to be some defensive things that really frustrate me probably but if he's on the third pair second power play unit I'm more likely fine with oel if he's in a more isolated role and hopefully barui and the coaching staff can realize oil's strengths his weaknesses and put him in a position to succeed I feel they're going to do that so the big conversation I always have and I keep beating this drum is the Leaf's Trading and the Le trading with the Anaheim Ducks I mean the hot take would be going out to get Frank vatrano but that could be like a big Blockbuster move where and I'll pull this up is where maybe lilligren and Robertson are going to Anaheim maybe yarn Crow's going to Anaheim maybe you bring back vatrano or you do a smaller trade like this that someone put online and a lot of people have put different scenarios whether it's David David Camp going to Anaheim or C yarro going to Anaheim Nick Robertson maybe going to Anaheim like Anaheim and Toronto have made trades in the past it makes so much sense right now for them to make a trade Anaheim has so much cap space they're just above the cap floor it makes a lot of sense for Anaheim and Toronto to make a trade Toronto sends one of the contracts to Anaheim whether it's Camp yro I'm sure those guys wouldn't mind playing in California and then maybe Nick Robertson is part of it because there's still conversations Frank selli put it out there that he still see sees it as more likely than not that Robertson gets moved even with him signing that one-year deal so keep an eye on Anaheim Toronto guys I could see I I've literally said this so many times I sound like a broken Rec record don't be surprised Toronto California teams will see Anaheim specifically but yeah I mean hawen paw this he already signed so ignore this but it was 1.47 for one year so ignore that but lorence patch ready I think lorrence could be a minimum type deal if he signed after his PTO and then the depth could look something like this so McMahon could be on the fourth line you'd have amazing depth but something like this I could see Pat ready up there see if Robertson takes advantage of an opportunity there's so many conversations the other couple teams I mean Pittsburgh Timmons Robertson I'm sure dubis is going to call Trey living if they're willing to be civil and then Camp return to Chicago could also make some sense so keep an eye on maybe Chicago getting involved as they've been bringing in veterans and uh they've brought in a couple former Leafs in Brody and bruzi so I'm sure those guys could vouch for anyone acquired from Toronto so let me know you guys thoughts I mean this is crazy stuff happening here right before
