Afternoon or evening rather. It is five o'clock. I'm Faith Jesse and it's a Labor Day holiday weekend. Yeah. And I'm Jennifer Belly tonight. Our weather impact team is keeping a close watch on your forecast as we head into that busy Labor Day weekend. So, here's a live look from Sandy Springs where we have seen rain over I 285 in Georgia, 400 in the last 30 minutes or so. Meteorologist, Melissa. No, joining us with your 11 live weather impact forecast. So, Melissa, what are you seeing out there right now? We saw the rain there. But what I'm most concerned about right now is our brand new severe thunderstorm warning and this is for Bartow and also Gordon counties until 530. The type of thunderstorms we're dealing with are called pulse thunderstorms. They fire up, they grow really quickly and then as they collapse, they put down damaging winds and even some hail. That's what we saw last night. And that's what I'm concerned about with this particular storm as well. So you see the increase incredible amounts of lightning in the last 15 minutes there between Adairsville and Calhoun right along 75. So that's right along the county line and it's gonna be drifting westward. So this warning goes until 530 avoid driving on 75 and driving on the roads as the storm is coming down, as it collapses. I expect damaging winds and that possibility of hail, but it's eventually gonna start drifting to the west. So eventually moving in towards Plainville, Floyd Springs as well in the next 20 minutes further down, 75 will travel into Bartow and also Cobb and Cherokee County. You see more heavy rain, a lot of that cloud around lightning in Western Woodstock and down into East Cobb as well. Here in the metro, we've also got some more scattered downpours. None of these storms have shown an increase in the lightning count. So that's favorable for us to not see the lightning count going up, but still some locally heavy rain, some lightning and even gusty winds possible. Another thunderstorm just developing there in central Clayton County. That one right between Irondale and the airport and that's gonna move right over the 675 and 75 split. So again, a lot of us are getting rain, not everybody seeing the rain but where it does rain, that rain is heavy. Now for the rest of the evening, ok, we're going to see through sunset, more of the scattered thunderstorms that will impact some of the starts of those high school football games, the start of your holiday weekend. We're going to calm down tonight, but then we do it all over again tomorrow. We'll talk about what that means for your outdoor plans coming up.
