this video is brought to you by bet us Sportsbook and casino welcome to boss cball Sports and what if I told you that Carson was literally this close to being considered the next theun Bland uh so before I get into this content this video is brought to you about bet us 125% bonus on your first year deposits up to 2,000 take advantage of your knowledge and all the time you spend learning about football can work for you now I know that seemed far fetch on what I just said that he literally was this close very close to um being considered in one game the next the Run Bland because Bland was considered you know obviously lightning that struck twice why do you say lightning that struck twice because a playmaking ball Hawking uh Corner don't Corners don't come around often that's like striking lightning you had one get 11 another get 11 in the same amount of uh games that's lightning striking but could it had struck three times uh starting with game one versus the Browns yeah I said definitely was on his way so let me just show you um now one thing looking at Carson that you will see is Carson does not read three-step well yet so one thing that you'll see is his eyes is looking dead at Amari coopa so whenever you trying to do what's called reading three step where you're reading a quarterback's dropback to get a indic indication of what route is likely coming you have to have your eyes peeking inside for just a half a second to read his drop so he can't be is drop cuz you can clearly see that his eyes is on a mar all right so the first thing I'm going to do is I want you to look at Carson then I'm going take look at the quarterback so I'm going to run this back twice so you can see it so look at Carson keep your eyes focused on Caron and what he does there is called a read step so he takes one slow step back first not a quick backpedal a slow backpedal so that he can be in control of his break so he break breaks up the ball good play but he was actually this close from making a great play not just a good play a great play so now look at the quarterback so we you got to train your eyes to do this so you just looked at Carson now stop and keep your eyes on Watson okay and what you're going to see him do is he's going to do what's called a three-step drop where he's going to get the ball at shotgun and he's going to face the weapon orari because when it when it's a three-step drop you know it's getting ready to be a slant a Stop Route something short so that mean you can actually break on it early okay so now look at Watson and you'll see how a quarterback's feet could also be an indication of what's like getting ready to happen with the route so look at the shun he's going to take uh the ball on the shotgun he drops back he throws the ball you have to know how to read that as a cornerback if you go go from making good plays to Great play so let me give you a perfect example so looking at digs this is an example of Diggs reading three step so the first thing I want you to notice is that Diggs is actually breaking before the receiver see notice he broke before the receiver you can do that when you read the quarterback's drop which is why you'll see dig make the play where he's breaking on the ball before the receiver came out his break and before the quarterback released the ball which ended up being an interception a good play to a great play this is a perfect example so let's play the same game we just played keep your eyes on digs watch him he's already breaking before D Smith even starting his break well how did you do that how did you do that that's the difference between a great play and a good play if you look he broke on it before D Smith came out his break because he read the quarterback that was the key to him being able to make this play so now we just played the game where you're looking at Diggs and again he broke on D Smith before he came out his break how did he know he read the drop of Herz so now look at Herz look at Herz and then you can see how Elite Corners are able to make big plays on the ball so right here you see Reed Herz drop he's breaking and that's how he took this to the house so when I tell you just on very little things Carson was this close to becoming the next to run Bland and Trayvon digs literally this close it's it's the small details that can really be the difference between a great play or a good play so then we go see it again right we go see it again go look at look at Carson's eyes you can tell by his helmet he's locked in on Amari not peeking in at the quarterback you have to peek in to read the drop so once you so look at so Carson again does a good job of not panicking no he takes another read step he harl it backs up so he's able to break on the ball that close that close broke on the ball that should have been an interception for a touchdown that's how so you looked at Carson now look at DES Shawn Watson and you'll be able to read the three step so if you read the Shawn Watson's drop just look at Watson don't look at Carson train your eyes I'm teaching y'all how to look at this from a quarterback's perspective so imagine that you playing the left corner you peeking in at the quarterback and when the ball is hiked you see this drop you see this exact drop that right there tells you to break on it when you see that drop that tells you that it's it's likely getting ready to be a stop route or a slant it's going to be something short so you can go ahead and anticipate it and break on it early which is similar to what trayon Diggs did that's exactly what Trayvon Diggs did so Carson could have done the exact same thing and it would have been an interception so we are already looking at being this close to two interceptions likely big game changing plays So when you say he could have been in a conversation of the Run Bland and Trayvon Diggs I'm not making it up I'm telling the truth I played the position and I know the position well so this is he's in cover to and you can tell he's in cover two because what he's doing is he's splitting that what he's doing is he's it's called splitting the threats so he has the flats so which is everything 10 yards and out and what he's supposed to do is he's supposed to split the threats and break on the ball when people are flooding his Zone that's how you play the cover two so you see he's in cover two so he sits there and he sinks in between two Defenders and all you had to do right there is catch the ball again this close so you know this is one of those film sessions that you can gain a lot out of it where you can learn you know what makes some of these Corners make these type of plays where that it looks easy but it's really not easy uh it takes a lot of trust in your coaching and your Technique so when you um trust your coaching cuz I learned this from multiple coach I had two coaches that taught me this and when I learn this I begin to have all kind of interceptions that I've never had and most of it was because I was reading a quarterback or I would be watching film and I would say this quarterback when he does his three-step drop he's throwing it so when you know a quarterback is like that you can break on it early and you will break on it before the receiver comes out his break so Carson is close he's very close that's a very good sign to see good plays already in his debut game if he can make smile I mean literally very small coaching Corrections his good plays can literally become great fantastic amazing plays like we've become accustomed to seeing at the other two our Pro Corners we literally have a chance at having lightning strike three times it's your boy boss cowbo Sports and this video is brought to you by B us where
