Intro WWE bash in Berlin takes place on Saturday in Germany there are five matches currently announced for the card and as you know uh that's kind of been the theme for WWE ples over the past little bit you may have a couple shows here there that Eclipse that number but five here and Triple H seems to like it that way to keep these nice and tight in terms of the match count doesn't necessarily mean it's going to be a short show but I think you've got a mixture here um of matches that seem pretty obvious in terms of who's going to win it's about the story involved in them and you've also got a couple matches that I think you could certainly make an argument either way for and I don't know if that was necessarily the case at SummerSlam where we felt pretty confident uh in the storyline direction for a lot of things in SummerSlam but here I think there's a couple uh matches here that could sort of you know Veer off into a different course let's start Bianca Belair & Jade Cargill vs. Alba Fyre & Isla Dawn - Women's Tag Titles with the first one which I think is probably one of the more unpredictable ones for me on the card maybe the most unpredictable match on the card and that is Alba fire and da defending the women's Tag Team Championships against Bianca Belair and Jade cargle as we know this is one that has felt like a rematch that's been in the works for a while now we knew I think eventually we would get to this match and it was just a matter when were they going to do it you always felt like that you know Jade and Bianca were going to get their rematch and have another shot at the titles and now they've gotten that um and meanwhile the Champions as they pointed out on this week's edition of raw have sort of you know think in their mind's been the afterthought and I think a lot of people may agree with that uh in terms of kind of building to this and and what actually is the story here and I think that's where this is interesting because I have no idea which way they're going to go here because I really don't have a great grasp on what the plan is at least in the short term for Bianca ba and Jade cargo we know what the long-term plan is at some point they have to break up and they have to have the singles match but that's not going to happen anytime soon because if you are doing that singles match as we've talked about before that's going to come at a WrestleMania SummerSlam level event versus probably you know anything that's going to happen maybe within the next four or five months in WWE so sure that is something that is on the cards for the future but I don't know how that necessarily plays into this match there are a couple different options here if you want to make a prediction and that is do Bianca and Jade lose this match that sort of adds in a little bit of that tension that we have not really seen um you know to a substantial level so far that is one way you could go here you could somehow have them lose the match and one partner has a reason to blame the other partner uh those kind of things which I know is kind of a common Trope in professional wrestling but it is one way you could go about it where this is their big rematch this is their chance to get the title back and yet one of the two Bianca or Jade um does something that maybe just you know gives Alba fire and Ison that momentary advantage that allows them to regain the Championships and then that is where you would have the other partner be able to use that as fuel for a turn in the future that's one way you could go the other way you could go is just to have them win the Championships back right and then once you put the titles back on them then you can start to maybe build that tension a little bit further down the road whether that's two months from now four months from now whatever if that is what they want to do if that is a match that they have circled for Wrestlemania 41 um maybe may not maybe longer until we get that match but if it is then I think at least right now it probably serves them better to have the Championships back on them because you can also then do what you can take GI you can take Jaden banca and you can put them on Raw you can put them on Smackdown they can move around and I think having that star power is a nice thing especially remember we have two big sort of you know events coming up for WWE where smackdown's moving to USA and you also have raw eventually going to Netflix in January so does it serve them better to have the titles back on them for now perhaps and so I don't have again this is probably a match that I could flip a coin and feel like you know there are a lot of different options you could have the outside interference from Blair Davenport Naomi you know it's kind of the six woman stuff that you can certainly you know G get that into this match but I I am going to take a chance and pick Bianca and Jay to regain the titles here because I just don't think we're I don't think we're there yet in terms of being able to actually push that heel turn for one or the other in motion and so for now I think there's more value in having them regain these championships you see what they're at least trying to do in rebuilding the rest of the tag team division on the women's side they can you know Feud with the pure Fusion Collective on Raw there's you know damage control there's different options there that I think would probably feel more fresh than what we've had over the past several months um and I it's also a question of you know what does WWE want to do with with Alba fire and isodon moving forward because I don't think they're wrong in terms of they're the Champions but they have at times been sort of the afterthought uh because I think everyone's just been waiting for Jaden Bianca to get the rematch and get the titles back on them I'm going to predict that that happens here but don't have a great feel uh for this match because I could easily see the Champions retaining and maybe they're retaining because you start to set that tension and motion between jade and Bianca even if it's a little slight thing um maybe this is where it all begins so there you go I'll go with the the former Champions to retain here but don't have a great feel on this match another match that I Damian Priest & Rhea Ripley vs. Dominik Mysterio & Liv Morgan really have a great feel on either uh and I think this is another one where it really depends on what WWE wants to achieve here is the mixed tag team match where you have the terror twins Damen priest and R Ripley taking on Dominic Mysterio and Liv Morgan uh the world's greatest professional wrestling couple in their minds and you know I I said sort of similar to the first match where it's really a matter of what does we want to achieve here right um You can list all the reasons why each side should win and if we do that I think on the Terr Twin Side it's pretty simple uh they were the ones who you know kind of got kicked down to the ground at SummerSlam right they were the ones who were the victims of just being turned on by their former friends and that now put them in a position where they are trying to get their Revenge right they're trying to get their payback on uh the entire Judgment Day and specifically you know Dominic and live for what they've done to Mommy so that's an argument for priest and Ripley to win this match because you can at least say all right they at least get a little bit um you know of Revenge on the heels and now that sets in motion the idea that you're going to have those big singles matches at bad blood which right now if I had to you know do a stone cold lead pipe lock on two matches for bad blood I think Damen priest versus Finn Balor Ria Ripley versus Li Morgan I think are 100% going to be on the card um and so if we look at it from that standpoint you get the win here that sets up those matches maybe it's where Ria pins live in this scenario to give her that opportunity for the rematch um I I think that's one I like more but I will also say that I completely understand why and I've said this really I want to say I probably said it two weeks ago when they announced the match you can understand why Judgment day maybe needs this match a little bit more because you know you're thinking all right you have to establish this new group uh which you know does involve Dominic and Liv as two of the main players of this faction and if you take the numbers advantage and all that right you can certainly have Finn Balor interfere you can have JD mcdunn interfere you can have Caro interfere uh and that's what Judgment Day Has going for it is that it does have the numbers over these two um but I just think I like the scenario better even though you're trying to establish the Judgment Day um you know as as a big threat without Daman priest and RI Ripley I just think this is one where either Liv or Dominic can take the pin um and that sort of you know pushes you towards those one-on-one matches at Bad Blood uh but you can do it the other way too right you can have Balor interfer and you still get to those one-on-one matches because then priest and Ria you know just completely lose their minds and they want those matches and and we get to it at that point uh but I I I think I'm going to pick priest and Ria to win the match here because I think either Ria pinning live or priest pinning Dominic I just don't think it hurts either one of them uh if they were to lose the match here um and you know you could have the botched interference from Judgment Day and maybe that's where Balor then escalates his frustration and challenges priest to match at Bad Blood Ria perhaps pins live to set up that match at bad blood so I just think you can you can work that in a little bit better um even though again I completely understand the argument for why Judgment Day needs this more than priest and Ria but they were the ones who were kind of again kicked down a bit at SummerSlam uh traditional wrestling history would probably tell you this is where they get a little bit uh of their their payback you kind of feel like it's square at one to one here just like another match we're going to talk about shortly and then we set up the big sort of blowoff one-on-one matches at bad blood so um yeah these two F these two matches here again I I don't feel confident that I'm going to get um either of these right I just I just think these are these are pretty hard to predict all right I mentioned one to one and we know with CM Punk vs. Drew McIntyre - Strap Match this one that would be the case if CM Punk were to beat Drew McIntyre it's the strap match uh and you know as we said this was necessary because they needed to escalate the violence in this Feud uh because it was not violent enough for most people at SummerSlam because you did have the addition of Seth Rollins as the special guest referee and now I think this is going to be the match that probably most people were thinking they were going to get going into SummerSlam until they did add the wrinkle in with Rollins as the referee uh but now here I mean you are probably going to have these two just beat each other you know unmercifully in this scenario um and you know again I think that's what this needs um it needs to be something where this is still such a personal Feud I wouldn't disagree with some people who say this has kind of lost a bit of it heat since SummerSlam and I think there's probably multiple reasons for that just because you know once you actually get that highly anticipated one-on-one match everything after it is going to feel like a little bit of a step backwards in terms of the the heat level but you know it is something too where where you you get the argument um as to why people didn't think that was exactly the match they were expecting from these two given just how heated this Feud had gotten over the past what half half this year so um yeah I can I can certainly get that but this one I mentioned unpredictability I just I can't imagine this is an unpredictable finish here um because I think Punk has to win right because if we are heading towards Bad Blood where you get the you know this is the trilogy McIntyre wins the first one um somewhat you know involved Seth Rollins in that one now punk wins the rematch then you set up for your big third match and I think look that they really pushing bad blood is just a very big event um and I think this is a perfect scenario where get to that match there maybe you do steel cage maybe you do hel cell there's a lot of options you could go with to do kind of the third and final blowoff match here U between these two but to get there it makes no sense to do a third if one man is up to to0 although you know Carmelo Hayes and Andrade May differ on Smackdown but I just think Punk has to win this match um and you know like I said this is where I think with these final three matches to me it's really a lot more about how do they do it versus who wins and I think you know again for my my money I just think Punk has to win here uh because I just don't know what it serves you to have McIntyre win again especially in a match like this where you know they kind of played up on Raw McIntyre sort of retreating away from Punk uh and now there is no way for McIntyre to retreat he can't get away because these two are strapped together um and I think the Four Corners you know element of this too it's more dramatic when you have the baby face win this match versus when you have the heel going for the fourth corner and you just don't really get the crowd as invested into that so I think this is perfectly um set up for Punk to win to get a you know sort of dramatic finish here because it is different right um it's touching the Four Corners versus you know kind of your traditional match so I think Punk wins this one and that sets up the third match at Bad Blood all right the two championship Kevin Owens vs. Cody Rhodes - WWE Undisputed Title matches that most people have their eye on and I think this is not going to be the main event in my opinion I could see this match starting off the show maybe I'm wrong about that but as we say and as we said about SummerSlam match placement I think is going to be important in terms of the storylines because this match does feed into what I think will be the main event in gother versus Randy Orton because it does involve Cody rhods and Kevin Owens two guys who've been tied uh to Randy Orton and Cody in some sense been tied to gother but that story is not going to play out uh here but you know this is one where we've said you know it's been a different build right the build to this match has been different and there are some people that have criticized that uh and don't really feel like this has hit the level that it needs to for a big championship match but I do think this is way more about the story than it is the actual match itself because I don't think you have a lot of people who expect Kevin Owens to beat Cody rhods here especially too as I said if it's not the main event which I just don't think it's going to be I think gother is in that spot but I I just don't think you're going to have a scenario where you're adding that believability that Owens is going to win but that's okay because of why it's really about now the story of is Kevin Owens going to fully turn on Cody rhods and I think that is the most interesting part of this and that is what we're probably tuning in for and again whether that's a a good idea long term to have matches that are sort of built that way that's you know up for your own debate but uh I think this is one that this is the story now uh knowing that Randy Orton is lurking in the future for Cody uh knowing his ties to both of these if you start the show off with let's say Cody versus Owens and somehow you get a finish here where you know let's say Kevin Owens does finally make that big turn on Cody or maybe he doesn't and and you know how does that tie into then the last match of the night with or Orton versus Gunther I think those are our big questions here Cody is going to win this match I feel pretty confident in saying that but again I don't I don't necessarily know if this is where we get Owens just full-blown turn on Cody um and I think that's you know that's the Intrigue though right uh because it seems so obvious and I think that's the one right we saw the thing on SmackDown last week where you have Owens you know kind of getting ready to hit Cody with the belt but Cody turns just in time to see him Owens acts like he wasn't going to do anything we talked about kind of the Instinct right it's a it's a kind of a habit for Kevin Owens just to turn on his friends and I I think you know they're going to play that up again here uh but maybe it is really just as easy as Owens just comes out and you know turns on Cody after the match maybe Cody does something during the match that frustrates Owens and then forces that turn immediately after U maybe it happens during the match right maybe Owens just snaps and that's what happens and then Cody beats him and then he has even more reason uh to kind of go off in this new Direction but Cody's going to win it's really just a matter of how they decide to do this and I'm excited to to kind of you know see how they do it because I think there are multiple ways you can get to the next Direction with Cody uh and we've said before really outside the bloodline you know the Heel roster on Smackdown at times feels like it has been lacking so maybe if you turn Owens here uh and eventually you turn Orton you got a lot of good heels there uh you just got to be you know build up the the bigger baby faces around Cody uh and such but Cody is my pick for the winner you guys knew that already but I'm curious to know what you think about how this is actually going to play out with this match in terms of the story all right and then that does Randy Orton vs. Gunther - World Heavyweight Title lead us into this match gother defending the world heavyweight championship against Randy Orton Orton going for the 15 time accomplishment and they've really you know played that up but they've also played up the idea that this has become more personal than it needed to be Orton has said that multiple times and he has sort of you know revealed his motivations and goal here to actually win that 15th world Championship what it would mean for his career and all those things the problem is he's facing Gunther who is a newly crowned World Heavyweight Champion uh at SummerSlam and like I said I think we all know that Gunther's Reign ending four weeks after he won the title is highly unlikely and so it is then the question of what happens right how do we get from point A to point B uh and who all maybe factors into this match because you know I've said in the past I think something you could have play out here because of Gunther's approach a very cerebral wrestler right Orton's got the injury history with the back and all those things could you just have a scenario here where gother is just dissecting sort of that that history of of Orton's injuries and going after the back and going after some of these weak limbs right from Orton who the wear and tear from all the years of this but more specifically the wear and tear for Orton after getting beaten down by the bloodline over the past several months because he has been trying to help his friend Cody rhods I think somehow you have to tie that into this match here to again sort of lead us in the direction of where we're going to get to with Cody versus Orton we don't know how soon that's going to happen but I do think it's probably important that you start to lay the foundation a bit here which they already have because they have made it such a big deal for Orton to win another world championship and I think that already is set in motion everything you need to get to that Feud with Cody and remember too we had to sit down between the two whenever that was I don't remember the timeline was that a couple months ago now a month and a half ago whatever where they're sitting in the back Orton's kind of you know staring at the championship between him and Cody and so you you've already put it there that people know that Orton this is what he's thinking about he's thinking about this Championship all the time and he's explained to us the importance of winning that 15th World title and he's not going to do that here because gother is the pick and he's going to retain the championship but I think with these two matches as I said gother versus Orton Cody versus Owens do they play into each other if you have one kickoff the show you have one as the main event is there something that happens in between there that leads someone else to get involved in one match or the other I think that is a very intriguing element here because you do have the tie-ins with Cody Owens o Orton and you know three of those four with gother being the outlier are involved you know in a world championship high stakes match here on this card so I think that is something that probably is worth watching in terms of is there kind of a running thread from match one to match five where some of these guys get involved with each other whether it's you know a backstage segment or actually out in the ring um I think that is probably one of the biggest questions on this PL uh for bash and Berlin so there you go there are my picks for the five matches curious to know what you guys think I I felt confident going into SummerSlam you guys know we managed to get all of our picks right for summerson first time we've ever done that I don't feel as confident here because those two tag team matches uh that we mentioned at the top I don't have a great feel on who's going to win either one of those because I think there are um you know good explanations for uh either side on those but um I do feel pretty confident about the other three matches so we'll see how it turns out but you guys let me know your predictions on Bas and Berlin uh as always be sure to hit the Subscribe button hit the like button on way out always appreciate your feedback guys uh and again
