Updated Depth Chart what's good Raider Nation it's your boy s g back at it with another video today we are talking about a dep chart that was dropped by the Las Vegas Raiders and we're going to talk about what this dep chart kind of is telling us about the Raiders up to this point plus as the Raiders released this dep chart they had to make it known that is The Unofficial dep chart which does tell me one thing that might actually happen when the when the season kind of comes around or I should say when the first game comes around specifically plus Byron young the Las Vegas raest defensive tackle gave us an update and he took a pretty big shot at the Raiders so we're going to talk about that towards the end of this video but let's just get right into this jeck chart so you'll see right away the Las Vegas Raiders depth chart it's pretty much the same that we had known for a couple of weeks at this point right of course the one thing that uh is updated is that Garder muu is now the first team quarterback and an connell's the number two guy uh but what is interesting about this one is that Cody white here is slotted in as the Raiders started Garden I guess it's not technically surprising because I think a lot of us you know a lot of us have been told that Cody white here is going to start until Jackson Powers Johnson can be healthy and essentially he can prove himself right that's kind of what the coaching staff has been saying but what's interesting about Cody white here being slotted as the first and Jackson Powers as the second is that if you guys actually go up to the official like release of this article so the Raiders just put this out about an hour ago in the actual release they had to make it known that that the Raiders unveiled their first unofficial death chart the regular season on Tuesday and they had to put this little little verbage in right they said it's important to remember the dep chart is unofficial and always changing that said take a look at the full chart below as of September 3rd to me I don't know why the Raiders are putting this out there and saying that it's unofficial right like it does not make sense to me to say that there's there's no point of that just put it out say its officials coming from the Las Vegas Raiders and it's is essentially good to go right if the death chart is unofficial as of today at what time does it become official the game is like five or six days away at this point right so that doesn't make sense to me right I I don't know what the hell the Las Vegas Raiders are doing unless there's a possibility that the Raiders know that Jackson Powers Johnson might end up starting uh the Raiders might feel like hey we might get a swap out right tackle potentially and that's that's all speculation none of that is proven there's nothing to that but it's interesting nonetheless right that the Raiders had to kind of put that verbage in there that it's unofficial and always changing that's that doesn't matter right let's just be honest that to me does not matter uh but the depth chart is out there you guys can see the the guys that are starting uh Colt Miller is going to be the one obviously with P at left tackle we had talked about this Andre P has been practicing the right guard position but we don't expect unde to start at Right Guard right like we wouldn't expect him to come in day one and be the Raider starting Right Guard I think if Andrew P ends up playing Right Guard at any point this year it'll be because of an injury to parum or Dylan parm's really struggling the only change I could see at this point really happening would be at left guard as well as right tackle but Dar mford being slotted in as the first guy could actually mean he's won the job you know what would have been funny if the Raiders actually did was you know since since it's unofficial it would have been funny if they put Aiden mconnell as the quarterback one right could you imagine the Los Angeles Chargers pulling up the Raiders dep chart and Aiden a connell's listed as the one while Garder M was the guy that they said was going to start obviously that throw fans in a crazy situation right guys would you know be kind of going crazy but uh it'd be funny nonetheless right but there you guys have it on the offensive side on the defensive side there's really no changes at all I will say one thing uh you know we didn't really think about this but Nesta Jade Silvera right actually we haven't really talked about it Nesta Jade Silvera has you know he's basically the reason why Byron young was released right if you guys really think about it Nesta Jade svera came in the same exact year as Byron young one was a third round pick one was a seventh round pick and Silvera well outperformed byon young and to the tomb that the Raiders actually kept him on the active roster that's pretty crazy to think that Nessa Jade Silvera has been kept on the Raiders active roster to me I didn't feel like he did anything so much above Byron young that you looked at those two guys and said one guy a lot better than the other right never felt like that now maybe Nessa Jade Silvera has shown more upside and that's potentially true uh but I've never felt like he separated himself but Nessa Jade Silvera right now is listed as the number two defensive tackle behind John Jenkins and it is interesting to note as well you know John Jenkins is you he's a nose tackle when we come out in our base defense which is a 34 uh he's our nose tackle essentially right but more than him being our nose tackle in that three four front what what's interesting about John Jenkins is who's the number two to John Jenkins who's the next guy up to play nose is it Nesta Jade Silvera I don't know right I would think yes but I'm not 100% sure right it's not Adam Butler Adam Butler is more of a pass rusher Jonah Lalu is a lot smaller than in in my opinion in terms of being able to uh you know really be that nose tackle maybe Christian Wilkins but Wilkins is built like a three technique as well but you know Wilkins can play if you needed him to over a center and and take on double team blocks but it is kind of interesting right um and you know just across the board there's there's really nothing that's surprising right Max Christian John Malcolm the two linebackers that we kind of expected you got the three corners the two safeties that we all kind of expected um we're going to find out you know what the Las Vegas Raiders are going to kind of be this season uh and it is interesting you know again seven linebackers it's pretty crazy if you guys ask me now some people do think Tommy ikenberg may actually end up getting he might end up not actually making the or he might not actually play this year he might end up on the injured reserved or or something like that uh and again you know the Raiders told us this is unofficial and Amari gainers listed all the way at the back of of the dep chart that's how you know it's unofficial because there's no way Amari Gainer is not the Raiders third best linebacker at this point right based off the tape that we've kind of seen um it'll also be interesting to see you know is Amir Abdullah the kick returner is Trey Tucker the punt returner is that actually going to happen when the first game actually happens right because I do think some of this stuff will change and I think for kick return you know I think we'll get a couple different guys back there but it is interesting that these guys are the guys that did ultimately end up getting listed um that's the Raiders unofficial depth chart it's kind of interesting uh we got a couple other Jackson Powers Johnson Update updates as well I just want to quickly get into them nothing crazy Jackson Paris Johnson has switched his number if you guys remember Jackson Paris Johnson came out to the Raiders uh practice right the very first mini camp in in uh back then at OTAs and he came out with the jersey number 70 that was what was initially assigned to to Jackson Paris Johnson he is switching back to number 58 so Daren Butler had number 58 and Butler was obviously hurt last year he came in this year he wasn't fully healthy the Raiders ended up releasing him and uh is Jackson Paris Johnson that's now taking back his college number and now of course he's taking that number over from Darian Butler who won't be back with the Raiders so pis Johnson will have 58 if you guys have ordered any jerseys make sure you guys return those jerseys man uh although I don't know if official Jackson par Johnson jerseys are even available to purchase at this point uh but he did change his number I personally like the 58 I know some people have been posting that they prefer him wearing number 70 I like 58 I feel like it goes well with Jackson par Johnson it's just kind of him you know uh let's talk about two Byron Young Talks Raiders more things and we'll start with the Byron young you know statement that he kind of put out there and we're not going to watch the actual video I will read to you guys exactly what he kind of said so you know by Baron young put it out there he said he was completely blindsided and uh it is interesting in some of what he does kind of say you know he says I was completely blindsided it seemed like everyone else was too sometimes things just happen it's a part of business now byon young for him to say it seems like everyone else was too is kind of interesting because later on and you guys will see it he's kind of implying that the players and some of the coaching staff did not think he should have been released by the Raiders but you know he to him he at least feels like he was he was blindsided he also went on to say you know there's a lot of motivation uh he said about the change of scy he said it's a lot I want to come here and I want to make an impact there's a chip on my shoulder because the Raiders kind of just threw me to the Wayside but I feel like I'm in a much better situation here with a much better team and I'm excited to be here he also went on to say uh not really anything too specific they didn't even ask me to bring back the Playbook they asked me to come see the general manager and Tom Tesco just said we're going to we're going to essentially move on go in a different direction and the head coach did that too so I left and I came here right so Byron young saying that both the general manager and the head coach told him they were essentially going to move on uh he said right now I'm just trying to learn everything learn the basis of the defense and if my name is called Friday I'll be ready to go I hope to be uh I'll hope to be another key piece for the next few years that's really what I want to be I want to be able to make an impact right away this year uh and then at the very very end of this he says I'm just going to continue doing what I'm doing continue to do what I was doing in Vegas a lot of the guys over there saw my progress a lot of the coaches did just continue to do continue doing what I was doing so uh you know it's interesting that byon young feels like the Raiders just kind of threw him to the quote Wayside it's interesting to say that he feels like you know he's progressed and all these other guys saw it and you know it's just interesting to me that Byron young you know he's excited to be with the team that's apparently going to you know be winning or a team that's better than what the Raiders were you know because at the end of the day and I hate saying this Byron young sucked for the Las Vegas Raiders right Byron young was a terrible terrible football player he was so bad in his college tape that I was shocked that the Las Vegas Raiders drafted this guy Byron young was honestly one of the worst defensive tackles I've ever scouted after they got drafted right and trust me I watch a lot of defensive tackles after they end up actually getting drafted right because we don't have a tape we don't have tape on a lot of guys right and tape usually comes out after guys get drafted because you know this just kind of how it goes but uh you know when Byron young got uh when I watched tap on Byron young right and I had watched him a little bit before he got drafted I wrote him off right away I said this guy's not going to be draft he's a bad football player so when the Raiders took him in the third round I said maybe I'm missing something maybe my Approach and my eyes aren't as good as some of these other guys that are scouting in the NFL and I went back and I watched all of his all of his tape right not all of it but as many games as like I got my hands on so probably like seven games every single snap in those seven games and I said what what the hell why did the Raiders trap this guy and you guys can literally search the video they're still on YouTube you can put in San GT Byron young and you will see my reactions to the Byron young pick essentially the guy was a terrible terrible terrible football player in college I don't know how he got drafted I really don't know that um I understand that the Eagles did go ahead and and and essentially claim Byron young right I understand that they went ahead and did that that doesn't mean that they've seen something from this guy that makes them feel like hey he might be an absolute star or whatever whatever they might just look at it like hey we need another defense tackle maybe we can mold him into something we want big Fel great defensive coach uh you know there's a chance they feel like he can mold this guy into something we might need in fact they had to actually release a player to bring in Byron young they released one of their other defensive tackles in Marlin tul Tulu um I think that's how you say his last name he's the brother of the defensive men for the Chargers Tulu tooto he came from USC I think two years back um the Eagles released his brother in order to ENT signed Byron young but the truth is Byron young was never a good football player right and the fact that he's almost you know he's almost blaming the Raiders saying that you know they essentially gave up on me and you know Tom Tesco Antonio Pierce we're going to go a different direction you know I don't know it's just interesting to me because at the end of the day Byron young was really really bad last year to the point where they made this guy a scratch and this year we had heard from all the Raiders beat reporters all of them all Byron young this Byron Young that oh this this that he's going to look good he'll be better none of that was true he was still pretty much a bad football player now he did show a little bit more upside this year than he did last year but let's just be honest there's third round picks already better than Byron young this year in this year's class right there's guys literally already better than Byron young and have shown more so it's not like he couldn't develop and become a good player or whatever but you know that could be two or three years down the line and he might not actually ever even get there right so he did obviously go out and and and put it out there that he was kind of surprised with the Raiders releasing him I was surprised as well especially since he was on the 53 man roster one day and then the very next day they released him it didn't really add up to me there could be more to the story I don't really know uh Jermaine Eluemunor Praises Maxx Crosby let's finish this video with some positive things let's talk about a guy that I respect a lot this is a guy that was with the Las Vegas Raiders he's not you know he's not a superstar player nor was he ever like a absolute stud for the Las Vegas Raiders but he was a very very solid football player and that is tackle Germaine luminor who is now the New York Giants if you guys don't know this Germain luminor has actually taken the job of the new uh New York Giants specifically he's overtaking a guy in Evan Neil Evan Neil first round pick I think like three years ago has not been good and Germaine luminor has taken his job and luminor is actually starting for the New York Giants and uh he talked about you know how he kind of was able to get his career in order and he gave a lot of credit to Max Crosby check out what he had to say one of a kind he is one of a kind but I owe everything to that man just because getting to Vegas yeah I mean I I tell him that all the time too getting to Vegas the position I was in it was kind of for me it was this is really your L opportunity to make something of yourself and make something of your career getting to be around Max just honestly I don't know where I'd be today if I wasn't around him just because like I said his work ethic and how his approach to the game is and his belief in himself and his confidence was it was contagious and that's how I push game now I don't you know I like I said he's one of a kind but that's why he's at face of the franchise over there because he everything he does that you just want to do like you wna not only fall in line but you wanna you want to follow him into war because he's gonna go and give everything he has in that game and you know Max will tell you like last year he was beat up and he did not care at all he went into those games and the effort he gave is it was contagious like I'm saying I I want to be like I want to be like Max you know I want to be one the best in my position I want to be that guy who people look at be like every single play he's going to get everything he has it doesn't matter if he's hurt he's banged up they're down by 20 they're down by 30 he's goingon to go out there and go crazy every single play and you're gonna have to you're gonna have to take it from him in order to beat him and that's the type of guy I want to be all right guys so there you guys have it obviously he's very thankful for Max uh you know he watched Max he observed Max and he feels like Max Crosby kind of helped mold him a little bit and I'll be the first to tell you guys man me and illuminar used to speak all the time and this guy would always tell me about the battles between him and Max and he'd always tell me how motivated he was uh I think going from uh you know a year ago to or two years ago to last year you know he had told me how much effort he had put into the off season how much better this guy actually wanted to be and uh it's interesting to think because the guy actually did get really really shouldn't say he got great but he got a lot better right than he was like two or three years ago and uh he was actually a consistent player for the Raiders he had I think one game against the the Chargers which was I think week one or two of last year where he did struggle but outside of that he was pretty consistent and then when Colton Miller went down you know he had to start and play every single snap I think mford jumped over to left tackle even then I think illuminor mford kind of rotated in and out uh but the guy was pretty good and you know he's giving a lot of credit to Max Crosby and I always appreciate that you know Max Crosby deserves so much more credit than he gets and uh one of the things with Max that I feel like you don't really see around the NFL anymore is a guy that's trying to play 100% of snaps you know if you compare the snaps of like Max Crosby who plays like 1100 snaps to like you know whoever that next guy is Michael Parsons whatever those guys might be playing three or 400 snaps less than Max Crosby right Crosby playing so many more snaps what's crazy is last year he was hurt and Jermain alumar talks about that he says he still basically played through it to me I think Max Rob is going to have a phenomenal year this year uh especially if he plays 1100 snaps he might break the sack record this year there's a chance he breaks it so we'll see what ends up happening let me know what you guys think in the comments below man shout out to Jermain lumor uh let me know what you guys think man we're going to be getting into a uh a Chargers preview I'll probably drop that tomorrow if not the day after uh we'll get like a another official dep chart as well as we'll get a uh get the injury report I I want to see if Brock Bowers is healthy Justin Herbert you know had had a crazy ass injury and apparently I guess he's good to go now um but we'll get that on injury update we'll also look at some of the tape from the Chargers uh we'll predict a little bit about what Harbaugh is going to do with the Chargers so let me know what you guys think Man Thumbs Up subscribe and I will see you guys next time with another video
