we had the best time yesterday we were ready we had our flag Hoda cby and Savannah Guth three dishing on all things Paris Olympics including that moment when the USA women's gymnastics team secured the gold everything was going to work out and it just did it was like this was like if you were going to script the perfect night that was the script those girls came out they were ready and they won Gold and they won by a mile [Applause] I think seeing him as close as we were made it like just like extra extraordinary I was squeezing her hands so hard I think possible bruising it was incredible the gymnast by the way they hear Hoda's whistle they look up they're sending hearts to her it's just so fun to watch I mean they were incredible but to watch with Hoda she understands all the rules I'm like what about this what about that and we're so different she's like she's going to nail us and I'm like don't jinkx it I know I was like she's got it she's got it she's got it she don't say anything yet don't say it anyway it was a perfect team in the stands and to see USA repped it was as if this was at a HomeTown Stadium didn't it feel like that the place was packed with us Flags the today host in their fields over USA's Victory another reason to celebrate Seline deon's return to the big stage giving an emotional performance at the opening ceremony ah oh my God I mean we were just a puddle on the floor and that wasn't the rain those were our tears it was just so beautiful you interviewed Seline and I mean she was hinting to you that she had a big comeback but we had no idea what did this disease take away from you it didn't take anything away from me I'm going to go back on stage I will I will we didn't know what it was going to be and I think it was we were sort of waiting to see it was almost a surprise to to all of us so when we heard that first note we were like it's actually happening and we were in the downpouring rain there were people standing around us guys drinking wine and weeping who told us that they were in that they were with us in that moment it was beautiful and it was on the Eiffel Tower I mean come on iconic iconic memories being made in Paris but Sav and Hoda still have a piece of their hearts back home it's so exciting that of course you wish that your kids were here you wish that your spouse was here but honestly we are working so think it's one of those things when they get a little bit older and I think they can run off and do not by themselves but you know have a little more Independence then we would love to bring our kids to the Olympics Al did it for many many years when his kids got older so it's it's we miss them you know we miss them and it's also teaching us that our kids are fine when we are away for a few days they are perfectly fine we've been FaceTiming our kids and communicating with them and sometimes we feel like we have to be there all the time and we realize they're growing they're thriving they're excited and we can't wait to get home and see speaking of thriving the ladies praising this Paris Olympics commentator Snoop Bar None he's just been so amazing and enthusiastic and genuine and he doesn't make it about him it's all about the athletes you know what's funny he's in love with these athletes and he's in love with these Sports I mean he really is it's not about Snoop being there like when he's dancing with the girls from gymnastics he's like loosening them up you can actually feel it like he's doing that it's not like look at me I'm Snoop I'm in the stands no he he always about the others or he's about the parents so he's like the perfect I would have never guessed that in a million years he's the perfect commentator he's having the best Olympics I mean he went swimming with Michael Phelps he doesn't he's not afraid to poke fun of himself at himself Ready set go Mike you make this look too easy oh God as you see I'm in gold metal condition and he's still in gold metal condition he's like oh my lung capacity can't handle this on a shower C I mean and he has his own pin personalized pin where he's blowing Olympic smoke rings which is just too funny the Olympics proven to bring in the star power as far as their FA sightings oh Koda cot B we're going to play the national anthem for this Tom Cruz yes that was that was that was pretty epic okay it was pretty epic it was in the downpouring rain and he was soaking wet which was kind of fun that was but everywhere you turn around I don't think I've ever we've been to plenty of Olympics I don't think we've ever been to Olympics where this many um celebrities have have come it's just kind of interesting usually you see celebrities at like a super bowl or whatever every time you turn around it's like oh there's Lady Gaga oh there's Anna Wintour oh there's Sarah Jessica Parker there's a million people who are here it's kind of cool it's been fun I mean the Olympics are back and they understand that what I love about the celebs too is they understand like it's actually not about them and they know it like they're there as fans when you look at their faces Serena Williams or you know some of these SBS when a athlete does well they're they're fans like us by the way Spike Lee he was like us at the gymnastics I I thought he might sling himself over the bar so excited [Applause] [Music]
