hello everybody today we're in hor on the east coast of Yorkshire now it was sunny it was sunny for the entire time that I was driving up here and now it's gone all cloudy which I'm not going to lie as a redhead is fine by me I have no issues with that whatsoever it's actually quite nice and cool now so that's perfect now we're going to take a walk down here the beach has got an exclusion zone for dogs with it being summertime um so I can see dogs down there so I think I need to just go check out the signs because I think some parts of it are excluded and some parts aren't but we shall find out of course lubin's back he's back with us didn't come with us to uh on the gal andalo here but he's back with me now on a nice little Seaside trip in hansy so there are dogs down there but that doesn't necessarily mean that they're allowed to be there so I'm going to take a look cuz I know there was a sign saying that there's a fine of like ,000 if he dogs on the beach when it's not meant to be so I think I'm going to have to to um have a look at the signs cuz I don't want a ,000 fine do I Loop in no I do cuz you're a good boy it's been very hot recently far too hot to take looping out even even in driffield where I live so he just been having like a walk in the morning and then l in the evening so he's been struggling with it bless him yes it's 18° today and Under This Cloud it's lovely and cool so it's absolutely perfect well I didn't see any puffins in bton but we've got one here look at that that is very well decorated how Biz I did check the forecast today and this cloud looks like it's set to stay which is fine absolutely not a problem have you ever SE any of these that's for when the toy Yorkshire came to visit toy France but in Yorkshire okay wants to have a little sniff it is pretty windy today so hopefully you can hear me okay um so 2,000 years ago the coastline was not about where the Horizon is now so H Hy used to be 2 miles in land you can see obviously there the erosion so this would have been an inland town lots of wind turbine activity around this area see there some of the erosion I think that's a skipsy there the great storm of 1906 shaped the modern horn SE seafront the old IMC defenses were destroyed in the storm and replaced with the concrete defenses as we see them now [Applause] what is the cost of this Coastal erosion during the last ice age H sheets of ice up to half a mile thick covered much of Northern Britain wow there you go it's geographical history H prominade BS Club [Applause] it's all going down at the BS club we bit fundraising Marine Pub nice family Pub big Pub good good food in there I think me I think we had fishing chips in there once for last time we came and it was pretty good they are dog friendly as well most importantly I said it's a good kids Pub good family Pub we've got a good kids menu in there so K is for everybody which is what we like now would you believe this very colorful building here is actually a coast guard station you wouldn't think it would be from AAR it's pretty impressive isn't it it's literally decorated like this the whole way around look who wants to say hello the entire building all the way around is decorated in these little knitted flowers on the way up there were people some bething out here but it's um it's cooled off quite considerably since the sun's gone in so there you go now I parked in that car park there it's a long stair car park I think I've PA 360 for 3 hours which isn't too bad at all is it for a Seaside car pack I probably won't be here for that long but better to be safe and sorry and there's public toilets here as well I love these old posters Lakeland by the sea Illustrated guide from Council Office so that's a railway post there from 1926 the Horn's rail connection toour was closed in 1964 I wonder why now this is a big paddling pool for kids oh hello Wow way anyway yeah so behind me it's a big paddling pool for kids I'm obviously I'm not going to film it but [Music] yeah there for fishing chips they've got it from there sea front seafront chippy it's such a nice comfortable temperature right now yesterday it was ridiculous and the day before that was even worse we were clearing out the shed yesterday and put stuff in the Loft and it was just right uncomfortable it was very sweaty and a very productive day which wasn't fun but there you go it needed to be done uh I forgot to look at the beach rules with the dogs but come on lopin want someone's fishing chips so there's a care home there but you have to pay a lot extra to have a um a c View a guest house there as well again CV probably at a premium no no dogs on this bit from 1st of May till the 30th of September inclusive maximum fine $1,000 so yeah I'm not exactly going to risk it with them that's a lot of money's go down here we going down here l l often leads away leads me a stray don't you Lin he's probably really enjoying this weather today it's it's quite nice so that's hansy Hub which is a nie ride in Leisure it's a gym a library a children's center day opportunities and cafe and public toilets don't know if there's a swimming pool here as well Amusement Center win the latest prizes latest prizes games people play up and daily throughout the [Music] year PA cish and chips haven't decided where I'm going to have my uh classic coffee in the snack yet but we shall see I even try small fish and chips so from here you can get on the trans spine Trail which is an exciting route for Walker cyclists and manying parts horse riders so you get it from hor SE through to Hull you get to it from York and it goes all through Bley all the way through near Manchester the [Music] Southport that is the haunty Wave A W mesh W very [Applause] cool that's a whale so this looks like a big grassy area I need to turn around hang on makes me dizzy that dog got your Loops Oh Long may this Cloud continue so it justes continue all the way down there which looks like a massive Caravan Park the Town Center is done that way this is a marker for the L Grand mot Garden presented to hansy by the people of larand M twined in [Music] 1981 help if actually said we l m wat wouldn't it I'll uh I'll find out for you so there is more Beach here but I don't know if you can take your dogs on this bit and I don't want to risk it pretty much get the gist of the beach there anyway I mean it's not exactly it's not exactly Miami it's quite a peevly rocky Beach and it's sort of separated by those don't know if they're Coastal defenses no not going up there liing so I think up here it's just the it's just a caravan par to be honest I literally lathered myself in Sun cream as I was getting out of the car and the sun immediately disappeared again it be safe and sorry a it [Music] [Applause] yeah got shoes on doing on this [Music] so even still no dogs as far away as far as up here so just don't do it just don't dirtty dogs on the beach I just went that way down there and I got blocked off dead end because of fences about to come back oh dear it's pretty much all the seide that so we're going to have a quick look at the Town Center see what's there see what's interesting and yeah hopefully it's not going to rain it's getting cloudier and cloudier but it's not a far cast too but I'm sure it'll be F let's have a look around Hall gath Park probably cut through to the Town Center from here there was a huge play Park here pH would love it here she's a sucker for a park is FES difficult to get her out of it sometimes there's even a skate park [Music] very exciting I believe today this weekend there's a carnival on here I didn't know where it was but it turns out it is actually here so let's go have a little look [Music] around it's the last day of the festival today so I'm not sure what's going to be on but we shall see there's a few people about it's pretty busy I think that's a stage there imagine they have live music on little Seaside Town it was quite busy today actually it was um quite full of tourists maybe I guess people coming to see the carnival and coming to see the seaside at the same time yeah the carnival was pretty good I was impressed it was pretty big lots of food places lots of lots of drink places rides and stuff Lots stuff to do for the little kids and live music as well can't go wrong really so yeah come and visit hansy come and visit on a nice day and bring the little ones because there's lots of stuff for them to do especially that really cool paddling pool um bring the swim stuff bring a towel they can Splash around in that while Trav fishing chips can't go wrong yeah come visit Hy I've visited lots of other places as well I visited whitne um driffield lots of places related videos
