welcome to the digital section for troubleshooting it's not a very long section because there really isn't that much trouble to shoot most often when a customer has a power loss or or their internet connection slows down or stops completely there's a very quick simple fix that you can do yourself all right guys how about a little help here I'm scared I want to take just a moment to show you this one easy trick to try if you ever find your internet service isn't behaving as it should it's called a modem reset your modem should look like one of these right here this is the device that takes your internet signal from the optimum network and delivers it to your computer or internet router if you purchased one because there's so much information moving through your modem every second it's understandable that once in a blue moon the modem might get hung up confused frustrated you pick the word all you need to do to reset your modem is disconnect the power for about 10 seconds and then reconnect it if you have a modem with the optional battery backup unplug the modems power cord and then just take out the battery for 10 seconds 1 2 3 4 5 6 7 8 9 10 put it back in close it up plug it back in and voila that's usually all you need to do in a few moments your modem should be back to full performance and you're back in business I'll see you soon you
