I won't say it's rare but like in 100% I can put like 50% of women now are into men skills I feel that one of those things that motivated me to that line of okay becoming a shoe maker when I made my first one million that my business first one millionaire I called my dad I told my dad I called my mom I told my mom when I sto working the money R and I okay let me give you another TR I went into fashion with the mindset that I just want to have an ant skill I just wanted something that keeps me busy I had a colleague now is my colleague that makes food SS and he came to me that I could be reselling this food sweats and make profits from them so I started with the idea of buying them like buying from him and reselling when I post when I get order it makes then I resell so along the line I I'm I was trying to build my I was trying to shaping my brand I was trying to build my audience they like go to other brands on Instagram or other social media apps then I look at their brands I look at how they promoting their brand I take one or one or two strategies from them and rebu them to just do M but along the line I came across a certain female I can't remember her name she actually makes this photo as herself so that really inspired me that wow so a lady can actually do this so me seeing that lady making that photo it actually pushed me to be like Wow since I'm interested in this thing I can also do it myself I W say it's rare but like in 100% I can put like 50% of women now are into men skills so I just wanted to do something out of the book so I just feel like women can also divert into other skill accusations that are not similar I had a colleague that Mak for me then I res so I came about my brand name um 2020 I wanted a name that is very unique and it's it merged with me that's why I came about R so Ram is um is removed from Miriam so that's I came about the name mam SS then I I actually did my logo myself I did my brand I chose the color I wanted to work with a color that suits me though my favorite color is purple so I just wanted because I didn't want to go with people's perspective because actually one of the challenges I fac then was that I had someone that was actually coaching me into branding then person was like ah this purple not everyone will like purple ah that why don't use a plain color at the ear stage of my of my career there are some stages I do make sales in fact I always rant like what's happening and posting no sales but when I found my way around it was that as a business owner or an entrepreneur online or physical you should always learn how to read your audience kind of people that you want to patronize you and always make sure that what you are giving to them is something that even if they get it and they satisfied there's no how they always come back always give out a service that speak statement and their return will be your own satisfaction I always make sure um what I'm giving to my audience is premium and I explain to them in details I make them understand that what you are getting don't always think about the price think about if I should wear this like of what benefits will it be to me of what how will he it to my style there'll be days of downfalls there'll be days of no sales just accept it as it is keep pushing be consistent most people they not consistent you can't claim that business gr though and you just post two times in a week or three times in a day let your name be the first that pop out from their mouth so that's I walk around my brand that's I've been building my brand I've been walking around is the way I am today one of the challenges I faced them that I couldn't get um the kind of audience I want for my business so I was actually prioritizing my price down if I'm giving a customer a particular price they might be um it's expensive that there other brands that sell for me now then you agree to what that customer says that customer already has that perspective that whatever they told you that I so for me in this price you would agree so that's that's one of those things I faced and I've learned from that I should never prioritize my price down for a client always stand on my price when you receive it you yourself you see that the product you are getting is what the price you paid at the end of the day and also another challenge I faced was that at the at the early early days or when started which I thought a colleague of mine was making it there are some certain mistakes he did like in terms of him not using um Quality material when I became a Shaker myself I tend not to make that mistake if you disappoint a client for the first time of for the second time it is very rare for the client to come back to you when I made my first one million I did a discount sales which I myself I didn't expect to turn out the way it did and um thank God I'm I was so happy when in fact I was happy to the point that I showed my grandma I told her that ah I made one million that my business cost one million I called my dad I told my dad I called my mom I told my mom considering the fact that I haven't had a store I haven't had the store when I made that money I haven't had a store yet so I was so happy I was thankful then it actually pushed me that if at a certain point in life I can go this far without the assistance of anybody with just my own skill I feel like no one can come and undermine my efforts or my knowledge about it because when it comes to skill what people don't actually know is that you're not paying for the service we rendering you're actually paying for the knowledge because you don't have that knowledge I pay to acquire the knowledge so now you pay to me to r a service for you it's not the service now it is the knowledge of I've learn over the years we are paying for because if I don't have that knowledge I can't provide that service to you the advice I would give you firstly is to stay consistent stay consistent in what sense in everything you do in the aspect of the job or the skill you acquire always be consistent and never give up on it even on days you don't have sales on De um customers G bad reviews ucation is open iMed all parents should watch out for but along the line they should also encourage their children to also go into skills it can be any skill not necessary to be summer period it can be during all the days if some they can add into school curriculum I just feel like schools should um add it to their curriculum they should Empower children now in skills education is priority but it is not enough education is not enough and that's how it Ls up a success story Salam has shown us that with determination a dash of creativity and a whole lot of passion you can turn any challenge into a stepping stone to Greatness from a humble beginnings to running a thriving shoe brand mam story is proof that when life gives you lemon you can turn it into a lemon or better yet a million do pair of shoes keep strting your stuff and remember the next step you take may be the start of something B until the next time bye
