FIRST HARD FROST OF THE YEAR WILL KILL OFF ALL THE MOSQUITOES. WELL, TURNING NOW TO YOUR FULL WEATHER FORECAST. METEOROLOGIST STEPHEN METRIC IS HERE NOW. AND STEPHEN, INITIALLY WE HAD THAT REAL FALL FEEL EVERYONE'S BY A PUMPKIN SPICE LATTE AT THE BEGINNING OF THE WEEK, NOT TO FEEL A LITTLE MORE SUMMERY AGAIN, I THINK YET HAD SOME LOCATIONS TODAY ACTUALLY HIT 80 DEGREES FURTHER INLAND. SO IT DEFINITELY WAS A PRETTY NICE DAY. LOW HUMIDITY, LOTS OF SUNSHINE, OF COURSE. GOOD WEATHER. >> TO BE OUT AND ABOUT AND GOING ABOUT YOUR DAY AND WE'RE LOOKING AT THAT SEEM TO CONTINUE REALLY THE NEXT COUPLE OF DAYS FRIDAY AND INTO PARTS OF THE WEEKEND. SO LET'S TAKE A LOOK OUTSIDE. WE'RE LOOKING DOWN NARRAGANSETT. THIS IS THAT POPULAR SPOT. >> ALL SUMMER LONG AND EVEN NOW AND SEPTEMBER, STILL SEEING A DECENT CROWD OUT HERE. IT'S PRETTY NICE HEAR LITTLE BREEZY, THOUGH, THAT MAY MAKE THINGS FEEL THAT COOLER DOWN THE IMMEDIATE SHORELINE. BUT OVERALL NOT TOO BAD. MORE STOP OUTSIDE HERE IN NEWPORT HARBOR. ALWAYS NICE. PRETTY LOOK. THE FLAGS HERE AT THE BOTTOM OF SCREEN SHOWING THAT BREEZE AGAIN COULD MAKE THINGS FEEL A TOUCH COOLER AT THE IMMEDIATE SHORELINE. TEMPERATURES, 70'S IN PROVIDENCE, 79 IN SMITHFIELD TO 80 DEGREES EARLY THIS AFTERNOON. SAME DEAL IN TIME. NOTICE COASTAL AREAS, THOUGH, A LITTLE BIT ON THE COOLER SIDE. WE'LL BE BACK INTO THE 50'S OVERNIGHT TONIGHT INTO TOMORROW MORNING. HERE IS THAT RADAR CHECK. THANKFULLY. NICE AND QUIET. NOT TRACKING ANY SHOWERS OR STORMS. HOWEVER, AS WE GO FORWARD NEXT COUPLE OF DAYS IS GOING TO BE OFFSHORE STORM THAT WILL HELP TURN UP THE WATER A BIT. THAT MEANS A LITTLE MORE OF A RIP CURRENT RISK AS WE GO INTO FRIDAY AND SATURDAY. NOTICE THE BLUE AREA HERE, INCLUDING PARTS OF THE DAY, SEEING 4 TO 6 FOOT WAVES REALLY ACROSS EASTERN FACING BEACHES AS WELL AS A RIP CURRENT RISK. HIGH SURF ADVISORY OUT EAST FOR THE CAPE AND ISLANDS. SO BE MINDFUL THIS IF YOU'RE PLANNING TO GO DOWN TO THE WATER BOTH FRIDAY AND INTO SATURDAY, NOT MY 3 KEY THINGS. NICE WEATHER THIS EVENING. GOOD FOR DINNER. PLANS WATCHING THAT OFFSHORE STORM AGAIN SHOULD STAY FAR ENOUGH AWAY TO NOT REALLY GIVE US ANY PRECIPITATION, BUT CERTAINLY COULD CHURN UP THE WATER A BIT. THEN LOOKING AT A COUPLE SHOWER, CHANCES DURING THE WEEKEND. SO HERE IS THAT STORM SYSTEM OFF THE COASTLINE THE NATIONAL HURRICANE CENTER IS WATCHING THAT SYSTEM FOR POTENTIALLY DEVELOPMENT THERE. COLD FRONT OFF THE WEST. THAT WILL BE OUR SHOWER MAKER FOR PARTS OF THE WEEKEND WITH HIGH PRESSURE IN THE MIDDLE. KEEPING US NICE AND DRY FOR RIGHT NOW AND INTO FRIDAY. SO THERE'S THAT SYSTEM AGAIN OFF THE EASTERN PART OF THE COUNTRY. CAN SEE THIS IS THE NATIONAL HURRICANE CENTER'S OUTLOOK. A 30% CHANCE OF DEVELOPMENT OVER THE NEXT 7 DAYS. NOTICE THE TREND IS NORTHEASTWARD KIND OF RUNNING PARALLEL TO THE NORTHEASTERN COASTLINE, STAYING OFFSHORE. BUT NEXT NAME ON THE LIST FOR THE HURRICANES SEASON WOULD BE. FRANCINE, FOLLOWED BY GORDON. SO STILL TBD TO KIND OF FIGURE OUT THE SYSTEM WILL HAVE A NAME OR NOT. BUT WATCH AS WE DEVELOP IT STAYS OFFSHORE. HERE IS SOUTHERN NEW ENGLAND SEEING THE CLOUDS IN PLACE BUT NOTICE PRECIPITATION STAYING WELL OFF SHORE AT ADVANCING COLD FRONT FROM THE WEST KIND OF HELPS TO KEEP IT OFFSHORE AS IT PUSHES ITS WAY FURTHER EASTWARD. THAT SYSTEM NO CLOSE ENOUGH TO TURN UP THE WATER AS WE GO TO SATURDAY THE SATURDAY MORNING SEEING A BLEND OF SUN AND CLOUDS STAYING QUIET AND DRY. TAKING US INTO SATURDAY AFTERNOON. I DON'T THINK THE SHOWERS WILL GET HERE UNTIL SATURDAY EVENING SATURDAY NIGHT THAT COLD FRONT AGAIN PUSHING ITS WAY EASTWARD AND THANKFULLY CLEARING THINGS OUT IN TIME FOR SUNDAY. SO MOST OF THE WEEKEND ACTUALLY LOOKS PRETTY GOOD ACROSS OUR AREA. THAT SHOWER CHANCE LOOKS TO BE OVERNIGHT SATURDAY AND INTO SUNDAY. SO HERE'S THAT WAY. FORECAST AGAIN FOR FRIDAY. 4 TO 6 FOOT WAVES AGAIN, HIGHER FURTHER EAST OUT TOWARDS THE CAPE AND SOME OF THE ISLAND'S HIGHEST WINDS, OF COURSE, STAYING OFFSHORE. BUT STILL COULD BE TURNING UP THE WATER AND COULD, OF COURSE, CAUSE SOME RIP CURRENT RISKS ON THE HIGHER SIDE FOR FRIDAY AND SATURDAY THIS EVENING LOOKING PRETTY GOOD SUNSET AROUND 7.11, TEMPERATURES FALLING BACK INTO THE 60'S WILL BE IN THE 50'S OVERNIGHT TONIGHT INTO TOMORROW MORNING. AND SPEAKING UP TOMORROW MORNING CLOUDS, SOME EARLY FOG POSSIBLE. MAYBE EVEN SOME JUST DRIZZLE AS WELL. TURNING BRIGHTER AND DRIER, THOUGH, AS WE GO INTO THE MIDDLE PART OF THE DAY, 7 DAY FORECAST FOR YOU. THINGS LOOKING PRETTY GOOD FOR FRIDAY AND INTO THE WEEKEND THAT SHOWER CHANCE AGAIN FOR SA
