well what's going on car Nation well what a game today what a game we win the series against the New York Yankees by a score today of 14-7 yes 14-7 I believe a season High 14 runs 21 hits and Jordan Walker the Cardinals young outfielder just got caught up uh on Friday a career day five for five scored four runs drove in three and yeah and although in this game we at one point we're up 7 to2 the Yankees scored five unanswered runs to tie it up at seven in the sixth inning and you know it was looking like it might have been a a very tough loss and it looked like it was either going to be a tough loss or an another nail biting win but that was not the case as we scored seven runs in the final three Innings so yeah what a game so a scoreless first inning then we would take a one to nothing lead the top in the second Jordan Walker an RBI single scoring Brandon Donovan to put us up one to nothing uh could have gotten more however a large Nar be picked off uh in a run down trying to steal a third the Yankees would then take a two to1 lead immediately in the bottom of the set or rather would tied up at one the bottom of the second a solo home run by DH John Carlos Stanton who leads all active players in home runs with like 400 and over 400 it's like 420 something like that this is 24th of the season so that would tied up a one but not for long the Yankees would take a two to1 lead as J Chisum Jr would score on what was a throwing error by Miles micheles uh he would trying to steal third he would be safe and then uh a error by michelas on the pickoff throw would allow him to score so that give the Yas a two to1 lead then Mason wi would tied up in the or would put us back on top rather in the top of the for 3-2 and then a two-run home run by Lucan Baker would put us up 5 to2 so still a lot of game left but that was a great start to see and then a two- run home run by Jordan Walker in the top of the fifth his first home run of the season and made the opening day roster did walker uh then got sent down like a month in this season we recall him up uh in the middle of August then we sent him back down and now he's back up in the majors and he has first home run the season comes on September 1st nonetheless so in which Jordan Walker of course had a very good rookie year last year so that would give us a 7 to2 lead and michelas would Pitch Four Innings uh and Yankees will make it a seven to3 game R dou by longtime Cup first baseman Anthony Rizzo uh and we actually Mich was pitch in in the fifth but then give up three runs then base hits by Verdugo and Torres would make it 75 still knowing out and then uh John Keane coming in with two Runners on we get Juan stto to grind into a double play and then they would intentionally walk Aaron judge to put two Runners on it uh Kean would get out of it so nice job at him and Anthony Rizzo just came off the iil having on the iil because of a uh injuries since like the middle of June so his first game action in two and a half months so then in the bottom of the sixth uh Riley O'Brien on the mountain with uh two Runners on and Anthony vulpi would make it a 76 game and then it base it by Verdugo to loow the bases and then glaver Torres with a sacrifice fly to tie up 77 so so we were up 72 at one point the Yankees came all the way back to tie it up seven all and then JoJo Romero would come in uh trying to keep it tied and he would do just that as uh Lars Newar with a great catch to keep it tied at seven into the seventh uh and then in the top of the seventh Lars Newar with the Bas loaded would clear the bases with a three-run double to put us up 10 to7 uh weren't done yet as Victor would drive in new far and then Mason wi an infield hit he would then Advanced a second on a wild pitch by the Yankees pitcher so just like that five runs in the inning and we were back on top 127 an inning a third scoreless from JoJo Romero and one two three eighth inning from Andrew kitridge and then in the top the ninth already up by five Lars Newar with some insurance to put put us up 14-7 so a huge day for LS Nar going three for five driving in five runs and five hits for Jordan Walker three hits for Brennan Donovan Paul and Lars new bar so four players with three three or more hits uh every player in the lineup had at least one hit in this game so what again this was a huge win a huge Series win against a a first place team and a playoff team so and held Aaron judge to without a home run and actually Aaron judge not even have an RBI this entire series which is pretty uh pretty amazing uh since he has uh 50 like 54 homers actually has a chance to set his own record for the most home runs in American League history which ironically he just said two years ago so and the Brewers lost today to the Reds in Extra Innings and we'll be facing the Brewers tomorrow uh Day game tomorrow also we have activated pitchers Steven matz and outter Michael seani from the iil mats who has not pitched in a game since April 30th uh and canani uh activated to not appear in a game uh but expected to Poss be played tomorrow in Milwaukee so huge series come up we just took two of three from them at home in our uh uh a week and a half ago so but the red hot Cubs also won again they've now won six in a row so they won big today at the Nationals 14 to1 so but yeah till Monday K saying go carts
