You can call it the first presidential debate since we did have a debate between Biden and Trump in late June, I guess you can say this is the first presidential debate between vice president. Kamala Harris. and former president, Donald Trump there. So, uh, today we learned from ABC News, some of the rules that have been agreed upon by the campaigns, for the course of the debate. Uh, let's put some of them up here. So this is what we know. That the debate will last 90 minutes. there will be 2 commercial breaks. it will be moderated by ABC news anchors, David mirror, and Lindsay Davis. Uh, now this is interesting and important Trump won the coin toss, Remember that coin toss happened yesterday? virtually. So he will offer. The last. closing statement. because he won the coin toss. That is what he wanted he wants. the final word so to speak. Now, Harris, having lost the coin toss selected. the podium position on the screen. so viewers will see here on the right. viewers will see Trump on the left. there will be no opening statements closing statements will be 2 minutes each. Now the question we've all been waiting for, here's an answer on those microphones. The mics will be live. only for the candidate speaking. And others will be muted. Now, remember, The Harris campaign was going quite hard on this question saying that they wanted the Mike's unmuted throughout the whole course of the debate. Looks like that is not going to be the case here and like the CNN debate in Atlanta in late June, there will be no audience. in the venue in the room here, this is happening in Philadelphia. out live there to the City of Brotherly Love.
