well more than 67 million Americans tuned in to watch the presidential debate between Donald Trump and Camala Harris this week now a lot of people were saying Harris won the debate but I reckon that's only because the expectations on her were so low to be fair the expectations were low on Joe Biden in the first debate he just had to prove he was alive in order to be judged a winner and he didn't do that and so he was gone Cala Harris well she just had to not cackle like a hyena with ADHD and avoid talking in riddles in order to be judged a success and amazingly she managed to do that and so she was judged the winner for more I'm joined by Sky News contributor kosher G kosher thanks for your company no sooner had the debate ended than Harris was calling for another one but Donald Trump well he said today no know there won't be another debate so I got to start by asking you who's got more to lose by not committing to another debate I think uh kamla Harris actually has more to lose by not committing to another even though conventional wisdom would say she did better and if she could replicate that um she contined to grab the momentum that ostensibly she got a little bit of after um the other night but she has more to lose for a few reasons one is she's not uh hasn't shown any depth around policy positions and to why give her another venue to to do that if she wants to do that she has to kind of fight to that to do that herself she's had ample time to debate she she's rejected NBC and CBS and fox and all other uh venues that were offering it to her she was her team was micromanaging with the microphones and uh negotiating details till the very last minute so why reward that type of a team with this type of venue let her go out and and just do more interviews is one two I think it takes the shine away from uh the vice presidential debate that's going to come and I think that's actually going to matter more than it typically does for for many reasons of how those news Cycles are going to be driven and three is Trump is not shy at all with media so without a debate he is still doing press conferences and rallies and long form podcasts and all sorts of things so he can really suck up the oxygen for the next 60 days where she is not going to be inclined to do that and so there's no reason for for team Trump to hand her another very friendly venue like such as what happened let her go out there and um find media Outlets herself all right interesting the the contrast during the bate debate between the two candidates I found very interesting Cala Harris was all smiles and of course she's projecting Joy cuz that's what she's bringing whereas Trump came across as slightly irritable I thought and he even admitted as much uh here was his explanation people said that I was angry at the debate angry I was angry and yes I am angry because he allowed 21 million illegal aliens invading our communities many of them are criminals they said he's an angry person no they're destroying our country I don't like she's you know she's smiling all practice right did you just see her she's like we're talking about a border Invasion the likes of which no country has ever suffered and she like this kosher he makes a great point he does you know this is classic Trump and it reminds me of something he did in 2016 when uh he was facing a lot of opposition from the Republican Party during that primary and uh when he was clinching the nomination and I think it was Nikki Haley who was sort of alluding to how we need to not be angry and we need to be unifying uh without mentioning Trump and he gave a very similar speech that no actually I think righteous indignation righteous anger is exactly what is the appropriate reaction right now given the direction of the country so he sort of uh bringing that trick back out and he's also somebody who's the master of driving media cycles and taking what was a little bit of a lackluster performance as I think most of his supporters thought and were disappointed in uh the debate but driving the residual value of things or flipping the narrative away from uh the negative to something favorable to him and uh I think it does make a good point that you know we've got serious problems and you need a serious leader and anger is the appropriate emotion so he's sort of reframing the whole the whole narrative okay so uh post debate we've now got pop star Taylor Swift endorsing Camala Harris for president uh reports show there have been more than 400,000 visitors to the voter registration website since she posted her support for Cala Harris how much is Taylor Swift's endorsement really worth I mean she's made her Fortune singing about all her bad choices yes so there are two lenses through which to to look at this one is Taylor Swift as a messenger as an opinion influencer I don't think it matters that much uh you know the people that listen to her are likely to be swayed by what a 34-year-old pop star says are people that were always going to be either non-voters or in the Democrat Camp anyway however the second lens where I think this could be a factor is in the nuts and bolts of voter registration which you alluded to and her ability to build a database off the back of her conert sales and ticket sales of hundreds of thousands of people that are not likely to be voters in the us where we don't have mandatory voting and then coupled with a Democrat Machinery that's very good at acquiring ballots or turning out low propensity voters out of that database and if they can squeeze out 10 20 30,000 people who otherwise wouldn't have voted swifties to do so in the swing counties of Swing States it actually could be a factor so I would not discount uh the importance of this and and the other side would be wise to to figure out how to combat that and drive vo registrations on their own side to to counter this effect kosher just quickly do you think anyone considers the fact that you know Tellis Swift she's a billionaire she's not worried about grocery prices inflation's really not a problem the the Border crisis and illegal immigrants I mean she would live in a very secure gated community no doubt she's got security so uh you know Camala Harris another four years of Democrats really isn't going to make her life much more difficult is it not at all rules for thee and and not for me and I think whether it's her or the Hollywood set or any of these people they really epitomize how out of touch they are with what's happening in with the real people in Springfield Ohio and Aurora Colorado and all those places that uh get pointed to and got pointed to in the debate she's completely living on a different playing field and and that's why I think as a messenger it's not going to get cut through or if anything it could Boomerang uh against those middle of the road voters that are hurting and that she can't relate to it's just about the mechanics of uh driving voter registration is the only place where she has value nothing beyond that about her Persona uh I think will carry through with the everyday American here's my hot tip Camala Harris will lose the election and then Taylor Swift will write a number one song about their toxic relationship and uh how that's how that's going to end kosher I appreciate your time tonight thanks for joining me
