Angel Reese's rookie season Hey hey YouTube did you miss us welcome back to First Take exclusively on YouTube Stephen A let's get after it let's do it can I get a little smile for the fans why are we worried about my smiling for as long as you smiling that's all they need I mean you're kind of Mean Mug you're going to Mean Mug in for our first YouTube segment of the week all right time for a quick take let's start with the queen Angel Reese announced his social media over the weekend that her rookie season has come to an end after unfortunately suffering a wrist injury that will require surgery the number seven pick in the draft finished the season averaging over 13 points 13 boards it's the highest rebound average in the history of the W ree also set the rookie record with 26 double doubl Stephen A now that her season is over how would you grade a rookie campaign very good very impressive she deserves a lot of credit for it feisty uh uh you know goes out there fights gives it all she's got for a teammates every day and they were relevant for a while before they went on this latest losing streak but 26 double doubles on the season averaging a double double only the fifth rookie in WNBA history to pull that off you can't say enough the only thing you can say about her as a rookie is that she wasn't Caitlyn Clark that's about it everything else is nothing but positive and even that is positive because everybody ain't GNA be you know the female version of Steph Curry for crying out loud that's what that's what Caitlyn Clark is playing two different positions but Angel Reese deserves all the credit in the world heck of a season heck of a season I think she's got a really really bright future absolutely wishing her speedy recovery and coming back next season we expect even better and stronger so all the best to her um also what just wrapped up would be week one in the NFL so always fun to take a look 49ers, Eagles & Bengals takeaways back Stephen A what are your top five takeaways in week one well one would be the ners you know because they look lethal I got to give them credit where credit is due the Eagles looked good with saquan Barkley too that's another takeaway that I can't ignore so I got to look at that okay then I got to think about Bengals and Jamar Chase because I'm looking at Jamar chase the Bengals lost to the New England Patriots they were eight and a half Point underdogs no one expected bingles didn't see him in sync and I love the fact that they lost because guess what Mike Brown you're the owner for the Bengals you got to take care of Jamal chase that brother needs to be paid he deserves to be paid and even paid out there on the field he can't be given it as all you got to worry about being healthy and not getting hurt because of all of that money he's got on the table that he's trying to get get a hold of so I got look at it from that standpoint still is Pittsburgh Steelers' QB situation the story of the Pittsburgh Steelers and um their situation at the quarterback position as far as I'm concerned if you got two quarterbacks you got none because they don't have a definitive quarterback at that spot and I saw Justin fields on a football field yeah but six field goals that's all you can do but they still won Russell Wilson couldn't go and he got the W well excuse me you asked me I'm telling you I'm not satisfied I'm not satisfied I need the quarterback to get that ball in the end zone I don't want you walking away with field goals six field goals that ain't what I'm looking for for my quarterback that defense and TJ Wat want to start next week if both are help I want Wilson to start because I want to see what Wilson got for you in a steers uniform so I want to see that and last but not least I think the obvious you know from week one is this the 49ers and the Kansas City Chiefs Chiefs-49ers destined for a Super Bowl rematch? appear to be on the verge of a Trilogy that they're gonna meet in the Super Bowl again based on what we saw Monday night from San Francisco what we saw Thursday night from Kansas City I think everybody looks at these two teams and say man it's it's kind of hard to bet against them not meeting again absolutely and we can't underscore it enough we talked about in the show that was the ners without their best player on their team and Christian mcaffrey that's right absolutely unbelievable putting on a show all right well we're pumped for week two I like your story lines thank you so much I appreciate I'm with it thanks so much for watching there we go we got a smile out of him okay folks be sure to watch first EG Monday through Friday 10:00 a.m. on ESPN and be sure to check back with us for more exclusive First Take debates on you YouTube I'd like us to keep these story lines we will be revisiting them and checking back in on you Stephen A because we're about accountability on first dat we're about accountability have a good day everybody
