You know him as the voice of the Browns. Long time three new sports director, Jimmy Donovan retired from his role here at Wkyc. After nearly 40 years earlier this summer today, Jimmy announcing the painful decision to leave his role as voice of the Browns. Jimmy's cancer has come back and he is once again fighting the disease with everything he has. Jimmy releasing a letter to Browns fans within the past few hours. Couch with two seconds ago being chased. Couch steps up, heaves went down the near sideline to the right looking for Kevin Johnson for his team Browns fans everywhere. Well, the regular season is finally here. Can you imagine the atmosphere inside Browns Stadium when the Cowboys and Browns kick it off? It will be electric. It will be epic. Unfortunately, I will not be calling the game on the Browns radio network. I've called my last Browns game and that's why I'm writing to you as many of, you know, I've been dealing with cancer for many years. I've gone through every treatment imaginable, but my cancer is a defiant opponent and has returned and very aggressively. This will require me to devote everything I have in me to continue the fight and my family and I are committed to doing that. Let me give it the green green stutter step. He's through first out. 40 45 50 4540 run. Will you run? I've called Browns games for 25 years. Not a day has gone by when I haven't paused and been so proud to be the voice of the Browns.
