Boars Head expands recall More bad news from Boars head. This morning. The company has expanded its recall to include 7 million more pounds of deli meat and other products. They're all tied to a Listeria outbreak, an outbreak that's been deadly and this is coming after. There was an initial recall last week. Fox, 60 one's Angelo bro is live outside the stop and shop in Manchester with more on what you need to know Angelo. Good morning, Erica. Good morning. And this is really your alert to go through your fridge this morning. Get rid of any of those recall products you may have and also just be careful if you do plan to do some shopping at a grocery store any time today. Now, this new recall, it's big affects 71 products made between May 10th and July 20. These were under the Boar's head and old country brand names. Now, those new products, they include deli meat as well as some packaged meat Symptoms of Listeria and poultry products sold in stores. Those include liverwurst ham beef salami bologna and other products made at the firm's Jarrett Virginia plant. Now, those recalls are tied to that ongoing outbreak of Listeria poisoning that the CDC says has killed two people and sickened nearly three dozen in 13 states. Those symptoms to look out for those include fever, muscle aches, tiredness, confusion, loss of balance and convulsions and those symptoms. They can happen quickly or up to 10 weeks after eating that bad food. This is really an illness of immunocompromised people. So if you're over 65 if you're immunocompromised, if you're pregnant, those are the people that are really or perhaps a small child, you are, you are truly at risk Stop Shop and the investigation into what caused that outbreak that is ongoing. The recalled products have sell by dates ranging from July 29th to October 17th. Now, a spokesperson for Stop and Shop does tell us that DELIS were temporarily closed yesterday. Of course, that was to deep clean and sanitize. Get rid of all of that recall product and any other open deli meats and cheeses. For a full list of those recalled products, you can visit our website.
