what a job Mark stops has done at Kentucky they have really become one of the more consistent programs in the SEC now they haven't been able to reach the top of the SEC but again compared to where Kentucky was before uh Mark SS has done a phenomenal job you wonder about you know with Kentucky or with Texas and Oklahoma coming in to the SEC can Kentucky ever really get to the top or they going to get kind of buried a little bit more you know we'll see how that plays out but we know that this team is going to be solid they're going to be well coached uh just my thoughts on the Kentucky team before we get into the game by- game predictions um and that's the word I would use solid they're going to be very solid I don't really see any area where uh they're going to struggle now Brock Vandergriff coming in a quarterback unproven talented guy uh we'll see what they can get from him they still got really good receivers and that's going to be a strength on this offense don't maybe maybe they don't have that that game breaker at running back this this year maybe someone will emerge that's going to be a big story to watch there the offensive line should be very strong really both uh sides of the ball on the line of scrimmage Kentucky is going to be very very good and I think the rest of their defense will be solid as well so it's a Kentucky team that again is going to be very solid they're not going to beat themselves but they're probably not going to be able to beat the Elite teams in the SEC and that's kind of what we have seen now uh for quite some time and but like I said a second ago with with Texas and ok Oklahoma coming into the SEC are we going to start seeing Kentucky possibly fall off a little bit and get buried a little bit more a little bit further from the top of this conference we'll see Vegas has their over under win total at 6 and a half wins this season of course they're going to play Louisville in the non-conference but they never schedule another uh big time opponent I mean their other non-conference games are Southern Miss Ohio and Murray State so if you can beat Louisville you're already at four wins but yeah 6 and a half seems pretty fair going to have some very tough games in the SEC I do think they start with a win over Southern Miss so they get off to a 1 and0 start before playing South Carolina on September 7th an interesting South Carolina team I think offensively they're going to struggle they've got some talented backs um line of scrimmage though offensive line that's going to be the big key I think for them offensively U and I just think Kentucky really has a they're they're going to win that battle at the line of scrimmage on both sides of the ball they're better with their offensive line against the South Carolina defensive line and I think their defensive line will dominate the South Carolina offensive line that's going to be make it tough on the game Cox plus the game is played in Lexington really hard to see Kentucky losing this game so I think they take care of business against South Carolina not a blowout but I think they'll win by you know 10 to 14 points somewhere in that range I don't think South Carolina is going to be terrible and they've got some Playmakers on defense especially in the back end that could uh again make this game interesting Georgia next on September 14th and kind of like I was talking about yeah Kentucky is very solid and they can are capable of beating most teams in the SEC but then when they play the top teams like Georgia I just don't think they're going to be very competitive so I don't see this game being very close I think um yeah playing at home maybe they're fired up maybe they can hang around for a little bit but uh I don't see them winning that game you have to watch out for this game Ohio the next week pretty good Mac team um and you're coming off of a game a physical game against Georgia so don't be shocked if this game is close in the fourth quarter and we've seen that with Kentucky in the past with some of these group of five teams where they've had games to go into the fourth quarter before they are decided so I I expect that type of game here but I think Kentucky will prevail and they get to three and one next game is AD Old Miss on September 28th you know ky's probably going to want to slow this game down keep it a little bit more low scoring Miss they're going to want to shoot out they're going to want to score a lot of points I don't know which style will win but I think Old Miss is actually in a much better uh they're in much better shape on the defensive side to where they could actually win a game that is is not super high scoring I just think this is going to be a different defense but yeah Rebels playing at home their offense way too much uh I don't think Kentucky is going to be able to score a ton of points to keep up in this one I like ol Miss to win pretty easily here so three and2 record they get Vandy next on October 12th get a byee before we playing Vanderbilt not not necessarily the team that you would want to get a bye for but uh Vanderbilt's going to be bad um with with the nil and with the new teams coming to the all the changes in college football feel like Vanderbilt's just going to get buried more and more and more and uh Kentucky Will Roll here so I got the Wildcats next they've got Florida on the 19th on the road tough place to play this is going to be a big big big game for Florida Florida has of course we know a brutal schedule and when they've got an opportunity to get a win they're they're going to have to really really go all out and try to get those wins um I do think HomeField Advantage will have will make a difference here I think these teams are very comparable um I think that that middle tier of the SEC is Florida Kentucky and Auburn ironically they play Florida and Auburn back-to-back weeks and so yeah I think that that those teams are pretty even I think Florida playing at home and again maybe a desperate Florida team I think the Gators get this win I think uh it's a it's going to be a good match up but I'm going Florida here and then they'll play Auburn the next week on the 26th and I I just don't see Kentucky losing both of these games I think they're going to split here I did have Auburn getting a big win over Missouri uh it's an Auburn team that doesn't play nearly as well on the road uh Kentucky you know they they're they've got a pretty good HomeField Advantage I know it's it's not one of the best but it's still a tough place to play and uh at coming off of that loss maybe Auburn overlooks Kentucky a little bit especially if Auburn's coming off of a huge win over Missouri um I think that this is a game that Kentucky could could make Auburn make some mistakes in this one Kentucky will play sound um and I think Kentucky will get the win I think they're going to uh out coach the Auburn staff in this game and again that's going to get them to five and three the next week is on the road at Tennessee going to be a tough offense to stop but I think Kentucky will be able to score in this game so I think this this is going to be a little bit more of a shootout not necessarily what Kentucky wants but I think they'll have a chance in this one but at the end of the day Tennessee's offense just too much I think they'll pull away in the fourth quarter and we'll go vs in this one I do think they'll B bounce back with a win over Murray State the next week so that's put that's going to put them at six and four uh they'll play Texas next on November 23rd on the road uh pretty tough place to play Texas coming into the SEC uh it's just it's a really talented roster I think this Texas team is going to be right there where they were last year I know they lost some players but you look at what they brought into the transfer portal Quinn y's back at quarterback I really like this Texas team and I just don't see Kentucky hanging around in this game so going Longhorns big U I think Georgia Miss Texas those are games where Kentucky might get blown out I think Florida's very close and Tennessee is maybe a little bit closer but those three games I I just don't see any chance for Kentucky they Clos out with Louisville they have of course kind of dominated this series as of late I don't know what it is but Louisville just cannot see them to beat Kentucky the last few years so they're playing at home in this game Louisville is going to be a solid team going to have a solid defense I think this is more of a lower scoring game but uh it's hard to pick against Kentucky in this matchup playing at home when the teams are pretty comparable uh it's again it just doesn't make any sense for me to pick Louisville so I'm going Kentucky here to close things out at 7 and5 uh which is actually over the over under that was 6 and A2 um you look at this schedule and I really don't think they're going to win these five games that I've got them losing I mean I I just don't think they're going to win I feel confident that they're going to lose those five games but they could lose another game you've got South Carolina you've got Auburn you've got Louisville so six and six is definitely a possibility but I think they win those games and I think having them at home will be big um in fact we've got them almost you four of their five losses all coming on the road and I didn't look noticed this before and only one lost at home coming to Georgia and I think that's pretty fair the way the schedule
