Houser and that kind of protects it and makes it last a lot longer okay um and so and bend it and fold it and turn it into any of these shakes in the back here and more as well and so uh this is kind of an extremely versatile uh material M that you would be uh essentially it was kind of the plastic of its day so plastic very cheap you can turn it into almost anything tin almost the same kind of it so you can you can turn it into almost any shape you need and so the things you make are not going to be fancy but they are going to work and so you know they they would be kind of a cheap but serviceable you know kind of a an object so okay this is a barn Lantern and that's a lantern that's designed so that you don't need any glass um because glass can break and then you have an open flame that can catch fire to things so with all these holes but it's hot right when you touch no uh right at the top it uh directly above the candle it's very hot here it's warm but it's not so warm it's going to hurt you but actually yeah this disc here that is a a heat guard so that you can hold onto the handle without burning your hand okay um so you do have to be careful but the heat is um just an accidental byproduct what you're using this for is the light M and so this is used in Barns where you have hay and straw and the burn is made out of wood you absolutely can't risk an open flame at any point right so you've got this and then you'd actually be able to wire this lat shut uh so that if it falls you're going [Music] to what I don't know what kind of machine is this look at this machine very well thank you this is the this is second house and it's home uh to the strong family who originally uh farmed this property uh next to it is our first his first house where they first lived and they had seven children in that house really and then they moved here into the second house and had their fth child so they farmed this property uh right over Casi University oh so we're talking wool as we have our sheep here at the Village yeah um they would share the sheep in the spring after they had their land and then the fleece would get washed so it's hanging on the fence and then we dry it on the table and it would uh have the wonderful fleece like this and then we just take out any hay or dirt that's left in the and then it's what we call cing put the the on this card and then just brush it up to get all of the tangles and so forth out and then I just take it like this okay and this makes um what they call a roll mhm and then it is then spun into okay and my associate she's away at the moment but she's the she's the exell spinner I'm not so much okay I can't show so a lot of the colors are made from different uh Dy are made from uh bugs like Kosh for the red rhub leaves onion your hair as well right or even wax and that would help to hold the the I remember used doing this uh in my uh back home oh nice yeah you ever remember doing bad things like scorching your hair or
