Is day five for the surge for Joseph Couch. The suspected I 75 shooter law enforcement teams in southeastern Kentucky say they believe he is still alive. The Laurel County Sheriff's office shared this video from KSP giving us a look at that thick terrain that they're combing through as they search. The Daniel Boone National Forest reminder, here we're talking about a fort with 600 miles of trails and more than 700 acres of land spread across 21 Kentucky counties with that said yesterday, KSP added even more helicopters to the search and just for some added perspective, this area is bigger than Jefferson Oldham and Shelby County is combined and it's not just the size of it. It's also the terrain. This terrain is a lot like I'm from eastern Kentucky. So this is a lot like there and there's copperheads and there's rattlesnakes. And so it is not just a person that they're with. So far, police have recovered Couch's car along with a rifle case and several fully loaded magazines that were found in the vehicle as police continue the search, they urge you to stay away from that area. They're also asking for anyone with tips to call Laurel County at 606878 7000.
