hello guys so continue in our next lesson objective in chapter 10 10.1 e solve optimization problems and 10.2 a solve problems regarding rate of change including related rates so let's look at our first lesson objective in chapter 10 10.1 e solve optimization problems so to solve Optimum problems first uh we need to know that y = FX is maximum when frime X = to0 and FP Prime X is less than zero or we can say that first derivative equals to zero and our second derivative is negative or less than zero and Y = FX is minimum when F Prime x equal to0 and F Prime X greater than Z or we can say that the first derivative equals to zero and second derivative is positive so Optimum problem the first thing make sure Z minimum okay so here is the step for solving op problem the first one is we need to identify the variable to be maximized or minimized uh so first step Max height [Music] okay minimize okay the second step is Express Y into a single variable function say y = FX okay okay then we need to solve for fate and then verify the solution of frime x equal to Zer by the second derivative fpre X maximum minimum okay second test okay then the last one get the optimum value YX if it is required volume okay soep [Music] problem
