The 2023 NFC Championship game proved to be a
real "Who's that girl" moment for many fans, some of whom weren't even aware that
Philadelphia Eagles quarterback Jalen Hurts had a girlfriend at
all. So who is she, anyway? Hurts is a private person, despite being
a hero in Philly. According to WMMR, he rarely talks about his family or love life in
public. His Instagram profile is mainly football photos and posts about charity work. So when
his girlfriend made a rare appearance at the NFC Championship game against the San Francisco
49ers, fans were quick to talk about it. A photo of Hurts and his girlfriend, Bryonna Rivera Burrows, celebrating on the
field went viral, and one fan responded, "Jalen having a girlfriend hurt the heart." Another tweeted, "remembering that Jalen Hurts has
a girlfriend. even more upset that she doesn't have social media and i
can't live through her vicariously." And another compared their experience
to a video of LeBron James breaking down over a disputed call on
the basketball court, saying, "me after seeing jalen hurts with his
girlfriend even though I knew he wasn’t single" Burrows does have social media accounts, but
her Instagram profile is set to private. She clearly values her privacy, but from the
public information we do have about her, what is the quarterback's girlfriend all about? According to her LinkedIn page, Burrows is a
University of Alabama alum. She majored in Spanish and Political Science, earning her Bachelor's
degree in Arts and Sciences. She also has a Master's degree in Business Administration.
She currently works at IBM as an AI Partner. Burrows made the Dean's List and honor roll
while she was at the University of Alabama, Clutch Points notes, and she was a part of
the Golden Key International Honour Society, one of the top collegiate honors
societies in the nation. She has also won multiple awards for academics and
was a candidate for Homecoming Queen in 2016. Hurts played at the University of Alabama
for three years, so Essentially Sports, among others, presume that he met Burrows during
that time. It's also been rumored that the two broke up when the quarterback transferred
to the University of Oklahoma in 2019. "Turn the negative into a positive, you know?" "It makes a better picture."
"Go make somethin'. Exactly." Burrows was a star student at her alma mater.
Her presence can even still be seen across the school's social media accounts. For example, the
University of Alabama's The Culverhouse College of Business featured her on its Twitter for
her efforts to improve the student experience, writing in 2018 about her work
with the Association of MBAs, "MBA student Bryonna Burrows, our
next #WomenofCulverhouse feature, is a passionate advocate for advancing student
life on campus and continues to lead by serving as vice president of the MBA Association and captain
of the national award-winning MBA Case Team." A year earlier, the university's main
Twitter account featured Burrows, using her nickname "Bry," during Honors
week. The account quotes her as saying, "No words to describe the humble
reminder of Honors Day at #UA. Knowing I have been recognized is priceless." While some NFL wives and girlfriends may enjoy the
spotlight that comes from having a famous partner, Burrows likes to keep things a little more under
the radar. As we mentioned, her Instagram account is private, so the only visible photo is her
profile image. She also has a relatively small following. As of February 2023, she has fewer than
1,700 followers and follows only just over 1,200. So, with Burrows appearing to keep her
private life as private as possible, you may be surprised to hear she once went
viral on TikTok. She doesn't appear to have a public account on the video app, but she
found herself getting plenty of attention when a fan posted a video of her and Hurt
walking together through the hallways at Philadelphia's Lincoln Financial Field
in February 2023 alongside the caption, "She's so pretty." The clip received more than 28,000 likes and was
viewed more than 780,000 times in just three days.
