be in the thick of summer. You hot? Yeah. But that transparency and that can school communicating goes a long way. Yeah. All right. Justin is joining us now because yesterday was the hottest day of the year. Yeah, he’ll I 101 yesterday in a fun way. >> We’re getting close watch on news. Like 4 o’clock. It was like 99. Mike. >> On the other, you’re wanting it to get higher. Well, you know, it’s a weird game. One to forecast something. And it’s like on the extremes. You like that. Do it? Yeah, it was right. But yeah, okay. So and then today supposed to be hotter and well, it depends. Yeah, we could be anywhere between again 100, a 10102. I mean, at this point, we’re kind of splitting hairs, right? And yeah 100, it really does not feel so hot. Exactly right. And that’s part of the issue at that point is that you’re basically looking at, you know, potential where if we hit 100 degrees 5 days around now started last Friday, we had 100 Friday Saturday Sunday, one-on-one likely get to 100 102 as we get to this afternoon. So you get the idea is that we’re kind of locked in this pattern now, right? Where not only do we have air temperature that’s at caught right in the the other part, is this too. This morning we only got into the low 80’s so we need to get into the 70’s, right, holds its like if you’re not dropping the bucket this you don’t have much to facility. >> Got it. Got it. I do. Remember that last summer was miserable. It was so hot off of an earlier to write it. Yeah. >> Yeah. It started like late June all through July and then into August as won’t affect you guys have Max one behind me here. While I’m talking through this. Want to show you something. So we were looking at. So this is what we’re dealing with today, right? We get out of the way. Zoe good. This is our heat warnings, right? So this is brand-new. This got issued late last night. Excessive heat warnings generally don’t happen unless you have to air temperature getting above 105 great, which we may see in a couple of spots or you get the feels like numbers they can get above 113, which will probably see as well. So that’s part of the issue right now. Here’s last year, right? What do you notice about this last year? >> Lots of triple yeah, that’s how I remember it. Exactly right. And that’s the issue is that we were dealing with for says this year where we’ve only seen 6 days of 100 degree temperatures we had to at first and then we’ve had this current stretch run out from Friday all the way till today. >> But every day of the month, last year we go was above average route shout. And if you think about average temperatures for this time of year are still pretty hot or like 94. 95 96, that’s kind of where we topped out so to speak out and didn’t. Did we break the hottest on record last year? We did. Yeah. A couple of times it was like this one here. I believe this on the 20th and I know the 27th needed to throw out 109, right? And that’s just the actual air temperature. >> So we’re not even talking about the feels like numbers right? If you add that on. So another interesting thing about this is we’ve been talking about how much did we see? Look at the days of 100 plus and all of these locations here from last year. Yeah, wow. So we were stacking them up with hacking about, you know, by mid. And as you said, I think he’ll you mentioned it happened early, right. So it was like late June through July. Now, what was the difference this July? We got all the rain bands at a hurricane. We got all the rain. We’re like 7 and a half inches above average has no drought that we have to deal with. So great. Yeah. Literally. The complete opposite from what we were seeing last in their water restrictions in my neighborhood. There are all kinds of folks that are dealing with. Yeah, right. Water leaks everywhere from yeah. Right ground right? Riley everywhere. Yeah. From underwater, you know, plumbing and whatnot. They’re just kind of blowing. And that was part of the issue, right? Something we were talking about this time last year. You Sugar land intercontinental, which is where we use the official forecast from. We’re at 45. We basically stopped counting at once. We hit 99. I want to say it was right near the end really yeah. And so this kind of got stuff. But I mean College station there at 75, right? So we’re talking about just this major intensity. Yeah, and tiresome at that point, right? So today might be 100 or a or easily. How do how do we had we stay safe? Let’s talk about that. Well, the easiest way to kind of stay safe is to sort of get the idea of the just understand that over the next 2 days. This highs not going anywhere, right? So this is basically going to sit right on top of us. >> So what you need to do is you need to think about what are the important things. If I’m going out this afternoon and I’m looking at these numbers are anywhere from 111, 213. 0, one, 15 in sugar land, right? How you mentioned this top of the show is that this is when we’re starting to see practices. All the kids practice it all worth it to a star, right? Field, hockey, all of that stuff. >> Starting again. So these are the things you need to watch out for and the sounds simple, right heel. You know, I talked about this. Yes, yeah. It sounds simple. You go. I can push it back. If you think you remember all this stuff and tell your and you know these things, if you go and you’re like, OK, well, I can push, but oh, gosh, I’m starting to get a little bit of a headache or I’m feeling a little dizzy. This is the big one that a lot of folks just go away. It’s something for care. >> Had some Taco Bell that it went out, ran Shipageddon that know that your body saying, hey, things are This is the one that always gets me to this one race to lifeguard backgrounds in college. This was always good at have kids come up to me and they were like I feel cold. We’re >> That’s a problem with 100 plus degrees, right? That your body basically saying I can’t cool by south. And here’s the other important part. If you’ve got little ones, right, and you know, your kids are all starting to get out of that age and your little guy might still be. >> But especially toddlers, they can’t cool the same way that like kids and adults to their systems just aren’t built that way yet. And so you have to be very careful and very scary example with my oldest daughter who’s now 18 when we were in Mississippi. And she was first learning to walk. And so we’re just walk around. She’s good. She’s good. She’s good. And then we went inside and Erskine was like a red hot to the touch and she was flush and throwing up in a Lexus or uses. Yeah. And that’s a good marriage. Unser him. And he just said you got it this
