Hey, welcome back, everyone. Temperatures are actually on the downs swing as we're heading into our later hours right now, out of the Midland International Airport. 103. It's not ideal. I mean, that's tied for the record that we set back in 1985. We've already surpassed. We hit 104 this afternoon, but it only feels like 98 given that very low humidity and that nice little breeze coming up from the south at about 10 miles an hour. But hey, everyone's dealing with this heat. Still 105 in places like Andrews, Odessa, Fort Stockton, dry it up to 108. Same goes for Snyder, Ozona and Big Spring at about 106. That's why we're seeing more and more of these uh heat advisories continuing to kind of push their way farther and farther to the west and we've got areas like Marfa and even van or now included in those and at least the excessive heat warnings they're staying and out of our area. And it's because we're not seeing the humidity that much of north and central Texas typically. See. Thank goodness. Uh, you know, that's the one nice thing about West Texas. Yeah, it's dry. You might get some elevated fire risk. You don't have to deal with a whole lot of that moisture. But there is a little bit of moisture out toward Van Horn trying to push its way into Carl's Bat. We're looking at just some pop up showers, nothing sustained, nothing long lasting. Not even any thunder or lightning either. We'll keep our eye on it just in case. But hey, we'll take any kind of cool down. We can get, even though tonight I'm not expecting that cool down. It's because it's so hot in the afternoon, it takes a lot of time for that heat to get up and go away. So 80 degrees tonight and we were at 81 this morning, we'll deal with it. You go forecast for your Friday, hopefully got that early tee time because yeah, even by noon, we're getting all the way up to basically triple digits and we're kind of lingering around the lower end of triple digits going into tomorrow afternoon. I think projected high is getting up to 103. All right, we've dealt with that and that's where we're at right now. As a matter of fact, a little bit of that cloud cover going into the morning kind of hanging around even into the afternoon in the evening. A couple of these little pop up showers more so around San Angelo, they're gonna be staying outside of our region even for your Saturday, no rain chances. And a lot of that cloud cover again just kind of pops up, maybe gives you a little bit of shade and then it goes away. So you gotta run some errands toward the weekend, Friday, Saturday, Sunday. You know what your car wash forecast is looking. Just a ok, you got plenty of sunshine here. You sure I can do, uh, just make sure to dry it off because this heat, yes, it's still gonna be enough for an alert day for tomorrow. Considering I'm looking at more and more of those, uh, advisories and even some of those warnings lingering. Then we go into the weekend and even next week, next week, that's the real change here where we're dropping all the way down into the lower nineties, right where we should be for this time of year makes me appreciate just how mild our summer really was though. Alex Jordan up next the first.
