Welcome back, Subscribe & Like if you enjoy! welcome back I hope you're having a brilliant day and today we have the game week 3 preview unlike the last one this one's actually quite interesting last week it was just like yeah sell Quant this one though has a lot of different talking points a lot of things to discuss a lot of people on two sides of the fences which is really good because then I can put my own spin on things and we can debate things in the comments so if you disagree if you agree please let me know in the comments thank you very much for 2,000 subscribers I'm very appreciative again at such an early stage make sure to subscribe if you hav't already as we now push for 3,000 Rogers & Watkins and let's get into the video we are going to start with one of the hotter topics in the community this week and that is Morgan Rogers and just Aston Villa in general and we're just going to talk about them from a macro level perspective as well as a micro Rogers had a brilliant performance against Arsenal and I don't think anyone can debate that he was also fairly impressive against West Ham however I do think that the performance is being taken slightly out of context and it's probably not being looked at with enough depth or at least enough thought just from my perspective what was so impressive about Rogers against Arsenal specifically and West Ham to an extent was his demonstration of how he could leverage his athleticism to progress so well he would take the ball from the halfway line and carry it tremendously and he's not playing against someone who's physically incapable he's playing against Dean rice this guy is an unbelievable athlete and he gave him a very tough time yeah he ran rings around party but he also gave rice a very tough time so naturally when you're making plays like this when P behind you when you're at home and the commentators are hyping you up there's going to be a lot of hype that translates to his now footballing ability and rightly so right he was brilliant however in this game we don't care about anything but points you can be the best player in the world but if you're a center back who has no goal threat and your team doesn't keep any clean sheets we don't care it's all about defensive and attacking output Morgan gives white is a very very good footballer however one reason he's not an Ever present in most sides is because at Forest at least in the past he's had to do so much of the progressive work he's had to carry so much and by the time he gets to the final third it's pretty difficult for him to get his shot off in in a way where he's going to score and he just doesn't arrive as much in the Box as you would want a central attacking midfielder to do so so is this going to be the case with Rogers yeah he's had two very good performances but he hasn't got return and one of the big reasons is for that he's doing a lot of the leg work to get Viller up the pitch I'm going to take you to the next slide where we're going to look at two examples of what he's done now excuse the slight lack of quality not just for these Graphics but also just the graphics in general they have been set in motion now I have decided that enough's enough they're not good enough and they will be improving so you can expect that soon for it to look much sexier in the top image you see Rogers carrying against Arsenal he started a little bit further back than that and took it pretty much towards their box and Rogers did a very similar thing against West Ham where he took it just outside their box and got shot off and he did that multiple times throughout multiple games one thing I noticed though against Arsenal he had to do a little bit more and the space was a little bit more congested and they were a little bit more reliant on him against West Ham and with the greatest respect a worst defensive side with a worst Midfield didn't have to do this as much so the way I see this planning out and again I am just making an assumption right because I I don't have any data to go off right not statistical data nor it test data is that against the quote unquote weaker side for example like this week he has Lester away I think that his responsibility to progress will decrease I think they'll use their Wingers slash yeah they're mainly Wingers but it's a hybrid type of Winger and a very weird variation of a four trle two I think Bailey and mcin Ramsey will do that a bit more I think you can rely on Tan's brilliant passing to get you up the pitch quicker similar to how Liverpool do with Trent they don't carry as much B tyres but they don't need to when you have Trent and I think he'll be able to find himself in these Advanced positions a little bit more and instead of having to do the level work he can arrive that's why overall I am quite bullish on him and why I have selected him because I do think that the easier the game the less work he has to do from the back Villa will do some of the work for him like the other four will help him out even Watkins maybe dropping in very good Channel Runner but he can also drop in quite well to to hold up and then Rogers can do a role is sort of similar to what drb did at the start of last year where he was running off Watkins a lot I think with his pace and power and then technical quality to to finish within the box and stuff as we saw in preseason that's how I see Rogers going and it's why I can justify to myself bringing him in obviously at 5 million and with such great fixtures right he nails down the fundamentals as well and he opens up other things in the side but this is something I wanted to touch on and as to why I'm now buying on Rogers because I do think that having seen him do it more against Arsenal it would just be a a linear relationship between his Progressive nature in a game the quality of the opposition's defensive Midfield just to finish on him with regards to expect a minutes the fact that they have UCL football is not a good thing right you'll have to get rested it sometimes and I wouldn't be surprised to see John Duran partner Watkins maybe once in a while However the fact that he is such a good athlete shows me that especially when there's not too much overload on the body even though he's young he'll be fine for minutes and I think even getting 78 out of him when you're expecting vill to keep a decent amount of clean sheets in the next four so hopefully he can start at a Baseline of three is is promising when he facilitates so much of 5 million so yeah overall I'm I'm quite bullish on him now let's move on to Ole Watkins and this is mainly for people who are on a wild card I have seen some people get to him just from threee transfers as as part of their game week 3 team but I guess a lot of people who are looking to Target him or considering him are on a wild card first and foremost the fixtures which is something we really prioritize in FPL and rightly slow they're brilliant they are absolutely brilliant I think the fact that they're so much better than everyone else's but also in the past I haven't seen too many runs where they've got four backto back fixtures which are so good for both attack and defense and th I think it's a very safe play to go for him we're going to speak about him in World C structures later in the video but if you are looking to go for him just through free transfers and you're looking to sell isak I don't I quite like isak for the next one at least at least the next one maybe the next three which we're going to talk about as well however I have no complaints about selecting o Watkins I've seen some negative things about him like oh he missed chances oh he was one season Wonder last year etc etc I think you have to remember how well he actually did last year and it wasn't just the assist over performance yeah I agree I think that'll go down but the goals I think he can get there um I expect Villa to to improve this season overall I think the addition of aana will be massive and Rogers looks a really good acquisition for the first 11 at least and so with that in mind I'm I'm comfortable with with how Villa do this year I also therefore expect him to do pretty well he's probably just had a bit of a Euros hangover um came back very late no pre-season gets thrown into the goldland straight away with two very tough games especially like the second game being against Arsenal um and don't let the misses put you off because the fact that he's in those positions in the first place is what you want he's a good Striker and he will finish so I think assist wise you can expect a decline but goal scoring wise you may be less bullish on him than last year which is fine but I don't think you can expect him to do badly and with these four fixtures he's definitely a very very very good op now for those of you who Liverpool, Salah & Haaland have watched my content and followed me you'll know that I'm quite passionate about this topic and it's not actually something I expected to become a debate at least this early on however it has popped up a lot because of Wild Card 3 talk us I thought I would revisit it again because I see it as absolutely imperative if not the most important thing within your FPL team at the moment I am so so so bullish on harand I am convinced or at least largely convinced that he's going to break his goal scoring record this year if he stays fit he's on for 76 at the moment he probably won't reach that but 4 and two is a very good sign especially when one of them was uh was Kelsey away and he still looked like he was able to score a lot of goals there I thought the final passing that game was pretty poor from City and it was their first game you know they traditionally slow starters had a lot play etc etc but yeah they look really good so let's talk about them looking really good and I'm only going to go over this shortly there's many many many times number one when you have guardal being more of a Defender because of the attacking responsibility being shifted towards the wing of slightly more have more wide threat in the side that is very good because against sides that defend in deeper blocks having wide threat just allows you to reach the center more against deep blocks something that was happening was they were becoming so good at closing Central space that you would rely on ball striking of the likes of foden and Roger from outside the box to break it down you wouldn't actually break it down you would just shoot from distance to bypass what is a very well structured well drilled after breakdown block however the other way that's and the previous way that was I guess traditional was to use your Wingers stretch the pitch really wide create little pockets of space for the eight to T to occupy or leverage the one-on-one threat of your Wingers to help beat a man and then come inside the ball has to pretty much always end up at the center and if you just think about this logically if you've got a packed box or a packed area close to the box it's difficult to shoot there's just a lot of bodies in the way first you have to manufacture the shot which is difficult in itself but then also to get it through a crowd of bodies and for it to be so precise especially in the Premier League when you get closed down so for a variety of reasons mainly the quality and physicality while it's very difficult so the only way to really score is to get the ball in close proximity to the the box in the center he's the one who's going to be stationed there if anyone does choose to go really deep against these guys which less teams are choosing to do and Low Blocks are becoming a little bit of a Dying art in the Premier League I think especially as of last season but even more so this year well he's the one who's always going to be stationed there and then You' just got the fact that he's actually so good at football right forget the system for a second how it's optimized for him we'll come on to kdb in a second this man is a massive massive threat in so many ways dominates the space in the Box he if you have a high line he will rip you in behind because he's so quick he's so strong a good finisher he has a variety of finishes etc etc right going back to the system as well having kdb behind him instead of foden I think is a big deal I think foden took a lot of the responsibility for gos and just output in general which is uh great for him but I don't think you looked to City last year we're like oh yeah the best city we've ever seen we've definitely seen better pep sides however with de bruyne behind him who I would say is much more of a supplier and he's not just behind him as well right like I've seen him drop into the left half space quite a lot you look at the second goal that City scored against ipswitch he really dropped and that's where it came from he did something in the first five minutes against Z Swit with guardo where he came very deep as well so he's going to help the play build up and progress from there quicker and just City's Tempo and Rhythm and able to circulate and get up the pitch will be quicker as well yeah I just think they will generate so many chances he looks he is fitter and he is healthier you can just tell he's had a long break just don't understand why you'd pivot away like West Ham away is not a bad fixture for him you Villa showed you that you can play through West Ham and if they can do it City can do it and certainly Harem can do it brenford at home well they gave up a a little bit more space and a bit more expansive than I expected them to be against Liverpool when I watched the extended highlights so I have no problems with him playing that fixture and yeah sure he has Arsenal at home in five but I I actually don't think that Arsenal at home is going to be the same type of ultra kg Affair it was last year we can touch on that closer to the time but I I still back him to score in that and I'm genuinely thinking about captaining him and I will be comfortable in yeah for me when you have a player who is captaining BN pretty much every single week his floor is so high and his ceiling is even higher I just don't see why you're trying to make the game so difficult for yourself and ensuring that you have to hit with pretty much every other spot I plan to Captain him basically every week so yeah that's my um harand propaganda over let's move on to Salah and the the last point about watching the extended highlights is about Salah if you look at an older Jurgen Klo side it was very much firmino drops in Salam man boom boom boom through the half spes penetrating runs consistently stretching the last line closer to the Box just in general then in the last CL season he became slightly more of a creative but still like there wasn't as much output or responsibility given to the eight in terms of the attack so he still generated a lot of output and he started very well right it's not the fact that I'm trying to say Salah is a bad player he is to me and has been for a long time the best right winger in the world and the best right- wing of the league has ever seen I write him so highly so so so highly and I have so much respect if the fact that he's 12.5 which really puts me off and the fact that I don't think his output is going to be at a level which justifies that price tag when you have the opportunity cost of other players which we're going to come on to in the next slide however just going back to it you see sosler making a lot of runs into that right half space you see jot occupying the middle a lot you see Robertson coming in off that left side he he did that a lot a lot of underlapping runs where Diaz would go wide and now you have a lot of players and and you've obviously got Tren and Diaz themselves okay so now you have a lot of players that are allowed to essentially put them to be in positions which are going to lead to goals and assists and I think when the spread's going to get bigger at 12 and a half you really want someone who is the focus of the output and I don't think he is in this Liverpool side anymore there is no debate that harand is the focus of that City side to put the goals in the back of the net similar to when sun plays at 9 and if sankis to play at N9 similar to Gordon and is how they have dominion over it similar to havitz and Saka how they have considerable dominion over it I don't think salah's got it to the same extent anymore I think lovly do really really really well I'm not saying that but I'm talking about the fact that there will be a greatest spread of output and the opportunity cost which so this is well the players and their second best Alternatives right from Salah you only have a five to six point decline into the next being Palmer sacr and son off for 2 and a half2 million cheaper and then for harand the next alternative is havit who is a lot lot lot cheaper at what 7.7 million cheaper and 10 but he's 10 points off okay I've excluded well back and madw here because no one was really considering him at the start of the Season thus I feel just to be an unfair comparison and plus it it negates itself when they're both very similar in both categories with that in mind even if you are to take 2.5 million out of harand and put it into you know the others where are you going to spend the money because you're probably not going to be playing a for the back and I think rightly so there are so many good attacking options especially with the shifts in the bonus structure and you would want two forwards and can the likes of havs Watkins eak get close to covering Harland I don't think they can get even close this year whereas yeah sure they're five six points above but Salah had two very decent opening fixtures as us think that Palmer sacka son l so son definitely left so when he moves to the left at nine is a different story but I think he will move to the left back and scker especially though I think at their cheaper price tags can cover Salah and not just cover Sal I think they can outscore him I said at the start of the year that I think sacka outscores him I stand by that and we'll see how it develops but yeah that's essentially my my counter argument one the opportunity cost and to just the spread of output maybe meaning that Palmer and sacka can catch up again I think he'll score a lot of points I think Liverpool will do very well their attack will do very well I think great I just think in FPL when you're paying 12.5 it's too much when you have Alternatives there who can go bar for bar with him okay the next thing I want to speak about is Man United versus Liverpool and how I think that this game's a little bit Tougher Than People probably are giving United credit for before we do that however I love Trent as an asset I have nothing bad to say about Trent I do think that like in certain structures have to take a bet because he is seven and right forget white for a second cuz most people haven't gone there the next alternatives are all at six and that 1 million is a lot in the defensive category right that's the difference between a five and a six which is huge right like how many five million Defenders are there even team so I think trend's great but I don't think he is essential um I think he'll he'll definitely get a Mega Hall soon I watched the extended highlights against bord I was really really impressed and out of the Liverpool assets he's comfortably my favorite I just don't think he's essential as people are say although very very very good yeah so going back to Man United Liverpool haven't beaten them in the last three and United are a side that honestly a better set up to play in these type of games I think one thing they really struggle with is their buildup and their creativity and you don't really need to use that or leverage that as much against Liverpool because they'll come on to you a lot more so you can just transition and Counterattack a lot more and what's their biggest threat rashford rashford's transitional threat is huge for them and it's been an outlook for ten hog in in systems which he's deployed many a time now I think it's put too much responsibility on rashford and thus he suffered as a result plus he hasn't even got a left back to really help him right he's not got like an overlapping luk to to really help him as he had in the past which allows him to come inside a bit more which I think is really beneficial for him but regardless I think these type of games are pretty good for United even if they want to defend a little bit deeper they can knowing that they have the transitional threat with Bruno who's like you give him the ball and he he'll find you he's he's brilliant in that sense and then you have gacho you have rashford we'll see what zerx is like in in type of games but overall I think that United definitely have a goal in them and thus like if you are going to go for a game we3 wild card you don't necessarily need to have Trent I also think Forest are underrated they've had two pretty decent performances so far and if they have a good performance against wolves there's no reason that they can't go to anfield and not saying win they can win but you know make it tough or score and I just think that game week four fixture is being a bit overrated to be honest that's another thing but yeah I'd just be a little bit cautious on how bullish Gameweek 3 Best Wildcard Draft you are on so I recorded a wild card draft for all of you to see yesterday and it seemed to be grateful for that this is the team and if you do want to check out the video you can do so it's literally my my last video that I uploaded where it talks about this team in Far Far More depth thus I'm not going to go over it again again it has a 90% rating and you can get your ratings found at Fantasy Football Hub and your suggested transfers for example it told me to bring in seeno that is not something I considered I was always on the Rogers train and it opened my mind so that was something that's beneficial then you get team reveals from some of the best people in the world Ben Rich Clark for3 a month I think that's such great value and then obviously there's a whole host of other featur so if you would like to check it out you can do so and play around with the tools with the link in the description and they're still 50% off you get your money back if you win your mini league the offer expires soon I don't know exactly when it finishes but it it expires soon um but take action and I think it would be very very good decision if you care even slightly about finishing well in FPL but yes this this is the draft and you can go and find the video from yesterday and hopefully it helps one quick thing actually I would like to add about the draft I do think that Trent Gabrielle nid delovic and Gordon are probably like the four that I wouldn't mind whopping out for example you could and go Gordon to Watkins you could get rid of Gabrielle because you don't fancy keep cheat the next three and you're happy to bring him in game week six etc etc right but those are the four players which i' look at potentially moving about I think everyone else in that draft is Buy & Sell? - Bruno, Eze, Palmer, Madueke, Isak & Son absolutely step for me right moving on to the last section of the video this is the hot topics and the next side will be hot topics but strategic version We a little bit talk about about Arsenal Assets in particular okay I do not think that Bruno Fernandez has been as unlucky as some owners have made him out to be and maybe I just think a shift in perspective could potentially be beneficial by I mean also looking at looking at his prospects down the line I touched on this in the transfer plans and I'm here to elaborate it is no one's fault but his own that he miss the two chances against FIP I I agree the assist against Brighton very very unlucky and I have nothing but passion for for that right that was oh okay the two finishes against Fulham finish that's his fault and his fault alone when Darwin nun Mis chances people weren't like oh oh you're buying a player with bad bad finishing deal with it and now Bruno Fernandez is not a bad finisher but it is him who has missed the two chances there were no real other variables that play yeah sha Lena made there one very good save in particular but the responsibility lies with the asset that you picked and that's just going to happen like a lot of players Miss chances Harlem missed a massive chance in the second half against IP switch right and people don't care because he scored a hattick but at the end of the day it was still him who missed a chance and if you ask people they were like yeah I wasn't really unlucky just a good I think you have to take the same perspective with Bruno Fernandez I think the fact that yeah sure he's missed a couple chances but him who missed it feel too sorry for yourself that's just my opinion and I I say that because I do think in the long run it will benefit you because I think you're trying to get a little bit lucky with Bruno Fernandez without knowing it I was thinking about him quite a bit and I was like with United's buildup problems with the fact that his positioning slightly unsettled and either he's playing as a false line where he has very little Supply or he's playing quite deep to help solve the progressive issue well he's always in positions that are not really optimal for an FPL asset and one of the reasons you pick Bruno Fernandez is because he has such good fundamentals right 90 minutes penalties but are you relying on that a little bit too much are you relying on him getting a penalty are you relying on the fact that he just has so many actions within the game and the fact that he's on the pitch so much to generate a return as opposed to the fact that like there's genuine goal threat there from open play and I think the answer maybe is yes and that's why I really don't like him as an asset at the moment if you can I would move on on a wild card I'd definitely move on if you have no problems in your team I'd move on but if if not I don't think Liverpool at home Southampton away are by far the worst fixures I actually think they're pretty decent pictures however I can just imagine him dropping in price pretty quickly and that he takes up so much of the budget when someone likeo has what Southampton at home for 7even million this week and if could make that move I would like it just some food for thought with Bruno Fernandez I know some of you will be like that's harsh and I'm wrong and that's fair enough like I respect your perspective I quite adamant that he on him although I kind of do like e on the other hand I think on have been pretty he's been very good a couple of times he's done pretty much without getting over the line uh classic Haz don't buy don't sell when he's dominating those zones those Central zones at left half space and he's just in around so much and he's got such a high frequency of actions within a game accurate phrase on top of his quality he's going to return um I don't think Chelsea will be particularly easy fixture for them but especially with Lester at home in following fixture just keep him he's a really nice price well just got to swallow the price drop if Palmer to play this 10 then he could become Central once again because the fixtures are really really good got one of the probably the second best fixture on Aston b side but it was the role it wasn't just a normal another 10 roll I saw Jackson dropping in a lot Palmer running off him a lot it was almost like a false n Roll for Jack at times and false R for Palmer at times maybe what United are looking for but haven't quite been able to achieve obviously the profiles of these players are different better combination so easier to facilitate but nonetheless I thought it was really really good um such a high volume of actions in and around the Box in advanced areas just always looking to attack so dangerous on the ball could got on and on and on but it's just very basic it's just very very good at football he looks like he could generate a lot of output and he's playing in a good position side which seems to finally maybe click just a little and will be able to score goals so nothing bad to say I would give mad way a week before you buy him I think yeah he'll definitely start against Palace right but just give a different scenario you can't transition on Palace as much woles it'll be a different game assess his minutes after maybe he doesn't score a hattick against pis and see what happens I just think there's so many other good options give it a week and if he if he B It Again by all means go there but otherwise I think you can wait and you are taking a little bit of an unnecessary risk I don't know why there's such a big apostrophe after before the a but anyway um isak this the Spurs victure has always been good right for Newcastle they score a lot of goals when SS come to town um and it makes sense from a systematic perspective right they offer you a lot of space and behind youo are good in a basketball typ of style type of game where there'll be a lot of Transitions and will offer you that so I expect a very very good game and entertaining game of football um even wolves they offer a lot Chelsea a lot of Transitions and I think Fulham do that less so but there's still the the opportunity there and they're third anyway so if he hasn't done well against Spurs and wolves he'll be gone by then but yeah when there's so many other problems and opportunities that will pop up around the place for example Palmer is a new one that a lot of engaged managers don't own Rogers oh but now we have to take out Henderson or Bruno etc etc I think when isach has a decent fixture just keep him and then we'll take things from there Sun I think is a great asset at nine and a much worse asset at left wing the Newcastle fixure I think is cool for him I I like it I think like I said in the basketball style of game when he's at nine he'll definitely Thrive leveraging is finishing in around the box and the fact that he'll just be able to run in behind but after game week three with Arsenal and then Renford at home if he is to be back at left wing because I presume sanki will be back after the IB I think you have to sell him he's also a really nice route the Palmer he could relinquish some cash for an essay in game week four etc etc right so for me he has to go and this is probably the last week we own him for a The Warren Buffet Strategy little while and finally a little bit of talk on strategy right those four players listed there are the ones that at the start of the season I had the idea of never taking out and actually let's talk about why it's called wary very quickly someone who's known for traditionally holding stocks over a long period of time and the I'm looking to do that with my assets of not touching the best ones harand sacka Gabriel havit who I see as my best and then essentially moving the rest around and trying to maximize the upside with shorter term move there maybe you can consider this long-term value investing and the rest of the people I'm trying to trade with I I spoke a lot about Holland and I spoken a lot about Arsenal so it's not really to speak about them too much I know a lot of people have been relinquishing their assets on game week on a game week 3 wild card people are sending them just in general to facilitate other players people looking back and gaming four for Salah ET Etc I think Brighton atomes is a good fixture for their attack Gabrielle I understand more so if you're in a position to I think you're one him in game week six and where there's other problems and opportunities it's not the most efficient use of a transfer when they play for the best defensive unit but I get it slightly more as opposed to sackur and hav who I think definitely have a good chance against Brighton with their positive controlling style of football they're always going to give you an opportunity like you with high turnovers not so much with the extent of the the B box that I I call it that the Zer used to employ however I still I still fancy their chances Spurs away again is is a good fixure for them right they have so much space to operate in in those transitional moments these are two players that absolutely Thrive they have the skill sets and they're well equipped to dealing with them and and profiting within them SP away last year as well is a is a victure that these two assets did well and then yeah sure you got City away in five but it's just one week and it's not like these guys are incapable of scoring and like I said I do think the game will be a little bit more open this year but again where you have transfers which are certainly more optimal I would say to use on for example getting Inu out and putting out the fires I think when these guys are so good just let them ride and they'll they'll do their business and they're somewhat fixture proof anyway so you don't need to optimize your team every single week otherwise if you constantly chasing the new shiny toy as you probably plann in life and everyone's plann in life a bit whatever not really too sustainable something will always there'll always be a new shiny right so that's my perspective on it you may have other players right you may have Salah you may have Karma who I think could be in this category that I owned him maybe Trent porro and I that's fine I'm not talking about these players being the only ones I'm just saying that I do think that having your best players as set and forget and fixing the fires is more of an efficient way to play as opposed to the the opposite way which I'm seeing other people doing currently Thank you so much. Please consider Subscribing & see you tomorrow. where they move and that ladies and gentlemen is it I really enjoyed that and there were barely any Cuts I kind of just flowed through that video so I hope you enjoyed it let me know what you think in the comments anything you want to talk about your team talking about the video particular Point more than happy to do so I reply to pretty much every comment if not every comment as you can see on screen I've had a decent start and which we hope to build on before the break so please do subscribe i' would be very very appreciative as we now push for 3,000 subscribers thank you very much like the video and have a wonderful day I shall see you tomorrow for the team selection goodbye
