all right what is up everybody it's that time of the year again got the hawy tie on I'm in my business suit it is time again for Mr R Daddy's hockey football analysts week one is here so let's get going okay a lot is similar to last year let's get going again free game offense defense special teams and the big role of the week as tradition again every view is completely my own I love the school to death this is all for fun pregame let's go Kirk's out this week this is the first time since 1978 where we don't have Hayden frier Kirk fence on the sidelines but guess what we can't let it affect us negatively this team is ranked in the FCS ranking so we got to have a good start against these guys Seth Wallace you just got to show up big as acting coach because going to tell you no way this team can start 0 and one just not a chance so offense one thing I'm switching for this year is I'm just making basic notes putting them all in one slide so start out Illinois State's got a very good linebacker and Amir Abdullah he got first team All Conference last year this guy knows how to make plays just really be on the lookout for him you got to let Kade mcnamer throw deep it worked well against Utah stateum last year's opener against an FCS school so do it then play action passes misdirection runs red birds run a 4-3 this is going to be a good way to keep him off Balan keep him guessing we got to force him to be guessing now on to defense you got to pick up the pace from last year right away you you got to show Illinois state that this is a whole new level defense they signed up to play in that contract because hockey defense something teams have a hard time preparing for this is a great school to prove that it's a hard time and again I can't name any specific player on this because it's going to be everyone's responsibility if you let an FCS school just get big plays early it's only going to benefit them going to give them momentum cannot do it prevent those big plays from happening early and often it's everyone's responsibility and they have a great running back Mason King just don't let him be king just look out for him see what he's doing if it's pass game Run game definitely look at his alignment look at the holes look at where he wants to run just do not let him be kinged special teams okay win the field position cuz obviously if you watched this team last year we all know punting was our biggest strength even on offense more often than not but tro Taylor's gone restocking you just got to get on a good start because again unneeded momentum that's not something we need an FCS under school that's an underdog to to get don't let him get the momentum including their starting field position same with kickoff just don't let any big returns happen punt it deep win the hawy way they don't need any momentum whatsoever from that now that time again R Daddy's big roll of the week what this is is it's an interesting strategy formation trick play or otherwise surprise tactic which I would use if I was an Iowa coach to potentially catch the opponent off guard and are giving unexpected advantage to the Hawkeyes and again each one can only be used once in a season I should have updated this saying that this is my third year of doing this I I can't use the same big roll of the week as I did for this opponent last year or a similar replacement opponent so here we go the double reverse MCN will snap it in the gun I'll give it off to Jacob Gil I'm just or any receiver and then reverse it to Seth Anderson or whoever he wants but they're going to run the opposite way it's an outright double reverse as he can get great yardage if not a touchstone and the defense they're just not going to know easily where this play is going so it could work really could confuse him on a double reverse because you're running you're running this way then this way boom maybe get some good yardage there thank you for watching let's win this game and go Hawks
